I Found a CRAZY Calcite Crystal Cluster Formed in Alien-Looking Cave Rocks in Florida!
I LOVE unexpected finds! I went out searching for 40 million year old fossil sea urchins and sand dollars, and I ended up coming home with what might be the most beautiful Calcite Crystal cluster I have ever found! In this video I also take the time to appreciate some of Florida's unique geology by taking a look at these funky, bubbly, outer space looking rocks that form inside ancient caves in the 40 million year old limestone! Hope y'all enjoy today's adventure, and be sure to subscribe if you haven't already! Don't forget to check out all the links below!

I been doing a lot of medal detecting and a little bottle digging. I went to Germany early in the spring and everything was locked down so I spent 4 months medal detecting and exploiting, since then I realized how much I enjoy making my videos and not I'm obsessed with it. Before the pandemic I really didn't film my adventures. Stay safe and happy hunting.

I do basically the same as you. In Florida, just a few minutes from the Inglis 1A site, I can go outside to my backyard or just down the road and find fossils. Otherwise, I study paleontology, make a little art, and just get outside to enjoy nature. Love the Halloween weather here!

Thank you for sharing another great video. I love all the educational information you give us. Have you ever thought about going back to school and studying geology? As for how I get through these trying times...I found your channel and Jiggin' with Jordan, Yappy and DALLMD's channel just a short time ago so I have been playing catch-up on the videos and really enjoying them. I enjoy hunting in the farmers fields near my house. My home is situated right on a glacial moraine, and I have been finding fossils from the Pennsylvanian to the Devonian along with a wide variety of different rocks. Just got the black light that y’all use and I can not wait to try it out when I go back home. I haven’t been able to do much rock hunting as of recent because I am now in college studying geology, with hopes to work at my state’s museum in the natural resource department. Great video Kyle! Thanks to you and Chris, I was able to identify the echinoid my niece found while we were swimming the Rainbow River. But man, that chunk of calcite was amazing. The last couple of your videos, I have thought, "how cool it would be if you used some of you music strategically, in the background." Like while you are paddling, driving or walking. It can really add dimension to your videos while getting your music out there. You could include links to the place to purchase the music. Nice finds buddy. I learnt how to crochet during lockdown. It was hard to watch these videos so I binged watched gilmore girls hahaha guilty pleasure but not much brain space was taken up 😁
Echinoids are my favorite fossil and everything around me is eocene, but we didn't have that landscape! I have to drive 4 hours to get to limestone! But I'll enjoy watching you find them instead for now... I'm NOT coping. My mother passed away a month ago and I'm not handling it well. Trying to still make videos and Do Stuff but I get too distracted while trying to edit. Isolation prior to her death was wearing on me but this is a whole new level of pain.
I love your channel, and have been following you ( and Paleo Chris!) for a long time. We are teardrop trailer manufacturers, you asked how we are doing in these times. Answer, not too badly, because camping is always something we all can do ( read, social distancing, but with fun and bonfires! And s'mores!) Wishing all the best to you and your buddies, we love all your channels!
Sooo, you asked how I cope with COVID-19 and isolation and the stress of late and all? I work for a hospital company with a bunch of nurses, and we all just got vaccinated because they come in contact with patients who're often sick with the virus, and I come in contact with them. So stress relief is pretty important. I live in AZ, so I hike in the desert as much as I can, go geocaching, rockhound, knap points out of obsidian, and take photos of Native American petroglyphs and ruins. I started making planted aquariums at the start of the whole COVID thing and was going to just do one, but they're addictive and now I have three. And I play with my pets (3 snakes, 3 bearded dragons, 5 ferrets, 2 desert tortoises (currently brumating) and 2 cats), cook (Japanese food is a fav), knit, sew masks and read a lot. ^_^ And then I go back to work. Gotta tell you, my RN coworkers are amazing; nurses are freakin' tough. Thanks for the great video, and thanks for asking! Stay healthy, okay? (Also, that piece of calcite, daaaaaaamn!)
Can't really go exploring here in Japan, so I'm coping with watching your videos

Honestly, I watch some of your videos to cope. They're extremely interesting and fun. Sadly, there isn't a whole lot of fossil hunting spots up here in Indiana but its cool to see all the awesome things you and Chris can find. I'm currently in an Intro to archaeology class in college and the artifacts that one can find, like arrowheads and spearpoints, are really fascinating. I am also taking a geology class next semester that is all about gemstones and I am so excited to learn more about that. My interest in all this kind of stuff is because of watching your videos these past couple of years.
