Congratulations on the watch, but it's insane that you have to convince AP that you deserve the watch. It's an AP, not a Bugatti.

That is the most ridiculous criteria for buying something I've ever heard in my entire life. They seriously check to see if you're an "interesting person" with hobbies that "fit" with the brand? And they seriously check where you work and that your career is "successful enough" for them? AND you have to wait months/years while schmoozing them the entire time??? All this for the supposed "honor" of spending your own money on their product??? Screw it, I'll just buy a fake.

A stunner! You make a good point about the bracelet not having a extension link. Many will tell you a Royal Oak bracelet is impossible to size perfectly with the absence of a extension link. Regardless; wear it in good health.

So awesome, one of my favorite brands, but I really dislike the new way of trying to purchase a watch writing a letter etc...

Not an AP fan but the smaller size seems to fit perfect. I would never do what you suggested about showing the brand who you are what you do. It is just a watch and there are many better watches on the market. Also now you can buy these on grey market without all the fuss for close to 39$k. With market collapse all the nonsense of ADs will change. Can already see it with Rolex ADs who are now calling with watches to sell. 😂

Nico congratulations I believe AP will soon announce a Dubai AP house boutique similar to London. I have the 15400OR on the leather strap & am waiting for a 41mm steel chronograph but as you said patience is a virtue. I recently visited AP Boutique while in Abu Dhabi ( The Galleria Mall) & tried on the dark green face & they had quite a few models to try on ( nothing to purchase😂) if you are that way anytime.

9:00 I always set the watch hands below 3 and 9 markers to prevent potential damage to the date mechanism when changing the date. Automatic watches regardless of the quality can be very delicate especially when it comes to handling the crown/winder.

It’s a pity that they covered the caseback! Even though it’s an FP movement it would still be nice to see it. Perfect dimensions on this one.

Wow that is a dream watch. I truly love to see a mechanical chrono in a 38mm case and 10 mm thickness. I really wish the more affordable watch brands would go back to producing the smaller cased mechanical chronos like this, because most of all of them are 40-44 mm with 15 mil thickness, and that’s just way too large.

Congratulations Niko. Amazing watch. Unfortunately my experience with AP is disappointing. My local AD doesn’t get AP anymore and the online contact with Paris Boutique is very negative. I guess you have to live near the few AP boutiques to have a chance to purchase their watches. I will have to stick with Rolex and Patek.

Congratulations on your purchase. However, I am not a fan of AP. Beside the Royal Oak line, what does AP have? To me, AP is overrated.

Enjoy the new watch . A bit underwhelming. When I see it against a Pepsi I wouldn’t pay more for this . I think the color is not doing it a favour. I think an aquanaut pushes it out ouf the park completely if you can find it of course retail.

You are NOT getting an Aquanaut at retail unless you're a special client worthy enough to pull the trigger at that price. You'd have better chance at grey, but you sure as hell ain't getting retail for that Patek.

Not a fan of this colour way on the watch but if it gets you to get closer to other models you want by all means it’s a beauty !
