My GB was 93% gangrenous at admission to emergency surgery, was told in the next 5-7 days I wouldn't have survived, I dialed 911 myself due to the excruciating pain, saved my life. I have to monitor my pancreas every 3 months, it's been rough but I'm alive, 🙏 good health to you.

My gallbladder was removed December 16th 2020 and I still have a tiny bit of pain in one spot after a month. Being 65, I can't bounce back as fast as you kids but I am glad mine is gone too. I am back to eating whatever I want and I have not had any problems with doing that. Glad you made it through all right.

Thanks so much for posting this, girl! Very informative. I'm actually getting surgery soon, too. I am wondering if you could explain more about what it was like to get put to sleep? This is the part that freaks me out!! Like, what does it feel like? How do they do it? What does it feel like when they put the stuff in, like do you get sleepy or is more like wide awake to instantly out? Could you have stayed awake if you would have tried or is it impossible? Haha. Basically whatever you remember about that part would be helpful. Thanks so much!

Gallbladder pain is the worst thing ever. I had an 8 hour attack 3 days ago and throwing up bile because I really didn't eat anything that could trigger it. Usually apple juice with apple cider vinegar will help with the pain if anyone is going through this and can't get to the doctor right away. I usually juice my apples and add acv to it but it does take the pain away and you can drink the apple juice regularly to keep the pain down

Maybe you have been eating something that is not advisable after the surgery. Like fats, caffeine, oily foods of some sort. It will trigger unwanted side effects especially that the body is still recovering.

@@jprdollies9118 yes eating everything and anything again. I’ll be honest. It took me about a year to get better. Whew lord. I was living off of coca cola because everything made me so sick. Im sorry. Hope it gets better. Ice cream was the first food and then introduced all fatty foods. Never had issues since then. You may recover faster. My gallbladder was a mess and im sure caused a whole bunch of things to go wrong. Mine was actually deformed since I was a baby. Never fell down the liver during gestation as a baby, gallbladder was intact piercing through my liver. Explained all my stomach issues as a kid. Gastros were complete dumbasses. If it wasnt for this surgeon of mine to do exploratory surgery, I may have still been sick even dead. Just so grateful I never developed BAM which is constant diarrhea as a result of bile constantly dripping. That scared me so much

Hi I just had emergency surgery to have mine out. I have a lot of other health issues so I can’t really isolate symptoms for the gallbladder as it was quite a surprise. I actually am a vegan who eats really clean and healthy. You don’t have to have a bad diet to need it out. That’s actually part of the reason I don’t think I had any warning symptoms is because I don’t eat fatty fried food. Best of luck

TMI but looking for answers. I'm 13 days post op. Did you have any issues with diarrhea? I'm praying it goes away. Taking Metamucil and that seems to help some. Just normalcy back.
