6mm creed is the same bullet diameter as a 243. Most have heavier twists to shoot heavier bullets. The 6mm creed is the same case as a 6.5 creedmoor but necked down to hold a .243 bullet. I’m looking at getting one as my antelope and deer hunting rifle which will turn into my 11 week old sons first rifle. I told my wife I need one now so I can make sure it works by the time he’s old enough to hunt (which is 10 here in Montana) she didn’t buy into my game. I am looking at the same exact gun. When I saw the thumbnail for video reminder I knew it was some sort of Ruger American rifle as I recognized the silhouette. The caliber choice was what I couldn't decide. Definitely good rifles and I know it wont disappoint.

FYI the 308/243/7-08 cartridges are all made from a 30-06 mother cartridge check your loading manuals for measurements for rim diameter and case diameter on each of those, so since the magazine on this 6mm Creedmoor uses same it may be the same as well

I like the Hornady gmx bullets. I think it’s the next best thing besides a Barnes tsx for whitetail. I love a solid copper boo lot.

Yes! I've been waiting for some vids testing the capabilities of a 6 Creedmoor. The fact that it's the specific rifle that I've been eyeing is icing on the cake.

I drooled on the 6mm for quite a while before going with the more common 6.5. Savage makes a relatively inexpensive one as well as the American but that’s about it.

I know the 6mm is, relatively, the new kid on the block. The 6.5 is all the rage now. But I’m a little more pragmatic in my thoughts.

Dunno. Barrel burner? WWII weapons fired WAY more than 1500 rounds with much lower tech powder than we have today. In fact most still fire accurate today.

👍👍👍 I don’t know anything about the 6.0 CM…I await enthusiastically for your sight-in and groups.. On a side note those Ruger American rigs have to be the best value for money that is getting around ATM. Quality, price, reliability and performance they are second to none

I have this one and it's a shooter. Mine likes the long and heavy bullets. 103, 108 are very accurate. Great shooter!

We really like the 243 but the 6 CM has some advantages over the good old 243. If I get a 6 CM it is likely to identical to yours.
