After watching this video, i was pretty curious. I did this with jump boost 2 and speed 2 ON PIGS. 10 generations. I made a flat terrain enclosed in fence and when I did not hold the carrot and stick, it would just go any literal where. With speed 2 splash, 11th gen, and carrot fed from stick: the pig moved like 2000 blocks in 1-3 seconds

Players: Oh a bug. Mojang: Not a bug, we call it genetics (Credits to default 2000 for idea)

To speed up the process (no pun intended) you can use a command to apply speed (for example, speed 10, but you could also do up to speed 255) to two horses and then breed them to create a horse that’s incredibly fast, which would normally take a lot of generations of horses to get to.

This makes me want to optimize all of my creatures: Strength for Wolves Slowness for livestock, making them easier to cull Invisibility for Cats, just for fun....

100 blocks in 4:41 is about 24 blocks per second. (For context, vanilla unglitched horses can run from 4.74 - 14.25 bps, with an average of ~9 bps.) So a sizable increase, but not stupid fast. 24 bps is 86.4 km/h, or 53.6 mph. In real life, the maximum speed of a fast horse is about 88 km/h (55 mph), and the average horse gallops about 40-50 km/h (25-30 mph). So Mysticat has a pretty true-to-real-life racehorse here on his hands.

You can do that with jump potions as well, though you might have to be careful, 'cause that's a lot of work to lose if you jump so high it kills the horse on landing. Maybe make a giant slime block trampoline?

Btw if your doing this on creative mode, use the command to give all entities max speed (245 or 255 speed I think) and then breed them and repeat to make it extremely fast

You can actually give horses insanely high speed effects with commands and this of course still works after breeding them. I’ve tried this out and made a horse so fast it crashes your game upon running a long distance.

This just made bedrock a little better in my opinion…

love how on top of breeding for speed, you have inadvertently selectively bred the American Paint Horse variety of horse skin.

Bdubs: breeds tonnes horses to get the fastest possible horse using science and facts. Mystical: uses speed potions. Bdubs: am I a joke to you?

I found this out like a few weeks ago, currently on gen 20 of my genetically modified horses. Planning to get to 100 Update 1: I havent started breeding them yet because reasons but I have 4 double chests of speed 2 and 4 stacks of golden apples to breed them. Update 2: I'm currently on gen 50 there's definatly a large speed increase from Gen 20 to 50 but it looks like the it's slowly decreasing per generation, If you have an explanation or way to fix this please leave it in the replies. Update 3: Currently on gen 60, averaging 54b/s, I decided I'm going to take it further than Gen 100 and will attempt to see if there's an upper limit to a horse's speed. Also, I'm taking another small break from playing minecraft; next update will take a while. Update 4: I reached Gen 150 and let me tell you.. horses simply shouldn't be this fast, there is no upper limit. It just keeps getting faster

It's possible. I've done it a few months ago. It took me many, many hours of grinding, in creative mode. It's on bedrock though, not java.

@@jirachijannik On Java you don't need to grind as there is a command you can use to spawn one, but on bedrock there isn't. A quick google search will probably give the result. But to answer your question, I'm not sure. I don't know much about the more technical side of minecraft, and about exporting maps.

Ok i tried this on Java edition in the latest update and made some test, the 4rth generation was faster than generation 0 by 2 whole seconds, Bear in mind that i'm using speed 1 throwing potions cause i was doing this on survival, so i'm guessing that if i where to use speed 2 they would be way faster, also i'm selling them to my friends for enchanted apples

Can you do the same with jump boost to affect the horse jump stats? Also, the reason you probably didn't see super fast horses is the way that breeding horses in Minecraft works. Essentially it takes your two horses, and averages their stats with a third randomly generated horses stats.

I thought of iron golems with strength and speed and remembered that you cant breed them.

- sees pig - "Oh we got the rare horse."

To fix the jump, try breeding with jump boost potions Then breed jump boost with speed horses.

They need to add this to Java 😂 It would balance the late game flying with horses

As an ex-modder Java’s speed stat is different from potions, at least it was in 1.4, the last update I made mods for, someone tell me if it’s still the same

Fun fact: If you use commands to give the horses speed 255 and breed them it still works and the offspring has a ridiculously fast base speed

Think about it, you could make the legendary horse by adding a bunch of potions and breeding the horses.

I did this in my friends survival realm and got everyone chernobyl horses and now we cant use normal horses anymore, especially since i made paths for the horses, i think it might be faster than going through the nether for some places

Just take your horse to the nether and build a highway there. 7000~~ blocks per minute that would be broken

@@shpatipp all of my deaths except one of them are cause of the nether (the other one is cause I thought I closed Mc but I didn't and I got shot and all of my stuff despawned)

I wonder if Strength and Jump Boost work the same way, directly affecting the base stats? Future video: Breed a horse that can jump into the stratosphere and a dog that can one shot the ender dragon.

god, I am kinda disappointed I didn't know about this sooner. Towards the beginning of this year I played on a Bedrock server with a handful of my friends, and I had a horse shop set up near my base that had horses for sale, and they were basically just decently fast horses with a good jump height and HP, but if I knew about this I could've made some big stonks off of lightning quick horses sadly some asshole on the server griefed a good chunk of builds where my base was at, and because of this the horse shop got blown up and the horses that were in it were presumed dead. Worst part is that I don't even know who was behind the base griefings, I tried my best to find out who did it but I just quit playing on the server before ever finding out who did it

You can do this with other effects too jump boost and heath boost would be the most useful though hb needs commands

love this-it sounds like clickbait but you’re actually so knowledgeable.

this isn't how it should work, but i think they should keep it. they turn this into a feature. this is like the best reason to breed animals for something other than a farm that we have. hell, even for farms. if you could breed an animal under specific potion effects to, say, give a greater leather amount or something (tied to a stat maybe?), you wouldn't need to make as many mobs but you'd still have to put in some effort and resources to do it. with a cap, of course.
