@RichardCranium321
Жыл бұрын
I'm a professional food taster.... Been tasting food nearly every day of my life! Lol
Speaking of MSG, I recently learned that food that use MSG sometimes also contain Disodium Inosinate and Disodium Guanylate to enhance the effect of MSG much stronger (for example, Doritos, Pringles, KFC, etc). I'm not sure what exact ratio/blend of MSG, DSI, and DSG is needed, but from what I’ve seen, some people buy a 50/50 premix of DSI and DSG, and then make a custom mix of 75% MSG and 25% DSI/DSG to make an “enhanced MSG mix”. There are also some threads on Reddit about this. I was thinking the experiment could be this: 1. Steak + Salt Pepper Garlic (control) 2. Steak + SPG + MSG 3. Steak + SPG + MSG + DSI/DSG Anyways, I hope you give it a shot!

If you have watched Uncle Roger for very long, you certainly do realize that he knows his way around a kitchen. He must have had some professional training, or maybe grew up in a family kitchen in Malaysia (one that was professional). Or he has someone of his staff that can feed him the technical points he uses in many of his videos. Having worked in F&B in S Fla for some establishments with very high standards, I love Guga for his excitement and his experiments. He definitely knows his stuff! He reminds me of many of the people I used to work with in the tri-counties. (George from Deerfield Beach - wherever you are today...) Guga makes me miss S Fla really bad.

11:41 EMOTIONAL DAMAGE
The second one is better because when you brine with msg it's reabsorbed into the meat itself while deep frying with msg oil doesn't penetrate the meat as much.
Gotta love these guys. Leo, Guga and Uncle Roger together made this video all the more entertaining. Keep doing what you do you guys. Can only get better 👍🏾
2:42 That's correct! Use the right amount, not the white amount~
Uncle Guga need to make EGG STEAK FRIED RICE with MSG.
My god this was hilarious 🤣🤣 that was my favorite “who dat guy?”… “Who is he?”
11:07 I was thinking the same 🤣😂 uncle roger on point💯😂
What a dream collab! Both parties treated each other with respect, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Going to try that mashed potato recipe asap!
12:02 This was so absurdly good that our human minds and taste buds cannot comprehend its flavor and it must be eaten by a higher life form
mouth-watering, great temp on all, way to go!
The crossover we didn't know we needed. Big fan of you both 👍🏾
Leo is the guy who is always at the right place at the right time.
Everyone loves uncle roger, i mean look at him, a genuine, funny being
When he says it’s time to cook some beautiful steak, he really means it 👌
I agree with U.R, Leon is top notch on his descriptions! His descriptions feel like I can taste the food myself! I love this channel and love what you guys do. Thank you for the great content and the positive attitudes. 🎉
Gugs, Hi! What would you think about doing a complete episode on different types of charcoal and how to grill the perfect steak with different types of charcoal?? Are there different types of natural charcoal that impart different flavors??
