Billy and Jay turned down a lucrative offer from a major TV network (History Channel, I believe?) because corporate heads wanted them to be more scripted and plant fake game finds-that's integrity right there. So if you think this was faked then you should probably rethink that logic. Even if that wasn't the case, how do you fake several layers of dust and dried up bird poop? Furthermore, why would you deface valuable games for the sake of that detail?

What have you learned? Keep some masks/respirator/gloves in your glovebox in case you come across something like this again. Also, maybe a box to keep in your trunk to put anything you find in, to keep from having it in the interior of the car w/you. That said, HELL OF A FIND!!! Love the "kid on Christmas" comparison. I would have done the same as you in this case. Definitely feel your pain w/the Darkwing Duck box. 😢 Love that you guys stopped again on the way back. This was a FANTASTIC vid!

My favourite part of the episode is actually Billy’s attitude towards giving things back if the owner wants. Actually putting in effort to respect people is more important than finding things for nothing. There’s too many people on KZread and off that couldn’t give an F.

Yeah, nothing against the "flippers" and their whatnot channels, but it has gotten so dried out and predictable. It's just them throwing ridiculous amount of money around games and stuff.
Man, you know you have a serious addiction and some problems if you are actually overjoyed and enthusiastic to break into someone else's property, an old haunted Rental Store that is covered in Toxic Bird Feces, Piss, Mold and God only knows what else. You then proceed to grab hold of the games raw, bare handed, wearing No gloves using no Mask , breathing in toxic style air etc etc. Probably going to require some medical shots after doing such insane things. There is no way in Hell I would go inside that disease ridden building, let alone touch any of the stuff inside, I cant imagine how dangerous and extremely hazardous to a persons health this is.
Amazing episode, thanks for capturing this for your fans.

Wow! It was really exciting to live vicariously through you on this one, Billy. I can totally see myself reacting the same way to this discovery, being unable to resist exploring even though it's so disgusting. 😅 Pretty awesome! Great episode.
Hey a new Game Chasers video! Always a welcome notification. Love you guys, been watching for like 12 years
So cool to see this. You were the exact right person to find this!
Fun Fact: this store was probably thriving around 1990 to around 1996. I didn’t see any dvds, which released in 1997. Based on the games NES Darkwing Duck which released in 1992 and the VHS of Back to the Future 3 which was released in 1990. SNES Battle Toads released in 1993. If I had to guess, this store probably closed it’s doors in 1999.
You did a good thing calling around first before taking. While I believe in the Urban Exploror motto - "Leave Nothing But Footprints And Take Nothing But Memories", I believe if you know 100% that a place is completely forgotten about with absolute NO owners left, it's alright to salvage things. While sometimes it's rude and wrong to take from abandoned places, I put myself in the shoes. If my house or business was completely abandoned and I was left alone then died, I wouldn't want my things to rot away. I'd want them to have a second chance.
I've been waiting for something like this to happen in my 44 years of existence. Couldn't imagine finding an old, run-down, store that was lost to time with a supply of big box tapes, etc. Fuck.
This is the stuff of legends. What a cool find. Can’t believe games were still in the condition you found them in to be honest. Would love to see a follow up on if they worked or how you got them cleaned up. Thank you for solo filming this find, and sharing it with us too.
This is another all-time TGC moment. What a wild find and a killer episode.

I've been watching the channel since 2011 and this episode is probably the most exciting one even after all these years. Nice find Billy thanks for sharing.
When Billy was looking through the instruction manuals I did see a Ready 2 Rumble manual and the game was released in 99, so they were at least open until then! Awesome episode!
When I saw the door open I literally screamed, "Do it Billy!" And you opened the door. Awesome find and Awesome episode.

This was so fun to watch! Was on the edge of my seat the entire time
First off, I wanna' say that the individuals behind this channel are definitely genuine guys with a hardcore passion for all things video games - including collecting. I tip my hat off to you fellas. With that being said, I'm not the type of person to condemn / judge another because of their own personal choices. In fact, if folks choose to pillage some abandoned building in search of a few measly pigeon-dung Genesis / SEGA CD titles that aren't worth jack-squat in those conditions or even worth the trouble to clean-up... err, then knock yourself out. Heck, I'm a pretty diehard gamer / collector myself and I can understand the initial excitement when coming across a find such as this. Sheesh, I'm still convinced that the SEGA CD still remains one of the greatest and most influential console / add-on of ALL-TIME... as it undoubtedly ushered in a new era of technology and interactivity (at the time) that was unprecedented, and the gaming industry wouldn't be what it is today if not for the early '90's. Whatever the case may be (and while this was definitely an "interesting" episode), it just boggles my mind that people are willing to put their overall health at risk over what's nothing more than garbage at this point. Not only that (and while this place was abandoned for probably decades), this guy was clearly trespassing on property that's not his. Yeah, I get it... it's not like anyone in that Arizona town is going to essentially care. While most of the comments posted are positive and ultimately congratulate this guy on the "find of the century" - RULE OF THUMB... don't EVER think that a find such as this dump is even worth taking a second glance. Hey, I understand the whole "thrill of the hunt" when collecting. But seriously, he didn't even bother to put on some vinyl gloves and perhaps a mask before entering? Yeah, not too bright considering you could easily cut yourself on a piece of glass and get Sepsis or even Cryptococcus from all the pigeon turds. Now, I've thankfully managed to live through a Sepsis incident YEARS ago, and I would NOT wish this upon anybody unless you have a death wish - TRUST ME. Not only that, being infected with some disease because of pigeon poo can do some SERIOUS, SERIOUS damage. Again, to each their own. The thing is, the few "sub-par" games he managed to salvage was in no way worth all that inconvenience. Hmm, putting your health / life at risk for a freakin' 'Darkwing Duck' box? No thanks. Why not just try EBAY and save yourself the trouble. Plus, he could have easily gotten to his destination in a more timely manner than getting side-tracked for hours with this whole ordeal. All in all, I'm merely expressing my concern for people and their overall well-being. I'm serious. While watching this video, I kept thinking to myself... this individual seems really cool and a guy I'd love to share some gaming stories with. However, I kept cringing every time he kept touching / breathing in more pigeon crap. Please people, if you're going to get curious in an endeavor like this... at the very least, throw on some gloves to protect yourself. Otherwise, your gaming days might come to an abrupt halt if you're not careful. Take Care Everyone - and obviously be safe in your collecting conquests. :)
One time my Dad and I came across a closed down rental store in a small town we would regular pass through on our way to Panama City. The place still looked the same as the day it closed, with movies and cases still on the shelves. My Dad found out who the owner is and tried to negotiate going into the store to see what games he had (as there were some still on the shelves), but the guy wanted to sell the entire contents of the store (games and movies). The store was eventually cleared out and now a small vacuum repair store is in it's place.
