    sounds like no brainer to flip 3 times.. but each time is a huge outlay. All it takes is one wrong purchase, u are stuck with a stagnant investment. Not to mention the interest, agent and lawyer fee you need to pay.. what happen in the last few years was covid and under supply, not gonna happen in the near future and it will be foolish to think property will shoot up like that again.

    @@YokNg covid has 3 factors, under supply, surge of demand when reopen and construction delay. Sure, assume the condition is right in the next 3 years, but u need to flip 3 to 5 times, maybe over 15 years. All it takes is 1 poor investment and u lose yr kidney or yr head

    @gabrielchan4420 singstat and white paper also shows demand will increase as we bring in 500k foreigners before 2030. Only thing gone is construction delay. We will not see explosive growth which is good. Otherwise there will be a bubble. Going forward it's all steady growth

    If you are lower income say making 2k to 3k... getting BTO profit of say on the low end of 200k... thats about 5 to 7 year worth of income per flip. These people aren't looking to be rich they just want enough to retire and not burden their children.. its probably good enough.

    @@findingaether BTO probably can flip, but with the restriction, you can only buy once and you also need a spouse with a similar mindset. You sell BTO, u also need to buy a new home at the prevailing fair market price. I think when we talk about flipping house for investment purpose.

    This strategy assumes all new launches make money, which is not the case. On the flip side, all BTOs make money

    This is really very hypothtical..it is NOT guranteed..any wrong move, u may be stuck with the condo or sell at a loss

    This is done with the biggest assumption that the buyer has the earning power to afford a condo as their first property while making the comparison of BTO vs Condo. Most BTO applicants are late twenties early 30s where they just started out their career with a 3 to 5k/mth salary, so in terms of affordability maybe only BTO suits/HDB is the only option. Would encourage anyone reading this that if you can afford please go ahead and take the leap of faith to get private property, you are not getting any younger bank loan maybe cannot loan so much to leverage already hahaha.

    Property agent will always be biase. Bto is the safest investment thats all. If u want to sell ofcourse u will have some cash proceeds. Theres alot of condos that is unprofitable and lost money. The keyword u want is to keep ur money safe and not to speculate like 200k x 3. U never factor the maintainence cost and other cost meh? Why would they want to promote u to buy bto when they get no commision from it?
