I Got INVITED To Annecy Animation Festival!!?

Фильм және анимация

Something crazy happened to me and it set me off down a path of personal growth!!! Something as simple as being invited to Annecy Animation Festival by Moho, helped me overcome my fear of not only flying, but public transport!!!! This is a another talky video about my experiences at Annecy in the MIFA part of the biggest animation festival in the world! I was invited by Moho Animation Software to show off their programme to anyone who wanted to see it. I had to have 6 sessions of clinical hypnotherapy to get me there!!!! I wanted to go so badly! I never expected to be invited to Annecy, I am so grateful to ‪@mohoanimation‬ for the opportunity ❤️❤️❤️
The webinar I talk about in the video can be found here: • Webinar - Building cha...

Lol, the sexy wolf 😹Such a great story and experience! I'm currently learning Moho and loving it! (coming from Adobe Animate) ... right now, I'm struggling with why the wind dynamics are so strong on my cat ears! And, just in general, what the best practices are for advanced-rigging a stroked character! I still have a lot to learn so I'm def. going to be watching your next tutorial! 💓

When you apply any effect to a bone, if you are also applying that effect to the Parent bone, then the second bone will be seemingly twice as strong as you expect. Remember, wind will not affect the skull, just the ears. I used this effect to simulate a long web for our spider character, which makes him bob in the wind just like a long web would. I added multiple Pin bones with free hanging bones, and then strung the web to them in a zig zag pattern allowing me the effect of a web twenty times the length of the character without having to actually pin that long a web above the character. So, the web is still long, but using multiple bones, each one exaggerating the next I was able to keep the top point of the web close to my character, so I don't have a super tall Layer just for the web effect. Lot of work, but the effect was perfect.

dude you crushed it for real! I was cheering throughout this whole vid!! the double whammy of slaying the travel part and then being the bestest networker/ moho demo-er made my freakin' day. you definitely did Annecy right. I hate networking too, it's just not natural to me, but being someone who has the knowledge and then companies seeking YOU out to learn, and then networking around that.... absolute god tier move. i used to deal with a lot of travel anxiety (trains, buses, planes, cars...you name it, the feeling of not being able to escape) so i just really relate and am so proud of the courage u mustered to go to hypnotherapy and make a plan!!! just... damn, YOU CRUSHED IT!!! WELL DONE!!!

Nice one Dani, looks AMAAAZIING, well done, and well deserved! I am now DEEPLY in love with Moho, I’ve FINALLY got my head round the styles / paths / shapes thing (thanks Joel Mayer!)… I drew some deloreans (I uploaded a KZread short!), all was well. So far I’ve only done kind of janky cutout stuff, next step is to go ‘Full-Paredes”; rig up a drawing that hasn’t already been designed for animation… I did it a while back in AE ‘William the conker’ sketch and it was a CHORE… with moho I reckon easy peasy! It really is very exciting, the power being put back into the independent artists hands. All the best, more vids please!

If you want to see an EXTREMELY complex character rigging, I recently put out four videos, starting with no bones to complete control to the point where one Moho puppet, can produce 485 undecillion individual characters.

You probably don't remember me but we spoke briefly at the moho booth and I just wanted to thank you for being so informative and showing me some puffin rock rigs. I was having some of the biggest anxiety I've ever had about networking for the first time but meeting you and lots of other amazing people at mifa really helped calm me and gave me a little confidence boost. I'm currently on a demo licence for moho 14 after seeing your demonstration I'm trying to build my first moho character rig! I'll make sure to drop a comment if I think of a good moho question to ask c:

We are using Moho on laptops that simply do not have the power we need. We are a charity and have been learning Moho for three years. Can you tell me the BEST rig for doing Moho? I am currently compiling a two minute video 4K high def, with a large background and 10 COMPLEX characters. The export animation has been running now for 15 hours, and looks like it will be 15 more. So, what would be our best computer system to get the fastest performance from Moho? Moho Techs avoided answering this question.
