I really hope the devs give an update soon to add a radar map and I adjust the physics a tad bit because these arrows have not been the best overall, I'm getting used to them but I keep finding myself getting penalties from avoidable contact at the start of the race, on a bright side it has drastically improved my awareness so I guess that's good but a radar would be so much better

With no other racing games worth a shit to buy, that leaves just Forza bringing in all types of racers including toxic and aggressive racers. Forza could eliminate every bit of that seperating them by simply releasing an arcade racer. That is the type of racing game that others don't have anymore and brings them to our table in Motorsports. You can't say well they have NFS or The Crew because those are literally just horrible nowadays. And Horizon is just basically Motorsport in an urban environment.

Quick Tuning Guide: I cracked the tuning in Forza with a lot of work and effort. Biggest points for me is rollbars, springs, camber and rebound and bump stiffness. Changing these can turn any car into a demon. This is a simple guide for beginners to start with. Rollbars you want a balance so when you release throttle or breaks and coasting your car is hugging the corners without sliding or over steering. To do this try front around 22.00 to 24.50 and rear 19.50 to 21.50. Springs. Go into test drive and hit down on dpad to pull up the diagnostic view and show springs. Drive the car at peak turn speeds and make sure your springs never max out past 70%. Too hard will not flex enough and wont go past 60% up or down. Adjust to find this balance. Your car will be responsive but also has enough flex to corner and break. Camber is how your tires grip mid turn at low and high speeds. I would start with 1 to 2 on front and 1 ro 1.5 on rear. Change the toe out .1 or .2 for more turn in response. Too high will cause tailspin. Rebound and bunp stiffness will kick in when exiting a corner and will change the angle your car exits when accelerating out. I always keep the front stiff and the rear soft so you can exit and hit the gas at a steeper angle. For example, 7 to 8 front and 4 to 6 rear for both rebound and bump. Makes a huge difference. This is a very basic guide and every car is different but mess with these as a starting point. The rest you should feel out and adjust once you know how they effect your car. Cheers all and goodluck with you tune.

What secret? If the secret was setting up your car with a non-default tune... welcome to any racing game that has tuning? I wouldn't say that's a secret to success in forza multiplayer. You should definitely tune your cars, but that alone won't win you races. That's where the real secret comes in; stay out of trouble. Genuinely, just drive clean and try to keep some distance from cars in front of or behind you. It's early enough that chances are people are going to make unforeseen errors. Don't let them take you with them. Also dirty air doesn't affect your car when you're only driving at 90kmph, especially under breaking. You can admit that you got the penalty because of bad driving it's fine lmao.

So we have to watch this whole video to realize that you're in capital letters secret to multiplayer is just starting the back? This makes no sense if you started the front you don't get tied up in all that mess and the reason that guy let you by on the last lap is because he knew that he could win and didn't want you to take him out because you'd just rammed into him before that.

I strongly recommend starting 24th in online lobbies. As a matter of fact, in risk v reward section of career mode, I often opted for the clear air of the back of the grid.😂 Makes final position worth it, and more importantly, avoids a lot of heated exchanges after the race. 😅

You need to buy better guns as I find I run out of ammo really quick with the base guns. End of level bosses like the Ford Fiesta make me wish that the rocket launcher was available earlier on. Still I don't mind it because I am pretty good.

This is one of the most realistic racing sims ever made; The one we've been waiting six years for! Did you know that FM was built from the ground up and features the most realistic tyre physics in any game ever? So it's absolutely shocking that you had to gamify the car setup, as though it weren't built from the ground up to be the most realistic! I dare say I'm flabbergasted!

  • @Ermz

Physics aside, after over 7k hours in all racing-sims combined I find FM to be the most enjoyable handling-model while the so called 'hardcore-sims' are IMO very questionable. Those games also changed their physics & handling at least once significantly, so it must have been BS before and probably still is because the next big physics update is probably on the roadmap.

I would be interested to here what you fouund from tuning. I can make easy adjustments like ARBs, gearing, slight tire pressure, brake balance, and aero. Hell I've even used suspension geomterty a tiny bit. But rarely gain much. In stock, the Porsche GT3 is a rocket in the straights, but pretty understeery all the way around. Good tuning would definitely unlock a lot of potential in that car. The Audi is the stock meta, but I'm not sure how much more performance you could unlock on that car as it has pretty great handling and speed out of the box. Though it is a bit unstable without careful driving. I have a tune downloaded tune for the Ford GT LM that literally gains me over a second a lap at Road America down to a 2:04.9. My own tuning could only net me about a half a second.

Set up is everything. I found the Porsche with the right set up is agile but a bit too oversteery. Audi is just the goat it turns in so nicely and grips up perfectly I find. Did a 2:18:700 the other day round spa in it.
