My wife and I have stayed here quite often. We love the location. It’s a fairly short walk to good food in Chinatown. The MRT is available with a short walk to Clarke Quay (Northeast Line, Fort Canning (Downtown Line) or Chinatown (both the Northeast and Downtown Lines). My wife has relatives in Toa Payoh and the walk to the 143 bus stop is similar to that for Fort Canning. In the morning or evening, when it cools off, the walk to the Merlion through Clarke Quay and Boat Quay is quite nice. Rooms are pretty small, but the beds are comfortable. The morning breakfast buffet is nice, as you can get fruit and vegetables, both of which are expensive in Sing, as well as a good selection of hot dishes. The pool on the roof is narrow, but it is LOOOOOOOOONG, and is a perfect temperature. Haven’t tried the small fitness center, also on the roof. We’ll be there in about three weeks and look forward to it. The only potential downside is the fact that the building immediately across Magazine Road is undergoing renovation. Not sure what that will involve, but it might result in some noisy times and some dust if it’s to be demolished.

Thank you! Really Appreciate it! It is really nice! Yea... The nearest MRT is quite a distance away. 😂 For Singaporeans, we prefer staying near the train stations perhaps that's why even a mere 7-10 minutes walk seems far to me 😂😂

Great review guys. I was thinking of booking this Hotel for a 2 day stop over, its looks very nice and gets good reviews generally from what I have seen. What is the downside of the location? I thought it was walkable to many attractions? Thanks so much.

Thank you! Appreciate it very much! That is good, the hotel was really good! Location-wise, just a tad bit distance away from the MRT (about a 10 minutes walk to 3 different MRTs). But because Singapore is really hot, the 10 minutes sometimes feel like 20 😂😂 And if it rains, it might be a hassle since there are no shelters to the hotel (might need to take a cab or brave the rain). The immediate surrounding does not have many amenities but looking at it on a macro scale, Clarke Quay is a really great location to stay. Very near the main areas of Singapore as well. But with that in mind, comparing to other hotels that are less than 10 minutes from the nearest MRT and have great nearby amenities like a large air-con mall.

How is the hot water in the shower? Is it really hot. What about water pressure?

Hey there! Thank you for the comments! Yes there is hot water, but not too hot that it burns but just nice! As for water pressure, we cant really remember but it was not as weak. Because if it was, we would have remembered haha. So both heat & pressure is fine!
