I was in Interlaken 3 years ago. Also Zermat. I can’t wait to go back! My AD called my wife at Christmas to surprise me. It was a stainless Daytona! Needless to say Christmas was awesome. I enjoyed the video.

Love this inspirational story. Had an opportunity to buy an OP 10 years ago when you could just stroll into an AD and make a purchase. Didn’t think it popped on my wrist so didn’t purchase it. Needless to say, one of my biggest regrets but very happy for you 😊

Very nice watch. I have a similar story. I was on Vacation with my family in a small pacific island last November. An escape from the Minnesota winter. We went to dinner at a large outdoor shopping center, across was a Rolex AD. I went in with my son to look at Tudors. I had no hopes of finding a Rolex. My wife and daughter joined us after a bit. We were approached by a very nice salesperson. She showed me some really overpriced secondhand Rolexes. I was not interested. She then mentioned they would get some new stock by Friday; she did not know what was coming in. We were flying back on Saturday. She offered to call me back. I gave my number as I have with multiple AD's, more of a formality, never expecting to hear back from her. Surprisingly, I did. Went back on Friday and she presented me with a new 41 mm DJ, fluted bezel mint green dial. It looked great. I enjoy the watch and have received many compliments on it. You just never know when luck will strike.

That is a beautiful watch. At 5:20 I noticed the crown is not screwed in, I would recommend you do that because moisture can enter the watch, even moisture from the air.

Oh wow you got a DJ in black dial?? I don't ever see it on display in Singapore. I got my OP 41mm in Paris 3 weeks ago! It was my first day in Paris and got lucky on my 3rd boutique and was offered an OP for purchase. I'm so glad I made the purchase because after that during my trip I was not offered anymore in Paris nor London.

Nice pick up. I was offered a Datejust from the exhibition only watches display recently at an AD. I'd asked to try it on because it was a white roman dial though the wrong size for me. I'm not known to this shop. I turned it down and asked if they would take my order for the model I wanted but was refused. A strange occurrence given recent availability but it may be a sign of the times ahead.

@@oaktree1628 I have no idea why this happened except that the shop in question had a lot of exhibition only watches (at least twenty) on show. Maybe they need to shift some stock on occasion. I visit this city irregularly so I will try again If I go back.

They had one without diamonds around Xmas. I passed on it. They had another on Xmas eve stainless white gold I ended up buying instead.

Was offered a Sea Dweller, turned it down in hopes of getting a James Cameron. Won't make that mistake ever again! AD I have a relation with says he is fine with my choice but we shall see! If offered I would never refuse again!

Cool video but honestly, I would just prefer to wait so I can buy what I want, or go grey. These small diamond filled DJs are very meh. The brand has many many better options for us customers. If they don't have in stock, I would just wait. It is such an expensive watch (in my country it costs several years of minimal wage...) that I would only buy my dream ones.

I made an observation, there were only Asians in the line, you're right, it's not about race, it's just what I see everywhere even in Zurich and Geneva. If everyone in the line was wearing top-hats, I would have said 'everyone in the line was wearing a top-hat' I don't think there's anything wrong in life with making generalisations. Cause only asians know asians. Before get slammed for it. I can also say that because I am one. Also, Asians who travel are almost likely to have bigger budgets than the average traveller. Consider just the fact they're paying more to travel to western countries since the flight is longer. So he knew well that that guy could snatch the watch.
