It does make we wonder... DATSUN (The car in MSC is a DATSUN 100A) is secretly Nissan, whereas this car was Merely imported to the USA by Bricklin of Subaru/FIAT. So while there's no _formal_ link, I would guess that the Yugo borrowed the look from the 100A, if only because the 100A was fairly popular, and it came 10 years before the Yugo. Still, that's a damn strong look alike, especially when you consider how close to the 100A in MSC it looks at the end.

back around 1982 i was working on the bodies of bricklins , fixing the cracks for a friend , he made a electrical air lift system for the doors . his name was tim begley . he moved to maryland and i lost touch with him when he moved . he also made some custom parts like kick plates and othe accessories . those cars are very safe and very impact resistant bumpers .

Ahhh sooo cool. Tavarish, from all people I can think of, you give this car to the best one. You good man. I enjoyed the Trabant series and am looking forward to see what Aging Wheels has in store. Awesome. My dad had this one (actually the 5-door version and it was called Zastava) and it was technically my first car... and all you showed brought back full of memories from the shifter badly attached, the rear brakes looking new all the time ‘cause never worked, to the shot sway bar bushings. I fixed all these on it and when we sold it it was better than new. I dreamed of that car having more power and sounding so good, thanks for making that dream reality.

Used to own a Fiat 128 4door 1.3L in the 90s and despite the bad things about it, I went everywhere with it, family trips, fishing expeditions, camping... Never broke down completely as it was easy to service (and repair) and gave me plenty of memories, more then any other vehicle I've owned since then. Had to write it off in the late 90s, due to emissions regulations.
