Hey Silas to bad those high heels didn't have steel toes , you would be styling at the junk yard! Love these treasure hunt videos. I can't believe how filthy some of those cars are inside. Great video like always!! 👍👍👍
Because I live in SoCal, it's not uncommon seeing a dude wearing high heels, a bowtie and funny sunglasses.

Ain't that odd in Alabama on the back roads and normally they have no teeth and bald.... AIN'T IT JUST AIN'T IT 😜 lols
I LOVE these junkyard treasure hunts! Can't wait for more! I hope you can save the '88 Oldsmobile & the Ford F-150! I'd like to see an experiment to see how successful cars that were brought in with keys sell at your yard! They're great for Gambler 500 or demo derby at the very least!
Always love the treasure hunts! Thanks!
Hey Silas! Fun as always!! That tool at 27:00 is a fuel line release tool. Very handy when you need one! Looking dapper there buddy!
Great video! I love looking through old cars you never know what you will find! As far as 1964 goes that's the year I was born and I am definitely feeling old!!!!

Any plans for your Big 6- oh coming up? Bucket list? I just turned 60 in July and I find it interesting almost being a senior, where did the time go?

@@Mr.Howell78k hi, I have no great plans I'm afraid. All very boring I know. You are right about time racing past, it doesn't seem that long ago we were celebrating the millennium and now we are nearly a quarter of the way on to the century!
Somehow I get tons of positive energy from these Junkyard Treasure Hunts! Please do one every 30 days. 🎉 Silas you just have no idea how much some of us lonely people enjoy your comments and searches, better than an Easter egg hunt for big kids. I like your idea of jars with random stuff. Bury them as crazy time capsules, with a note.🤔🤔 *I also enjoyed seeing what you ate on your 1500 mile road trip!
A productive treasure hunt there silas.😊
27:05 it's a tool for separating gas lines, AC lines, oil lines in newer cars.
"Throw it on the ground, when I find it again later I can be happy a second time" That's the spirit Silas! 🤠👍
That is always fun every time you do it
On the New Beetle, that large black piece in the spare tire usually has a few tools in it.
My friend worked at a car wash, he found a ton of dirty money in the vacuums he put it in a rockroller and turned it in the bank.
Car Treasure Hunt - hey - You are in the Money ! Nice Camera - hope it works ! Bow Tie and those Shades - You are all set ! Useful Tool - nice ! Compact Fishing Gear - how cool is that ! Hi, is there anyone in Australia doing junkyard videos? Do you eat deep fried Frog Legs 🐸🦵🦵?
I don't know if you open the mirrors on sunvisors but thats a good place to hide some cash Just a suggestion
Don't eat the cookie! Hilarious.
Silas!! Love you prospecting through the junk cars!! The U.S. Mint did change from 95% copper to mostly zinc in 1982. But, it was mid-year when they made the switch. You have to weigh the pennies to determine their content. 95% copper pennies weigh 3 to 3.2 grams each. Zinc pennies weigh 2.5 to 2.6 grams each. So, anytime you find a 1982, you'll have to weigh it to identify between 95% copper and zinc. And also, you are correct, the copper in a 95% penny is worth .03 cents.
Burning candle at both ends, and keeping it fun, Thumbs up, great video
Though scissor jacks are terrible, they're sure worth more than scrap weight, for plenty of things other than using on cars. Time to start filling up a truck bed with them, lol. Surprised you didn't check under the spare tire cover foam that had a jack. Putting valuables under a spare tire that's bolted down is pretty common.
That was fun Silas, thanks! Peace, DrRick
Hey Silas, to clean the old dirty coins, just get a can/bottle of coke, soda's. they get clean in a few minutes Cheers.
sweet, my fav kind of afternoon vid
Bring class back to the junk yard ! Excellent. I enjoyed that one. I still want to send you a item for your school bus.

👍👌👏 Nice finds. Congratulations 🎉
As a technician I have found a lot of money under the center consoles while replacing heater cores and evaporators . Second best spot was under the rear seats .
You might want to check the vanity mirrors on the visor. I used to stash $20 bills in mine. Sometimes I forget about him
And i did something similar today, just in a box of junk instead of in cars. This is what i found! 3 iPad 2’s + 2 cases Nikon D200 + battery, charger, lens and lens hood 4GB SanDisk CF card WD Scorpio Blue 500GB 2.5 inch HDD WD Black 500GB 2.5 inch HDD Kingston 120GB 2.5 inch SSD Sony NP-BG1 charger 2 Sata cables 4 rechargeable AAA batteries 2 alkaline AA batteries SD card case Camera bag Nikon camera strap Some random trinkets, iirc a power-bank casing, a neat heatsink, and a lego technic gear piece.
Soak the grungie coins in pure lemon juice. Cleans them up rather nicely!!
Gday Silas from down under Australia. We got rid off most of our small denomination coins years ago. In 2011 we were in the USA and saw a woman throwing something out of her car window, when she left I had a look and she was throwing out all her small change, lol. Love your videos keep up the good work and seeya later mate.
A fun treasure hunt 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Was that John Wayne toilet paper? You can tell if it’s rough and tough and don’t take crap off anyone.
You had me i thought you was really gonna eat that girl scout cookie 😂
Yes you just never know what people are going to leave behind. I saw some people digging through storage units they bought and they found guns complete car engines and all sorts of antiques. It's all an adventure when you don't know what you are going to find. Thanks fr the look around Silas.
Great 👍 treasure hunt
Silas, I guess it's a guy thing, but, I am a 70 year young retiree and I LOVE watching you "dig" through the cars and trucks looking for "goodies". Thanks for the very interesting videos !
That tool you didn’t know what was it is taking off fuel lines that have a special lock. Used to work at a junk yard and the stuff we would find was crazy. Great video
The Jaguar off the Bonett is worth some $$$$ 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Always carry change in your pocket, so no one can say that you’re cents less.
Lol come on now u ran back n ate the cookies later 😅😅😊😊😊😂😂😂
my favorite of all your videos!! The treasure hunts!
18:55 “Bow ties are Cool!” Dr. Who!
You are one cool junk man 😊
Silas, the glasses look good on you 😊
Thanks for sharing 😊.
Silas love the treasure hunts.
Dang that 88 Olds and the shortbed Ford are definitely worth putting on marketplace! We'd kill for stuff that solid up here.
Having a FM radio was cool once ! Like passenger outside mirror were an actual option too .
Very Good one Silas
Great show keep up the amazing work be safe my friends God bless all
the Montero is known as a Pajero here in Oz - which amuses the folks who speak Spanish apparently, was a bit of a mistake in marketing. They bring a lot more than scrap as 4x4 have blown up in price here, even old ones.
Dang! That Jaguar is beautiful!
Salis that was great and you needed a breat today thanks for the tour of the new cars on the lot cant wait for next video thank you
Great video! Thank you muchly!
Silas You made my day! Love the treasure hunts and you did find some cool items!
The thing you do for your viewers. Thanks 😅
Cool beans on the SimpliSafe. Those glasses may be for colorblind folks. My son has a pair but I can't remember what they look like. he's colorblind. cool finds.
Dude, when you put on that bowtie, I immediately felt an urge to buy a car from you.
Always amusing! If you have the time, it's always worth checking CD's, even if you have no clue. It's yet another treasure hunt, that sometimes you can strike real gold. Good luck!
Hey Silas, Have you ever thought about getting a big jar/piggy bank and keeping all the loose change you find over a 12/ 24-month period. It would be interesting to see how much you save?
Everytime i go to the scrap yard to pull parts that i need for my personal vehicles. i always take a walk and check out the other vehicles just incase. i've found tools, money, gift cards, and some interesting stuff. It feels like a treasure hunt. and my wife loves coming with me. i pull the parts and she goes wandering to find treasures. lol
That scissor tool is for gas lines on certain cars to get the fuel filter out
I love these treasure hunt!
I seen you snacking behind that truck on them cookies lol
Open up the covers on mirrors on visors as some people will put gas or beer money in there
once again you definitely have the best video of the day can hardy wait to see what you do next keep them coming
Awesome. Thanks for the video.
Nice finds
I worked at a few yards always fine stuff even behind the glove boxes
Thanks for a nice video that was cool..........
0:52, always check the trash 🗑, once found 5k under the bag of a trashcan back in the 90's
Silas you could collect the dirty coins and clean them with hot water and a couple of denture cleaning tablets in a glass or mug. i found quite a few coins under the mat of one of our lorries at work the coins were all sticky and dirty so i cleaned them with the hot water and denture tablets. money is money after all and it all adds up in the end.

I have a tow company in central Cali and it's crazy all the treasures you find😂😅😂😅😊
You need to keep a last year Oldsmobile and a last year Pontiac...for when you're 65.
That tool like an X is to remove the fuel filter.
Cooler then Dang it!
Nice find.
Cell phones got precious metals in the circuit-boards, so you should perhaps consider selling them for recycling, a bunch at a time. We're talking gold and copper. The gold recovered from 1 t of waste PCBs can be sold for approximately USD 10,000, and thus the return on investment can be as high as approximately 1400%. Found a bunch of cash myself, back when I drove a taxi, graveyard shift during a five year period - between fifty and a hundred USD a month, so along with tips it provided a fine supplement for my (low) income. Good luck - recycling is positive, an honourable business for sure
The copper value did exceed the face value of 1 cent coins. That's why they changed the composition in 1982. They also passed a law making it illegal to sell copper cents for scrap. The concern was not having enough coins in circulation. The old solid copper cents definitely last longer than the copper plated zinc variety.
Silas, you should grab a wash bag for small and delicate parts, throw all the coinage in it, and toss it in a wash load. They should come up pretty good after that, bonus is they've been laundered! Tension breaker, had to be done! 😂🤪🤑👍👍
I agree with you on the most valuable thing. That's like gold when you need it 😅
25:05, dang ,could have used the 3rd brake light out of that Oldsmobile! ...just gave my friend a brand new reverse light assembly for the very same car that he has ,he broke the reverse light & couldn't find a used one anywhere, but he was in luck ,i had a brand new NOS assembly in the GM box in my closet & hooked him up with it,i also had the missing wire wheel cover locking wrench that he was also missing, i actually still sell or use those wheel cover wrenches & locks
You should go through the throw out coin area with a metal detector...another treasure adventure.😊
Thought you were going to eat it lol nice
Looking sharp lmbo
15 min soaking in some hot water and Dawn, that change should be good to go. That's what I do when I make a pick and pull run. Look through some vehicles for loose change. I usually make back my entry fee and then some.😂
Fun treasure hunt.
Keep Up The Good Work
