I pretty much went to all the same stores when I was in Japan a couple of months ago. Great stores, but everything was a bit too pricey for me. Ended up swapping my VfB Stuttgart scarf for a Cerezo Osaka scarf with a very nice japanese fan at a Cerezo game. Japanese are generally very shy, but when you just approach them politely, they are usually super exited. And they love their football!

Thank you for watching!
9:42 me too mate, me too 😅 I may be a F·Marinos person but the FC Tokyo home shirt from 2007 was a different level of funky... I asked a biologist cousin who was stationed in Japan (back in 2010) to look out for a current season one but barely had time off due to her job's commitments
Ayyyy so glad this series is back! Genuinely my favourite series on KZread. That Sagan Tosu shirt my well be my favourite out of the bunch. Can’t wait to see where you go to next!
Mate... The FC Tokyo Club shop is the Xebio outside matchdays They also sell Tokyo Verdy shirts along with FC Tokyo. Only during matchdays, they have a shop inside the stadium according to which team is playing
Definitely had good variety pretty much everywhere. I'm always amazed how much imagination J League teams have with their designs truly different. Will say also that you got your cardio in.

Just wanted to say thank you for getting me through today man. Wish you nothing but success for the future.

Loved the video. Also, I dropped my jaw when I saw they had a Hansa Rostock kit at the last store you went to. It's insane what you find when travelling.
Wow! content has been so amazing this year. Keep it up!!

Always love the shirt hunting videos all the shops are making me want to go to Japan but anyway I’m going to Obzor, Bulgaria next week and hope to get good jerseys would love to see you do a jersey hunting in Bulgaria 🇧🇬
you've been on right missions recently man! smashing it
That totally sums up shopping in japan....stores closed on random days, stores just plain gone without notice. Japan has a massive recycle culture and "reuse" / second hand recycle stores are everywhere. Checking out stores located near team stadiums is a sure fire way to find vintage stuff.
This is the most positive I've ever heard you Ellis. Nice to see you had a good time.

Thank you!
I was in Japan recently and went to the Gamba Osaka vs Yokohama FM game with a Japanese girl friend, it was such a great experience even if Gamba got stuffed at home 2-0. I had no idea about the KAMO football shop in Shibuya, probably just as well as I'd have spent a ton of money in there.
This video was a banger I didn’t realize Japan had such a big football culture. Some of them shops were the best I’ve ever seen
Glad Ellis didn't go into any forests in Japan 🙄.

What a video! I went to the soccer shop Kamo last December in Yokohama really nothing like it over here in Australia
You're videos inspired me to take a look around some of the thrift stores in the area here. Didn't expect to find anything in Iow City, Iowa...but managed to find a Real Madrid Benzema kit and 2011 Argentina Kit. Surprised me!

Happy football shirt hunting should be good. Enjoy your time in Tokyo.
I got a green Kawasaki Frontale strip with the gold tag and a Japan strip from the second shop you went to when I was on my honeymoon, two of my fave shirts. Amazing country!
One of the best shirt hunting episodes🎉will love to visit Japan one day
As a partick thistle fan it’s good to see when someone acknowledge our mascot 🤣🤣🤣
There's a shirt I think you might like for the J-League and it's Sagan Tosu 2014 away kit. Hopefully you had a good time and were able to find some of the shirts you really liked. Also, baseball is huge there so I hope you got to witness a game or two whilst there.
I loved this, Argentina have some great looking tops, and Japanese tops were amazing, I've bin watching you for a while travelling around the grounds, keep up the good work Ellis,
Amazing variety of shirts in Japan
Hey Ellis. I live in Japan and went through 1,000 shirts in the past 5 years. FYI, Most of those shirts can be found here for 20-50GBP on the domestic auction sites. That away Sagan Tosu will be max 30GBP by November. Vintage Stores are slowly closing down, as it's all online market sites these days, and prices are REALLY low as Japanese people generally don't highly value things that are not brand new or straight from the store. Generally, the best time to buy is off-season, when many online stores sell BNWT stock from the past seasons for 30-50 GBP. Also, that Kawasaki Frontale shirt (Medium will be too tight for you as it's like a Small UK) was on Classic Football Shirts for GBP59.99 very recently, in all sizes.

Good video BTW, I enjoyed watching it.. But yeah, definitely needed a local guide as there's lots of missing or wrong info there. Also, that FC Tokyo cafe... It's just a generic chain with FC Tokyo logo, mate. Sukiya. Thousands of them around Japan :) P.S. Saw you on the Kohalon's Vlog too. Nice collab. By a pure accident, he did an interview with me at the same game. Had no idea you were around.

@@pc2633 Hi mate, i've been often bought football jerseys from Japan(i'm from Indonesia) in the secondhand local market here and few of them still had the label,i remember a store called "Vin Prime" and price is really fair tbh hence i was planning to visit Tokyo by the end of this year, could you spill the similliar store like Vin Prime in Tokyo area? I was worried since you mention some of the are turned online nowadays haha(i prefer to see it directly when i buy something). Thanks in advance mate.

Damn I missed those. Thanks Ellis for the content
Loving the random Bristol City shoutout in japan... Can confirm, we do open on weekdays
just watching the season for the first time , great vid
I can't be responsible for my own actions - 🤣🤣🤣 Now, did Jodie rip into you when you told her just how much you've spent on shirts? Japan is an amazing place for football shirts! You definitely need to go back out there Ellis you were like a kid high on sugar in those shops. Definitely my favourite video of yours in the world of shirt hunting.
Hey Ellis! Just to let you know, and if you're visiting Japan again, try visiting the two other VintageSports in Kichijoji and Machida. The Shibuya branch doesn't have that many Japanese jerseys compared to either of those branches
Love the video specific hashtags
congrats on 30 years of JLeague ❤️

ALSO YOU WENT TO WATCH THE FRONTALES? Yes! The best team in the league (not bias at all as it is my team hahaha) - they've had many great kits and special kits. Also there's a lot of Celtic stuff because a lot of Japan international players play there and the club has good relations with the league/teams - Kyogo Furuhashi is a class striker, there was a huge up roar when he wasn't picked for the World Cup team. Anyways this vlog was awesome, keep it up. :)

The shop you went at 6:34 also has a store in Kichijoji station which has more Jleague shirts with better price
Which would you recommend for older J-league shirts? I'm after the 2018 Jubilo Iwata home shirt and going to be in Tokyo for a few days in August
Hey Ellis what camera do you use to film
The football shirt shops in Japan are absolutely amazing. Fantastic.
I was at the vintage football shirts shop when I was there a month ago! They had the Flames Japan kit in a long sleeve. Couldn’t afford the $500 aud for it 🤣😭

I was in Japan 2 weeks ago and visited those exact shops, was so tempted to buy that Ferdinand jersey but just a bit too small for me, and can confirm that Ed Sheeran ad was driving me mental as I walked past it every day.
You should do a video with Zealand maybe classic football shirts
class vid as usual
Another reason why I want to visit Japan
The best league in Asia Pacific. Hands down. Remember when playing winning 11 with bellmare hiratsuka: Hidetoshi Nakata & Wagner Lopez in the starting line-up.

Thanks bro I love in Japan and I've been looking for jersey
From the thumbnail it looks like you're holding the JEF United Chiba strip from the 90s when they were in J1. They are struggling now mid table in J2. I'm hoping for V Varen Nagasaki to get promotion this season. Good find on the Shimizu S Pulse shirt. I've still got my home and away Kashima Antlers 97 season shirts which i got for an absolute steal in the late 90s. Also got 95 season Nagoya Grampus 8 shirt
