I Got To Test Games At A New Arcade!
Ойын-сауық
I got the key to a new arcade and I get to be the first to test the new games they got in! Let's see if we can get them up and running before opening day! This arcade is at the indoor Go-Kart place Three Rivers Karting (3RK). They got their first batch of new arcade games in, many more to come. Some of the games include Power Roll, Basketball Pro, Plinko, Bean Bag Toss and others! We also play a coin pusher to see if we can win the key to unlock a major prize, or some bonus coins!

About Arcade Matt:
I make arcade videos! My passion started with the claw machine and continued to arcade ticket games. I also play games that give prizes like Stacker and Keymaster. The coin pusher is also another favorite - some I play winning quarters, others I win arcade tickets. On some games I even show hacks how to win. I also play carnival games winning big prizes! If you love anything about the arcade, subscribe for new videos every week, and let's play!

Is that kickstarter up and running?
I can only imagine how many hundreds of thousands of dollars it takes to run places like this not including maintenance on everything ........a lot of work and tons of money goes into places like this

I was a manager right under the owner of an arcade for four years, it’s ridiculous how much money goes into arcades. Not to mention doing all the work and repairs yourself to save money. Hours of manuals that didn’t make much sense lol kids destroy everything.

I have some gumball/candy machines right now. Going to try to make enough money with them to buy some snack/drink machines then maybe some claw machines and ultimately would love to make enough to start my own arcade in my hometown or nearby. We don’t have one and it sucks

Yeah, especially if you have alot of rowdy kids coming in and destroying your stuff. That's why you always have to watch and make sure people are playing correctly.

@@Celuxshow profitable is it
A few points from my areas of expertise: Bean Bag Toss - 61,000 is the D&B standard, even from when it reset overnight. There's a D&B-exclusive software update that pairs with the physical sticker update to the cabinet that the holes are 100-200-300 and streak bonus of 500 as opposed to 5,000, that makes it remember its payout through power cycles. He likely won't have access to this. That said, if I were going to this arcade, and determines that the cost of play vs. the value of prizes was done so that this is profitable, I would come in at the morning and take this thing up through 100,000-ish. If it were on 30 seconds, rather than factory default 22, I could take it through 139,000 no problem, for 16 jackpots a day - but someone who valued the prizes on offer here would need to be living close enough to make this worthwile for them in order to worry about the payout on this, really. Even if left at 51,000 as the factory default, with the 22 second timer, and 12 bags (ICE specifically tells their arcades NOT to reduce the number of bags, period), I could only put this into the low 100s, and if he's not making enough to cover one guy making 10,000 a day on one game as a hard maximum, he's got problems beyond anything I could do going nuts in that place. Basketball Pro - 180 to win and 40 seconds is the factory default, but most places (including D&B) reduce it to 30 seconds and allow the score to win to drop much lower, to as low as 96. But the places that have 180/40 often have it set that the jackpot requirement never goes ABOVE 180, making it a true infinite. I'd probably recommend mirroring D&B settings, 96 min, scales up with score/payout settings, 30 seconds. Generous enough that a skilled player could get about 3k tickets in a short run, but eventually will scale up beyond anything even a true professional could manage.) 3:50 - you know if this wasn't you testing to help this arcade owner out, I'd be yelling at you for overscoring, you full well said "189" and proceeded to go to 210. Power Roll is at a premium because there are people that just had it down perfectly, D&B lowered the payout to 250 in test, Scene 75 kept it at 500 but raised the cost to something astronomical that no skilled player saw it as worth touching compared to other games on the floor. I was only 50/50 on it at best. If arcade owners were smart, both large chains and small places, they would seek out people specifically in the AP community to pen-test their games - possibly with an agreement that while the AP would help them fine tune their settings to prevent them from hemmhoraging cash, they'd do so with the understanding that the arcade would not make all the games entirely unpalatable to the skilled player, strike a fair middle ground.

Loved the behind the scenes, up close and person with all the going on’s. It neat to see how each game can be tweaked and also check out new up and coming games and game spots.
You are a very good helper for sure helping someone fixing and testing them to make sure they are working and if they have anything wrong with it or anything.
One of my friends when he was a little kid. Got the Grand jackpot on that mountain ball game. And it was at a mini golf course. But it didn't work anymore so it didn't vend anything out. But it still took quarters and stuff but they didn't even put a sign on it. So you got to the Grand jackpot without getting a prize.

Love when you do these more behind the scenes types videos Matt! This arcade is going to be amazing! I love when arcades do LEGO as prizes, those are the best to redeem for imo :3
That was a great video. I didn’t even realize a half hour went by. The mark of an interesting video. I wanted more. This is a great channel.
I love these behind the scenes
Hey Matt when it comes to changing the pulse count on the readers I highly recommended adjusting the coin setting in the pong game settings from 4 credits down to 1 just because over time that game will need to have a new swiper/tapper put on it before any of the others because it will no longer be able to send that coin pulse signal because every time someone plays instead of it sending one pulse it’s sending four

thats exactly what needs to be done.. its like the coin channel has been by default on quarters.. u might get away just by using the Dollar coin channel.. if that is available.. if this game only have 1 channel to choice from.. then yes change the Coin to Credit back to 1 indeed, i know what i talk about as i am a Arcade Technician over here in the Netherlands.. for a big FEC arcade Chain.

If an arcade is going to be upstairs, doesn't that lose business for your claw machine and stacker downstairs ? Or do you plan on like relocating in the future? Or It might not affect it at all

I mastered gravity hill. Drained all the big prizes out of the arcade at the local mall one summer. Favorite arcade game off all time. Sadly that mall arcade is gone. If it wasn’t so expense I would own one in my home. It’s a faster flicking motion to make it past the small prize hole. You’ll definitely get it down and start winning large every time
Thank you for showing arcades around the world Matt I like people who show tours on arcade
Congratulations on making your first "Small Prize". If you owned a Gravity Hill game, you could keep putting it on a higher part to practice the top section.

@@arcade_matt oh I know what you mean. Some arcades I have been to have a snail speed card reader that seems to take forever to count all your tickets. I prefer to it being going all onto the card rather then paper tickets beacuse when you get a arcade with paper ticket have to many and you put them in the ticket counter machine and they go in there really fast. Sometimes they will get into a crumpled up mess and rip and tear.
That's cool, I've never seen behind the scenes of getting an arcade ready.

Excellent video! This was so interesting to see the behind the scenes of an arcade & the games. Fun!💯💥
Matt is living the life 😅✌️
years ago I played gravity hill frequently as I had one at my job at shoprite. I was a cart attendant and at times after work I played the game. It offered some nice piiczes. I played that game the most when the teen titan plushes were put in. When that happened, I murdered that game....Iwon the big prize back to back sometimes 3 in a row. Hell even some of my associates asked me to play and win for them some plushes. the guy that owned it hated me playing the game I won the game so much. I can't believe I murdered a game that you arcade mat have not mastered.....Well you will get there...I am no professional arcade gamer, but that was my game and won far too much and I miss those times.
Great video Matt!
This was really cool to see. Also as soon as I saw the beer pong game with the gimmicky ball dispenser, I knew it'd have something wrong with it.

Wow matt fire videos
I worked at a hotel arcade for a few years and when we didn't have guests I could play games while on the clock and I cleaned out the grand prizes from Gravity Hill every week. They ended up swapping it out with Whistle Stop and cranking the difficulty up so no one could win.
The pegs above the M, B and S are set slightly lower in relation to the other pegs. That's why it's so much more like to turn away from the slots. Surprised I never noticed that before. This was pretty cool.

27:00 I don't remember if I mentioned this in one of my previous random arcade fact, but Gravity Hills actually has different difficulty hills that you can exchange for more of a challenge. But as far as I know, I have never seen a medium or hard hill. (That hill you played / the basic one I seen everywhere is the easiest hill). Pictures are seen on the website that sells parts

May I add a recommendation? If there are plans for lighting for the upstairs arcade, might I recommend these rainbow mini light bulbs that we got at the arcade I work at. Ill edit in the item number when I get off break, but they look amazing in the old game room they have.
You’re the one who got me into getting an arcade job
How cool would it be to have a full time job going to arcades just testing these machines all day!🇬🇧👍
Some arcade video games can run with Windows, Linux or Raspberry Pi. I want to try to install one of the games on my laptop but I need TeknoParrot or JConfig. It's hard because if you don't have those, the games don't run normally. That's what I've been watching recently. Either way, I like your arcade videos. They are very entertaining and it makes me learn how to play the games whenever I go to another country.
Thank you for bringing back the Family Guy references 😂
