In my opinion, i always felt like neymar was cursed from the start of his career, and "reaching his full potential" was a task that he could possibly never reach, why? Because he rose to prominence in the midst of the messi/ronaldo generation, arguably the greatest rivalry in sports history, and two players that could each have their own case on why they should be considered as the greatest of all time, hence neymar didn’t only have to be better than everyone else to reach "his full potential", but also had to be better than the two players that currently hold every single individual record in football. When he was at barcelona (at the peak of his career) he was overshadowed by Messi, when he went to PSG, he was once again overshadowed by a young generational talent (Mbappe), he never had his own generation to prove himself, keep in mind he achieved everything he can on club level, scored and assisted more than ronaldinho, will soon overcome pèle as Brazil’s top scorer (they’re tied at 77 goals), but he never won a World Cup nor a Balon D’or (unlike past Brazilian legends) Neymar never really had a chance at reaching his full potential, because he had to do more than any other player before him to reach it. he also suffered alot of injuries that stem from his explosive style of play.

Nah he has gone through a lot of injuries recently, give some time to recoup. Remember Vinicius jr finishing they were far worse before he got good. I think Ansu will also improve
