A lot of really good things were said here, honestly. Think you might end up causing a domino effect from this, since you helped put into perspective that KR students already have what they need to succeed abroad, they just need to be able to take that first step. You also gave the atmosphere that someone going abroad can just kinda wing it with little support and still thrive, as long as you have that conviction and confidence to learn. The honesty and ability to be frank about your nerves really went a long way, Dave. Good on you~.

Dave, I think you did amazingly! I feel like it is a rare case to have a person speak honestly about their experiences and connect to a crowd, especially to a younger one. I hope the students were invested, but I bet that out of a crowd of 50 or 60 people, you'll definitely reach 10-20 and make a definite impact. I could listen to your "lecture" and advice all day.

I'm moving to Korea soon because I'll be going to college there. So I'll be there for 5 years, just studying. Maybe even longer than 5 years, if I like it! I don't know yet. But people like Dave inspire me. Living abroad is not easy, but sometimes sacrifices are necessary to reach your goals

한국 오기전에 한국어능력을 갖추고 한국어능력시험을 치뤄서 자격이된다면 유학비자로도 카페,식당 이런곳에 파트타임으로 알바를 하면 한국친구를 금방 사귈수있을꺼에요~~~ 그리고 돈을 벌면서 대학생활해야지 한국을 더 ~ 즐길수있는 꿀팁입니다 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I was surprised that you had such a high volume of Koreans in your hometown & korean-americans living in Australia! I think you had an awesome presenting style. 😄 100% how you present points in your vids, just without the edits in real time ofc, and I thought it sounded comfortable. And also, people being engaged enough to ask a bunch of questions that ran your time over. 🙌 I hope they got some time afterwards to do follow-up questions, all your tips were so important and they got a really unique perspective with your story and KZread blowing up like it did. Lots of foreigners in Busan and Ulsan🤣 Also, I think it's partly the fact that the Korean government doesnt do enough to promote other regions. Additionally, Korea is not very travel friendly for tourists. When I went to Andong for example there was no signs for tourists in English outside the KTX station about how to goto the folk village. Not even any tourist infomation box. Really pathetic for one of Korea's main attractions. Maybe for Koreans it's ok to find the way but foreign tourists, totally inadequate. it is the same for many other places too, even Seorakan, Gangreung...not foreigner friendly

I'm speaking about tourists visiting briefly, I'm speaking about people who choose to live in Korea and set up lives yet refuse to learn the language and then complain nobody speaks English 😀 living in korea long term should mean learning korean and whether they live in seoul or decide to travel to gangneung it shouldn't matter if it's "tourist friendly" with English, they should be able to navigate life enough in korean to enjoy their trip without English
