I'm from Europe, and the dubbed version of the Cosby show was first once a week in a prime time spot, then re-runs were on TV daily until 2007 or something. That show was super successfull

I'm 45 too from the UK. Yo! was the only way to keep up with hip hop. But you had to have cable or satellite TV. I had an uncle who would record it for me on vhs. I gotta look for that sh!t

However, if you're from the Tri State area you also know Ed (Lisa and Dre in the morning) as a hip hop radio personality on a hip hop radio show which predates any nationally syndicated hip hop radio morning show out today. Skeezer actually came from cocaine/crack, because coke used to be called "ski" in the '70s and '80s... ski, of course, is in reference to snow skis. Cocaine was also called "snow," so it transitioned to "ski." So a skeezer was a street walker addicted to cocaine or crack who was willing to give you sexual favors in exchange for that ski. A lot of rappers in the '80s had "ski" in their names... i.e. Joeski Love and Lovebug Starski. Because they were advertising that they were DOPE. Dope is another name for drugs, of course. Coke is a drug. That's where it all came from... Shout out to Brother ?uestlove.
