I FOUND A WAY TO ACHIEVE UNLIMITED GRIP - Nomousse

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Today, I'm introducing nomOusse, a tubeless system designed for enduro riders. This system allows you to decrease the pressure in the rear tire, enhancing grip on various surfaces without worrying about punctures. Moreover, installing this system is straightforward and can be done by anyone. It's also worth noting that changing tires with nomOusse is easier compared to any other system. After installation, you only need to remove the outer tires, while the nomOusse system remains on the rim, simplifying and speeding up the tire-changing process.

As always, a very good video. It´ s a pleasure to see you overpassing wet rocks. We have thousand km experience with NomOusse and the reliability is very hig when using according the manufacturer instructions (ensure tube protection from rim punctures, check tube pressure above 4 bars, use 150 cc of gel inside tire, not for soft xtreme tires, not to put a half mousse inside)

Tubliss type system combined with half-mousse inserts designed for it (TACS PROTEC for example) seems to be the best of both worlds. You can run 0 bar in the outer chamber and still get enough cushioning, protection, and support for the tire to continue riding without necessarily needing to fix the leak, or you can normally ride higher pressures and barely notice it being there. Sure, it's probably the heaviest and most expensive setup but it works very well.

In my opinion it puts together the worst of both worlds. The spongy feeling of the mousse and its limited lifespan + still having a chance of puncturing the inner system. Not to mention mousses cannot hold up at high speeds... Instead, I would recommend carrying a puncture repair kit, thanks to the slime in the tire you will very clearly see if there's a puncture and then it's only a 20 seconds repair, I've done it myself 3 or 4 times.

@@jacoboortizdeurbina7482 There's no spongy feeling of the mousse at all during the "fully operational" state of this setup, as long you have some air in the outer chamber it behaves like a normal Tubliss in all cases other than deep hitting some sharp rocks or whatever, in which case the half-mousse protects the tire and the rim. Since the half-mousse in this setup is rarely under full use it will last quite a bit as well. However, once you do get a puncture you can either: 1) carry on with a reduced feeling of a mousse, but still way better than a zero pressure Tubliss-only (which is basically unrideable and will quickly destroy your tire, the rim, and the Tubliss itself on most terrain), or 2) fix the leak if you have the tools to do so and continue as usual. And if you puncture the Tubliss itself you're out of luck anyway.

Utilizo el sistema tubliss hace 8 años y estoy encantado. Aunque no otilice nunca el nomusse, creo que los sistemas son muy similares. Para utilización amateur, creo que no hay nada igual. Saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷

Looks like a good system but when I went an had a look at the price it was $70 AUD more than the Tubliss system. That would bring it up to $270. The Tubliss I normally run at 0.2 bar without any issues. If it wasnt for the big price difference I would be keen to give it a try.

You put together the worst of both worlds with no added value. NomOusse already protects the rim as it is, no need to put anything on top.

@@jacoboortizdeurbina7482 But in video is mentioned Nomousse works best with 0.4 bar? Isn't this too much? I ride 0.2 to 0.3 bar with Tubliss and half of mousse over it. Tried tubes, mousses, Tubliss only, Traxy, but this is the best. Also pros use it for training. I just cut with knife a bit less than half of inner ring of used mousse away and I make a deep groove in it where the Tubliss can sit in when I set the pressure really low (like 0.2 or 0.15 bar). It is not hard to do, there are also videos on youtube. In case of flat, you can ride on on half of the mousse until you fix it with injection. Max grip, adjustable pressure, low cost (Tubliss after 300 hrs like new). You can cut old mousse in half and use both halves. What are benefits of Nomousse compared to that? How does it compare with Traxy? If I see some convincing arguments I will try it.

I'll give it a shot! In my opinion, putting both systems together is getting the worst of both worlds: you still have the spongy feeling of the mousse and its limited lifespan + still having a chance of puncturing the inner system. Not to mention mousses cannot hold up at high speeds... It feels a bit like using different shoes on each foot to run faster. Instead, I would recommend using a tubeless system and carrying a puncture repair kit, which nowadays are the size of an air pods case. Thanks to the slime in the tire you will very clearly see where the puncture is and then it's only about a 20 seconds repair, I've done it myself 3 or 4 times and I'm not a handy person, so I reckon everyone can do it. Using a tubeless system gives you the best grip you can possibly get on an enduro motorbike, I use mine at 0.4bar and the grip and riding feelings are just unmatched... Just see how the guy in the video who is riding in front of him is struggling to climb up on those rocks, that right there is the comparison of mousse vs tubeless. The two reasons why hard enduro pro Riders use mousse are because they get them for free and because during competitions, they cannot risk something like a valve braking or a branch cutting through their very soft tires to happen. Now, when it comes to what tubeless system to choose...the advantages of NomOusse are, as shown in the video, a lot... Even when compared to similar systems. For starters you don't have to drill a hole in the rim to install it. Its higher profile, as seen in the video, protects the rim even when riding at 0bar, I know this for a fact as just last month I did 50km of rocky Spanish terrain at 0bar. Other than that, no sketchy metal pieces rolling around, 1st in class materials like kevlar, easy to install and virtually unlimited lifespan. Also on the NomOusse web you can separately purchase every single spare piece of the system, in case you manage to damage something in the future and need a repair... Personally, I've been using my NomOusse for years, tens of thousands of enduro km and 3 different motorbikes. In that time I had to use my puncture repair kit 3-4 times and a couple times I rode at 0bar if I forgot to bring my kit, and it was perfectly fine (nor the rim or the tire were damaged at all) I hope you find my thoughts useful, please let me know if you would have further questions!

@@jacoboortizdeurbina7482 tnx for info. You have to cut deep groove in half mousse, so Tubliss sits in it, look at TACS system. You won't get spongy feeling this way. Half mousse is in there only for case of flat tire, so you can ride on easier and it protects tire a bit in case of big hits.

@@jacoboortizdeurbina7482 what would you say are downsides of Nomousse compared to Tubliss and half mousse? Poor side tire stability in case of pressures bellow 0.3 bars? It reminds me of Traxy.
