I figured something like that was probably wrong with your vocal cords. I kept losing my voice/had a raspy voice and I ended up having vocal nodules but through 10 weeks of speech therapy got rid of them so I didn't have to have the surgery and I learned how to speak properly without developing them again. My voice now sounds completely different to the one I grew up with, it's kinda strange getting a totally new voice! hahaha I hope you figure out exact what's wrong and can make a fast recovery too!
