I Found a CRAZY Calcite Crystal Cluster Formed in Alien-Looking Cave Rocks in Florida!

I LOVE unexpected finds! I went out searching for 40 million year old fossil sea urchins and sand dollars, and I ended up coming home with what might be the most beautiful Calcite Crystal cluster I have ever found! In this video I also take the time to appreciate some of Florida's unique geology by taking a look at these funky, bubbly, outer space looking rocks that form inside ancient caves in the 40 million year old limestone! Hope y'all enjoy today's adventure, and be sure to subscribe if you haven't already! Don't forget to check out all the links below!

I been doing a lot of medal detecting and a little bottle digging. I went to Germany early in the spring and everything was locked down so I spent 4 months medal detecting and exploiting, since then I realized how much I enjoy making my videos and not I'm obsessed with it. Before the pandemic I really didn't film my adventures. Stay safe and happy hunting.

The last couple of your videos, I have thought, "how cool it would be if you used some of you music strategically, in the background." Like while you are paddling, driving or walking. It can really add dimension to your videos while getting your music out there. You could include links to the place to purchase the music. Sooo, you asked how I cope with COVID-19 and isolation and the stress of late and all? I work for a hospital company with a bunch of nurses, and we all just got vaccinated because they come in contact with patients who're often sick with the virus, and I come in contact with them. So stress relief is pretty important. I live in AZ, so I hike in the desert as much as I can, go geocaching, rockhound, knap points out of obsidian, and take photos of Native American petroglyphs and ruins. I started making planted aquariums at the start of the whole COVID thing and was going to just do one, but they're addictive and now I have three. And I play with my pets (3 snakes, 3 bearded dragons, 5 ferrets, 2 desert tortoises (currently brumating) and 2 cats), cook (Japanese food is a fav), knit, sew masks and read a lot. ^_^ And then I go back to work. Gotta tell you, my RN coworkers are amazing; nurses are freakin' tough. Thanks for the great video, and thanks for asking! Stay healthy, okay? (Also, that piece of calcite, daaaaaaamn!)

Sadly, there isn't a whole lot of fossil hunting spots up here in Indiana but its cool to see all the awesome things you and Chris can find. I'm currently in an Intro to archaeology class in college and the artifacts that one can find, like arrowheads and spearpoints, are really fascinating. I am also taking a geology class next semester that is all about gemstones and I am so excited to learn more about that. My interest in all this kind of stuff is because of watching your videos these past couple of years.

Yo! At any pharmacy you can get oxcolic acid. Its really simple. A crockpot and the acid. Cook the rocks for probably 24 hours. Or until the outside discoloration is gone. It will take the green off and leave you with really nice specimens.

Kyle, I have been de-stressing by watching you and your friends, and by watching funny stuff on youtube and binge-watching shows on netflix. I am a server at Cheddars, so that keeps me occupied, but I have got to get out and do some of my own hunting before I lose my mind!! Love your videos and cant wait to see more. Maybe we can meet up at some point. There's a lot of places around the GA coast I want to check out!

I love watching your videos because of the cool and exotic stuff you find down there on the opposite side of our country. We might be coming down to Orlando in December and I’d love to hunt for those coral geodes you find in some of your other videos. Thank you for the inspiration! And yes, rockhounding and getting outdoors is how I cope.

I never knew that sand dollars and sea biscuits were part of the sea urchin family til I watched your channel. I know I would have preferred walking through them then those ouchy black spined sea urchins to go swimming in the atlantic ocean. I always loved horseshoe crabs and tried to save them when I found them washed upside down on the ancient coral reefs you had to walk on along that shore. Needless to say I toughened up my feet up and I can still walk on rocks barefoot. Loved your Calcite Crystal find it will be beautiful when you clean it up.

Some of those conglomerate pieces of green rock, remind me of the HULK during his transformation. Since you are planning to display some on shelves, maybe you could combine pieces and form the Hulk, add some torn up shorts he wears paint black hair on his head. You might need a Google reference for his face. It might sound crazy to you, but I think it would be Kool. What do you think WILDKYLE?
