I Had My Golf Clubs Stolen | Episode 3 - Chasing The Red
Фильм және анимация
Welcome to Episode 3 of Chasing The Red, my pursuit of trying to break par. Before I filmed, I had my golf clubs stolen so I teed it up with a gorgeous Titleist persimmon driver.

Your positive attitude is infectious, Iona. So many people would be angry about the theft and frustrated with not having their own clubs. Meanwhile you're grateful to still have your old clubs and having a great day playing golf. A lesson to all of us to be sure. Love this series.

Dear me , some people really need to give their head a wobble. Does it really matter to you that much regarding the clubs being in the car. Just enjoy the superb content.
The best golf KZread channel at the moment, the quality of golf, the commentary, the filming and soundtrack all make such a good video. Absolutely love the in the red series.
I love the personality of your dog, so calm and so well behaved. Considering your attitude when you play I'm not surprised, the way a dog behaves says a lot about its owner 😊 And this dog exudes tranquility and confidence❤
As if you couldn't love Iona anymore , she casually brings out the best behaved dog in the country and strolls the course together. More of this please 😁
JUST found the channel great video from one of the best presenters in golf. Surely Titleist need to get you down for a fitting and get you sorted out with clubs and the like. All the best in getting things sorted and keep up the great work on TV.
This is class golfing content from a class golfer. Golf is in a good place with Iona involved….⛳️👏👍
The information that the average golfer like myself can get from watching Iona play is priceless. The swing, thought process and execution is a joy to watch.
I watch Rick, Pete, Good Good, Bob does sports for the bants...I now watch Iona for the golf and commentary/shot thought processes. So calming, so peaceful and how golf should be played...The best content by far and I'm getting on board with the chasing the red concept which has really helped my game..thankyou and keep going with these videos Iona .. perfection
You're SUCH a good putter .. knocking those 3 footers in like you're eating cookies...
I was so googly eyed over your beautiful doggo that I didn’t even hear where you were playing!
Golf and a Labrador - what's not to like! 😍
Brought back the memories of my junior golf days, using a persimmon wood Iona. Brilliant ball striking as well. I must say if I hit the ball like you I’d have less dummy spits out there too. Love your attitude out there. Hope you can do a round at St Andrew’s. That’d be great to see. Love these videos. 👍🏽🏌️❤️
I think a Highgate re-match with your own clubs just has to be done. To shoot +1 with a previously unused tee-offer was mighty impressive. So much for the 'cricket score' you predicted after the first hole.🙂

"tee-offer" I love that
Loved this video - put the persimmon in your bag! Really nice job, Iona
What a horrible feeling it is when your clubs are stolen. Been there myself. Glad to hear you'll be getting them back.
You hit every shot so pure with an effortless swing.
Awesome 👏🏼 well played Iona great watch that 🏌️♀️
I was waiting for one of those 'dog gone it' reactions. This woman is every male golfers dream woman.
Glad you've got your sticks back, great video and an inspiration on how to react to poor shots 👏🏻
When you missed that short putt on the second, and your reaction…I feel your pain!!!!! CONSTANTLY!!!!
Iona you are a delight to watch play golf! Despite having your car and golf clubs stolen to go out and play with a such a positive attitude is amazing! Your dog is so well behaved and you treat her with such love is especially wonderful to watch! As a fellow dog lover, I loved the way you treated her. Keep being a positive role model in golf!
Best episode yet !! Great round of golf with unfamiliar clubs, amazing score, all things considered. Fun watch and lovely to see the dog. She was so well-behaved. Glad you got your clubs back. Hope they weren't damaged.
I can just listen to Iona tell the story of her round of golf. Her visual story telling, like her golf is exceptional!
Good shooting, Iona. That course looks terrific. 🧐👍
Sorry about the theft. That is terrible. I noticed the shoes straight away. Love the green. Your pup is adorable. Cheers from USA.
Iona combines her skills as a golf commentator with her golf pro career. Very personable, very relatable. Great watch. 👏👏👏
Iona, you are so engaging and your channel is excellent. Such a shame that you had your car and your clubs stolen, but your continued enthusiasm for golf is wonderful. I particularly loved the fact that your dog showed absolutely no interest in your golf shots 😂
Iona, I love the storytelling elements that you insert into each episode of this series. I had no idea that you've battled back from such a bad injury. Please keep doing what you're doing!
I am absolutely loving this series, and my goodness what a round with that persimmon driver- incredibly cool!
Your Driver reminds me of my old Haig ultras with screws which i used for 20yrs until i moved to Asia and everyone at Sentosa golf club S'Pore just laughed. Now have a 9.5degree Nike driver which magic.😅
What a brilliant video, you just can't beat getting a shot of an old club. Brilliant and what a well behaved dog 🏴⛳💙🤍
The persimmon brought back a lot of memories. I still have a pretty good collection of them but can no longer hit them out of my shadow. The sweet spot is the size of a pencil eraser but when you nail it with a hard swing it will go 50 yards further and straight. I love my new drivers because they are forgiving and long. But they can't touch that instant feedback when you nail a wooden club flush. It's like nirvana.
Every single person out there who's also a golf nut deserves to find their own version of Iona. Would be so to sweet to have a partner who's this positive and lovely - and who could also dust you at golf haha. Good luck to us all! 🥰✌
There is no other golfer in the world i would rather play a round with. I just love your attitude, personality and way you deal with the great game.
I got so caught up in my own memories I forgot. I love your channel. You make it really fun.
Your ability to smile & have a good day even though you are reminded on every shot, that your clubs....and subsequently your car...were stolen...is so very admirable. Im not sure there is much that makes a person more likable, than positivity at times when its not a given. Thank you for sharing your day with us. -- OMG -- that ending....😁
So sorry to hear your clubs were stolen...hope you enjoy some new clubs...Ping makes good ones...I have Ping irons and a PXG driver...love it.
wonderful blog, and great play with clubs you don't know. That would have been an excuse for most of us for playing bad, but 1 over? Great result, well done! Nice to finally see your dog, she's behaving wonderfully! We had a Maremmano, but sadly she passed away two months ago for kidney problems. I could never bring her out to golf with me with the character she had, had she seen a cat or a rabbit or - god fobid! - another dog on the course, it would have ended in a total nightmare! We still miss her very much, every day, so sad. But yours is very brave and she listens too... Great series, keep it up!
Amazing golf, with clubs you are not use to, brilliant score and very entertaining. Each your heart out Rick Shiels and his break 75. Iona looking to break par every time. Well done..😊😊 Your dog is well behaved as well 😊
Great to see you taking a persimmon out Iona, and you got some very respectable yardages from it. I have a similar Titleist driver and the head is quite heavy so it rewards a smoother swing. If you like old clubs, my channel might interest you as it covers mainly UK made clubs from the 1930s to the 1980s.
Hi Iona. I absolutely love your golf VLOGS. Your channel is the way all KZreadrs should handle their game. Your skills are impressive, but the way you look at golf and life is precious.
I can't believe your car has been stolen... When I say that I mean I can't believe your car has been stolen by watching you and your demeanour. You're amazing Iona.
Not only is Iona the best golfer on YT but I love this purely golf format - every shot is described in detail - I’m watching and learning..
Great video .. the course looks amazing, your attitude towards the theft of your car and clubs is great you didn't let it get you in a bad mood while out playing golf with your dog .. i agree with you golf and dogs go hand in hand . keep up the good work ...i'd like to see drivehead size go smaller while leaving the ball where it is
Great format and inspiring insights into the mindset when health stops your dreams. Would be great to See you on cool other courses like Valderama, Utrecht de Pan or GC Falkenstein👍
Lovely, well-behaved dog. An instant reflection on their human companion. Love that persimmon. Brings back memories...
What a round of golf under the circumstances and so happy that you got your clubs back. Love the series, more please and you've gotta have that gorgeous pooch back on again ❤
Well done Iona just proves that even with the old stuff in you bag you can still make a decent score
Loved this video. Dog, persimmon driver, great golf. Such a lovely rhythm to your swing. Keep chasing the red.
So calming watching you play and talk us around the course. Hope you get reunited with your clubs soon.
Another solid round +1 with a 35 year old driver is outstanding..Clubs returned safe and sound as well.
The sound of a persimmon driver striking the ball on the screws, priceless! Sorry to hear your vehicle was stolen, hope you get everything back. Your dog was wonderfully behaved, I wish we could bring our hounds out on our courses in Canada.
I really enjoy your channel. Great variety of courses visited and always useful pieces of advice. I played as a junior member at Ranfurly Castle Golf Club, Bridge of Weir oh so many years ago. A great course to learn on. Moray Anderson.
So sorry to hear you had your car; and thus your clubs absconded with, cut off their hands... I find the persimmons are so smooth feeling to hit when you hit the screws; just a joy
Your enthusiasm for the game is only matched by the love you have for your gorgeous dog. Love your videos and tips which are always helpful. So glad you got your clubs back.
Great golf, so pleased you got your clubs back. What a well behaved Lab.
This series has the best vibes!!!
Very enjoyable, loved seeing the old wooden headed driver in your hands.
Love your positivity Iona!
That driver needs to stay in the bag!! I bought a set of vintage Wilson 1200 blades as they were my first ever clubs handed down by my Grandad and I’m close to using them!! They are that good still!! Lucky not to ever had clubs stolen but all you can do is crack on!! I’m currently on eBay looking for a persimmon 😂
LOVED your “sweet companion” throughout the video 🥰
This is really among the top youtube golf content these days. Good golf, relaxing and interesting and with a bit of a story element to it. Keep up the good work!
Loving this series Iona. I wish I had your swing, its a joy to watch. Keep up the good work.
First time seeing any of your videos, you're adorable. The golfing community needs about 10M more just like you :-).
That was fantastic to watch, you were flushing that lil woody. Cute course with mint greens. +1 still an amazing score with clubs you haven’t used for a long time.
Loved the new caddie! We definitely need to see more of them in the future. The dog had some yawns by the end of the round, must have been a good walk for them as well!
Brilliant golfer and presenter, keep up the great work its a joy to listen to your positive attitude on the golf course
Just here for the dog(s)! Just kidding, love these kinds of videos! Would be a dream to walk the course like that with my own dog and play golf. ❤
Awesome content Iona, like so many a huge fan, you bring simple and calmness to the course, refreshing 👍👍👍
The more i watch of you , it amazes me that you never won more titles, your golf is wonderful.
As an after thought, clubs you can replace, but dogs you cannot.
Was playing with a Scottish friend here in the US and he explained over there dogs are allowed on golf courses .. If i took mine they d be running after & stealing balls all day 😂
We were all thrilled to see your clubs returned to you so soon. But, that persimmon "small block" driver (quite large back in the day) served you well. One over is a fine round without your fitted clubs. I have to say, those 460 and 470 yard par 4s seem out of place on a short course? On to the next instalment Iona! About the club versus ball debate? It seems to me the ball is the place to set a standard for elite level play, at least? Most other pro sports have a standardized ball (or pucks 🍁Canadian here). In changing the ball, golf would be more in line with what we know from them. We'll still lose golf balls regularly. The units sold per year will stay the same. 😂 Does club technology come next, and when? Golf club manufacturers have a ROI to consider that is already years into the future. Change the ball, see what effect it has. Maybe some classic courses at 6,600 or 6,800 yards will re-appear on the tour rotations?
I love this series and any content that includes you! So glad you continued even without your current clubs, also, very glad that it looks like your clubs were returned. I hope your car is ok. It's always a great day when you post a new video.
Feels great to be part of a community that gets so much joy out of golf and nature. Your dog is sooo well behaved. My pug is a little diva on the golf course. 🐶
Loved this, I’ve had the pleasure of playing with John at my Home club Clevedon! I know he’s a massive fan of vintage clubs!! You and him should have a match full vintage! 😊😊
Love your dog....I have yellow lab too. About to take him for his morning walk in the golf course. He rides with me sometimes when I play but it's been too hot here lately. But an early walk is doable. Plus he cools off in the lake. I played during the persimmon days. No desire to go back to those. Modern equipment still makes the game fun at 69 years of age.
Congrats on a fantastic golf channel, the upbeat attitude, the superb golf, the insightful explanations of your shots and course management and the excellent editing, just brilliant, you're so easy to watch and listen to, none of that up yourself irritating attitude I see from other golf channels and also, finally a golf channel my wife will enjoy and learn from, right I'm off to binge watch the rest of your uploads, awesome. 👍(So glad you got your clubs back btw, been there and that is an AWFUL feeling)
I've got to say your pup is well behaved; it's good to see
A fine effort Iona. I could watch your swing all day.
Another gem of a video!
Loving these course vlogs and great to see you got your clubs back.
Love your videos!
What to coment about, clubs stolen😢 or pets and persimmon? Wow wow wow pets and persimmon I can only imagine the joy and calmness you had.😊
Love your videos. Your dog was so well behaved and adorable. I like your idea to address the driver size vs the ball.
Love Every minute of the see blogs Thanks Iona
Refreshing! Thanks for the great content. Really enjoy the quality of guests you’ve been having on as well!
I can only imagine the carnage my two dogs would unleash on a golf course, no ball would be safe, never mind any wildlife. Love the series, keep them coming
Another great video Iona really enjoying this series. Looking forward to the next one. Glad you got your clubs back
Iona, I don't think you realise the skill you need to hit a Persimmon it took me back to my teenage days of playing....Seve would of been proud of you and that round....well played.
You could use a stick and still hit a straight shot. Such a joy to watch.
Your dog is awesome..sorry you had car \ clubs stolen ..scumbags are everywhere..keep doing what you do Iona ..love the content 👍🇬🇧⛳️
Well done, using a persimmon club. Fantastic effort. I’m a good bit older than yourself and began play fine with these types of clubs. Forgot how good they could be. 👍
Love listening to your thought process as you plot your way around the courses. Excellent, enjoyable, and relaxing content.
If you like personality with your gorgeousness then you’ve come to the right place 🏴❤️
My new favourite golf channel, great content, great golf and such an infectious personality. I’m also biased as love Labradors but not as brave as you taking my “five” on the golf course !!!!
Sad to hear about the thief's antics but glad you got your clubs back Iona. Love the dog and he's so well behaved. Keep the videos coming. We love you haha
Class content. Wish I could play half as well as you Iona. Adorable doggy. So glad you got your clubs back and looking forward to the next round.
Such a pleasure to watch your vlogs, just love your attitude and obvious enjoyment. A positive lesson for so many golfers
Great round with unfamiliar clubs, and love that you got your stolen ones back.
