I GOT TO PLAY RENNSPORT!!! (First thoughts and impressions)

DISCLAIMER Im in no way a professional driver/racing profressional, so take what i saw with a grain of salt i could also have the incorrect settings on my actual wheel control panel but from what ive experienced, the only issues i had with the game were lack of FFB, and the cars steering not feeling correct/feeling like in order to get grip on exit or a consistent corner i needed to chuck the car a little bit into a corner.

i have the rennsport alpha since half a year or more and tbh i just check in after a big patch to see how it feels but it still feels really bad for me, its so heavy in development still cant say a lot about physics but ffb is really dogshit no matter what i tweak. and tbh it does not look THAT great even though i can max it out, visuals are also still rough (but i can see the potential there of course). in my opinion: people should not want to get a key for this because i promise they will but it aside after 1h at best.

well, I got the key 2 days ago and It’s fun for me. Don’t get me wrong ffb needs some polishing but it’s not that bad, it just feels different than in ACC. The grip while racing the straights is weird for me but It works.

@@xMoondiewhat i mean to say is this: i play many different sims: ac, acc, iracing, ams2, rf2 and i play all of them because each one has parts that are better than in others. But Rennsport is for me in no area better than any of the other sims, and thats why i can't spend time with it, because i can not find anything in its current state that would make me go "oh, thats really cool, this is better than in the others"

One thing for me is the FFB, if it wasn't for the lack of strength for it I would 1000% play it more. To me also after having hundreds of hours on Iracing, AC F1, and many other racing titles the driving also feels a little weird (could just be because of the lack of FFB despite having Rennsport recommended settings for my wheel) I feel the cars slide alot and aren't as planted to the ground as they are in other games. But all in all nice game but I with other games I already have spent time on I wouldn't go out of my way to play Rennsport as much as the other titles in my library right now
