I GOT RID OF IT ALL I Decluttering my life, selling home & finding freedom
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Decluttering my life and space. Letting go isn't just about clearing out physical items - it's about making room for growth, self-discovery, and new beginnings. Every end is emotional, but it's time to rewrite my story and I want to encourage you to create NOW that is aligned with your current needs, values and dreams.
Much love
Karin 💛

I decluttered 90% after 25 years of an abusive marriage and a divorce (with three children). It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, but so freeing and truly helped me start a new chapter. Life is good 8 years later!

Thank you for sharing your story, I appreciate this a lot. Sorry to hear but happy that you’re in a happy place now! 🥰❤️ Decluttering is truly freeing and I try to keep things simple and less stuff in my house, that makes life much enjoyable. 🥰🌸☀️
Your video somehow teared me up. There’s something bittersweet of letting go of the past and stepping into unknown. It’s always a little bit scary and shaky, yet I really believe that by releasing the past, we make room for the future ❤. Such an honest and beautiful video, thank you for sharing. I’m really excited about your new chapter 🫶🏼.

Thank you 🥰 I also believe that we have to let go of some “stuff” to make room for the new one. And the more you leave behind the more new opportunities will come. 🥰🌿 And once you let go…you realize why you didn’t do it earlier.😆
Letting go is a lifelong process if we continue to grow and change. I finally found my forever home at when I was 69. It is 10yrs later and I am still happy here, but still letting go as I change and find myself able to let go of things or people that I was not able to before.

So happy to hear that this video gave you something you needed! 🥰 This process is always a long one, important is not to stop because it´s a process of unlocking our potential. 🥰
At 76 I have done this quite a lot of times. It is freeing and let’s you make room for new hobbies and ideas to try. Life is full of uncertainties and changes but this is all part of life. Thank you for your video, it was very honest, some tears and some smiles.❤

Thank you! And thank you for inspiring! Absolutely, it makes room for dreams and goals and ...that you have always wanted to try. 🥰
so beautiful! I can resonate with what you are experiencing here- I have changed course so many times in my life (currently 65 and another major upheaval and change happened 2 years ago). When I would make these changes when I was younger, I got a lot of negative responses from my family- they labeled me as picky, selfish, unable to sustain a job for a long period, unable to "settle down" and many more things. What they never got, and still haven't is that I was seeking not settling. I was letting my soul guide the way. Now I realize that so many are so stuck in fear that they can't try new things, so their fear becomes criticism and labeling their love ones as "broken" or "different" and that's their load to bare, not mine. Thank you so much for sharing this! Makes me feel good to know other people are brave like me. ✨

Oh! Such a beautiful story, thank you for sharing this! It really inspired me! ❤️ I truly support your vision - we are seeking not settling. Quite often I wonder what else is there?🤩 Living in a comfort zone is good, but when we don’t step out of it we will never grow. We are missing so much when stuck in so-called “standards”. I also have always believed that quitting, starting over, or letting go is not a sign of weakness, it’s being brave! 💪🏻🙌🏻🥰 Let our passion and curiosity be our compass. ☺️

Amen sometimes being brave means standing alone ....but you are not alone god is always there many blessings to everyone
I always felt if I got rid of something someone gifted me I was throwing part of them away ! I held onto so much for that very reason . Wasn't until the height of covid I went thru closets I gathered 13 ,33 gallon bags of clothes . I worked in pharmacy for 27 years had so many many dress cloths had 51 blazers how awful to have that many ,shoes, coats, jackets dresses ,sweaters ,blouses, skirts etc etc some with tags still on.I called the Mission House, the director came to my porch we were masked up & I helped her carry all that in her truck. She looked at me thru tears & said ,"you are going to cloth a lot of people '. That was better than the money I could have gotten for the clothing . ( at the Mission House people get the clothes for free) That very day I gathered household items up. After stores opened up I went to a second hand store in a small community & donated my items,I chose that one ,because all the money made was then given to the community house for the children for camping trips, parties , games etc etc. Many people pass thru this small community to get to a major State Park with 21 waterfalls in the area. I no longer hang on to 'THINGS " I am FREE ! Have a lovely day !

Sometimes it not the FEAR of what lies ahead or what we’re leaving behind that keeps us stuck…..it’s the fear of facing our regret for not having done it sooner.

I know the feeling all too well, in the past 11 years I have moved 7 times and it never gets easier but like you, I have decluttered and am moving on. Wishin you the best of luck on your new adventures.

It is an emotional process, but like they say that it’s always hard to get out of your comfort zone and when moving it’s kind of the same, you step out of your shell (home). When packing I tried to keep the practical mind but also wanted to let go of as many things as possible and some “let go” moments were a bit harder.
I’m in this process right now…declutterring, preparing my home for sale, deciding where I will go next….at 65 yo. It’s a lot of work right now, but I know I will open space, inside and out, for something so much better to come.

I feel you so much! Like you said - this will open a space for something much better and I can´t agree more. For me it´s not so much about the material things, more about decluttering my mind and feeling the freedom! It feels so good! 🙌
I am very lucky to have these decluttering videos to watch before my husband, my two-year-old daughter, and I transferred to our forever home. Watching these videos helped us transition to the new chapter of our life. Decluttering and letting go were not as painful as they would have been had I not learned from people who experienced them before me. I am very grateful to all the people who shared their lives and somehow showed us the way. From Mindanao, Philippines, daghang salamat sa inyo!

Hi!❤️ I agree, somehow videos where people share their stories or processes of something help and show that we are not alone in this. Long before selling my home, I watched videos about minimalism, and that reassured me that there is no regret after letting go of things.☺️🙏 Thank you for sharing your story! ❤️ Btw, I have been lucky enough to visit the Philippines and I really loved there, you people are so kind and amazing there! ❤️☀️🌸

You know, I started small, every month I went through a small part of something, one drawer, a pile of t-shirts, cosmetics, etc. It took me half a year… 😅I feel that this helped a lot (gave a good presentation). In my case moving was a very good motivation to declutter because I simply couldn’t (and didn’t want to) take everything with me. But once you start you can’t stop 😆 even after moving I got rid of more clothes and planning to go through once again my sweaters and keep only 2-3. Wishing you a beautiful week! 🥰

Hi! All I left behind was my old self and stuff. My family and I moved together. I would never leave them. 😉🥰 But decluttering physically and mentally is a choice, at least it was for me, I (and my family) outgrew from my past self and life in general and just needed a “new start” to start creating life that is aligned with my current self, needs and values. It was a longer process, took me about 1-2 years to get rid of all the unnecessary activities, relationships and things that didn’t bring any value. This process of simplifying has been emotional but so worth the effort, I don’t regret anything! I feel very free. ☺️

It is tough. I started to declutter about a year before moving. Once in a while I went through drawers, kitchen cabinets, clothes, etc and if I found from there stuff that I’m not using I let go of it - gave away or sold. Hi! All, good, we all have those drawers full of paper/plastic bags. I decluttered a whole year - once in a while I went through a drawer, one section of clothing, another drawer, kitchen cabinet, etc. Every time I removed items that I didn’t need - sold, donated or gave away. I went through all the places several times until there was nothing to remove anymore. And the more I got rid of the stuff the more easy it became. 😉 I have zero regrets, I feel very free. 🥰🌼 You can do it!
