Fantastic project Sam! and you've great history with it...when he explained why he wouldn't sell it to you 20 years ago tea spurted out my nose...'cos we'd have all done something similar and 'modded' it. great you now have the skills and maturity to do this right...and I didn't know about these Mk 1 (1.5s) either...very special cars.

I got offered a jenson 8 years ago for £2000 from a mot garage in Luton had the same suspension on as well i just didn't have the cash was sat there for years 😂

The Jensen was my first guess & Sunbeam Alpine 2nd. There aren't many American powered, British muscle cars, other than those two.

There is a rear window on marketplace

Named my first son after this car, 8 years on and I dread to think what the name on the c pillar would cost now

Looks like it was originally put in there and parted out as a donor for other projects 😅

I asked someone once if it was hard to get the rear curved glass…was then told no as when they rust as they usually do, all that’s left is the non metallic items…I.e the glass! 😂 Will it be completed before the GT40?

Igot offerd a Jensen intercepted but it had to much rust for a first year apprentice to do now I wish I took it on 440 engine in it

Speak to hammond sam his grandad worked at the intercepter factory and he has the smallest cog wink wink ps hope you got the boot lid and its not rotten as u will never get 1 rocking poo ps richard also restored one on the program from james 💯👍
