That "brush hook" reminds me of the medieval HALBERD. Those roofing hatchets are super utilitarian. A super thin blade hammer head. The hammer is more purposeful for striking(less likely to swell the eye) than a pole/butt of a axe.

I was looking for clean ideas and saw your vinegar vid and the flea market vid was a suggestion so I clicked it the only Norland I have was hanging in my bosses shed. He had no idea where it came from

the norlund is awesome that's my favorite but that double bit is so cool.. the patina is wicked I don't even care about a makers mark when it looks like that. that was one hell of day. and the dog roasters was the icing on the cake. good hunting

That is a rigging hatchet, I still use mine for framing.

The roofers hatchet can be used like a carpenter's side axe for carving etc. while the forks would look good with marshmallows on them.

A Walters?? Automatic reshare! They stopped production in 1973 and that head design will split, as well as blasting massive chunks when chopping.

Killinger in reality it is likely the real treasure, I know you like your Norlands but finding a Walters in that condition is a rare one indeed! Lucky you.

TurtleWolf Pack o trust me, I realize this. Norlund are not really that rare. Just a fun brand to collect lol. They are a younger company after all and were still making them till sometime in the late 80's. I have a couple Walters and happy to have what I have. Very good steel!

Killinger Ild love to see a video of them, often through use the poorly stamped makers mark would vanish and many Walters have disappeared to obscurity. I think one grail axe I need to find is actually a Walters Hudson Bay. Oddly enough we see more classic Hults Bruks here north of the 49th than any other brand.

Nice Norland but that cruiser is the best of the bunch. I've gotten a couple axes by Marshal Wells in the past two weeks, a single bit and a double bit. The double is also marked Zenith. Have you ever heard of Marshal Wells? Be nice to see how your hall cleans up. Have a good one.
