i know what u mean but the shag naturally shapes the face cuz of the cascading layers. maybe find pics of people with ur face shape that have this hairstyle? but anything u do, confidence is key so as long as ur happy with it u'll rock it!

for my round face children (that sounded better in my head), YES THE HAIRSTYLE LOOKS AMAZING W IT. i took the leap of faith and cut my own shag and ended up cutting it slightly shorter than what i wanted but went with it and ended up with an above-the-shoulder shag. I curled my hair and had some of the strands curl towards my face to frame it in a way. very happy with the results, can take some time to get used to if you're not used to exposing your whole face without hair in the way but you're beautiful no matter what so keep quiet, grab your scissors, and just do it.

@@julianawazowski7363 i asked for a modern shag with curtain bangs and soft layers around my face. Also, ask your stylist to use texturizing shears to make your bangs and layers softer and not choppy looking.

Your confidence made me confident and I didn’t wanna do this haircut but now I do

it depends on how short u cut it but i’d say for short hair, straighteners r easier to curl with. and i don’t rly have any brands to recommend bc both my straightener and curling iron r super cheap random ones that don’t rly have a brand name...but there’s a lot of those recommendations videos u could find! btw i cut mine again a few days ago and im gonna film how to style it with a straightener this time so u can keep an eye out for that ;) and thank youu!
