How cool is that. A GameBoy SP that actually works as a console. 😊 I ordered mine 2 days ago, and I am Hyped. I haven't been this hyped, since the golden age of gaming. Nowadays, there's just no cool official nintendo (little) handhelds anymore. I'd love to make an early 2000 tv commercial for the RG35XX SP. The old handheld adds were pretty cool 😄

I remember getting the Nintendo SP and being able to play all my GBA games, that screen on the GBA was garbage! The SP went everywhere with me because of that flip screen, was my favorite handheld ever! I have this one now and haven't played any GBA games, just SNES games, lol.

The original SP was my favorite and a few years ago I found one in a box that we had given to the kids years ago. It was in rough shape, so I bought a kit and replaced the LCD, battery and case and it runs way better than when it was new thanks to that LCD upgrade. I recently bought this Anbernic model and look forward to loading my favorite games on it and taking it on trips when I'm away.

Play around with custom fw . Knulli is great . Heaps of features

The SP came out the year I graduated high school and I have so many amazing memories of it. I love that they have that classic silver color. My only complaint about it is I think it’s too chunky. If they could slim it down this is a 10/10

Yeah I love my SP. This one hit me right in the nostalgia's. I've used it more then any other of the retro handhelds that I've bought, so form factor is king for taking it along with me and no case. Nostalgia is a powerful thing

I borrowed a GBA SP from a friend to play Super Mario World on there when I was 7 or 8. First game I ever completed despite my total lack of skill. Took me weeks! This thing is adorable. I totally see the appeal, guess we just really love clamshell designs eh Shane?

I got one too and beat Mario Advance 3 on it. Love it. I just wish the RetroArch fast forwards speeds on GBA were faster for games like Pokemon

It is actually the OG Game Boy version. I am actually getting the Tranlucent Blue one for my Birthday next Month.

With the latest OS update from Anbernic you can close the screen while it's connected to a TV via HDMI.

They already fix that on the latest update you can use it on tv while the screen is close even the audio player but they haven’t fix the wireless headphone issue so it still need those bluetooth dongle with a headphone jack

Sega Saturn runs well on knulli . Just make sure U make sure Ur ready to remap ur button in batocera as power button does not change dpad to analogue like stock os

Yer NEVER open the (Games) Room Tab. Makes the games soo unplayable 😂 so avoid that one at all costs. Besides that, im absolutely loving this device so far. Might possibly become my retro handheld of the year.

Mine completely died on me to a point where it didn't want to turn on anymore. Hopefully this new one I'm getting doesn't have that issue. I heard that it could've been the SD card I was using.

SD Cards on these things fail frequently. Would be worth reflashing the software. Same process as updating it.

So let me ask did you add your Mario game ROMS or do they come with it. Most of all these reviews no one specifically adds that you have to put your own ROMS on to play Mario games. I am eagerly awaiting mine, can't wait! Thank you for the great review!

It plays 70 - 80 percent of psp well as well

There's incredible stutter with game room I felt

I snagged two, the grey and the silver. Had to be done. This is without a doubt, the handheld of the year and I've got the bloody RP4 Pro and many others, meh; they all pale in comparison.

throw the latest build of muOS on that bad boy!

I played mario 64 with a d pad when it came out on Nintendo ds.

i wish this device had a 3:2 screen, gba games don't look very good on this device, despite the form factor

Never use game room, use RA games instead. The game run is all stand alone stuff and runs bad in some cases. RA is more customizable as it lets you choose which emulator to run.

DO NOT USE THE GAME ROOM APP!! 🙅‍♂️🙅‍♂️🙅‍♂️
