    I can't recall which video you mentioned this, but sharing my closet by size has been a GAME CHANGER! Until now, a very small % of my sales have been bundles, and I've had three in the two weeks since switching up my sidekick! My lil store is thankful for the excellent advice! 💚Keep it coming!

    Yes, Robert Graham is a BOLO and is especially known for wild prints and contrasting flip cuffs. Used to sell very fast for $50-100. Has gone down in the last year but is still worth picking up at the bins for sure! Thanks for another great video!

    So - I JUST saw this response today (sorry!), but I found that little fact as I was doing research on the brand while listing...as SOON as I saw that they were the shirts that Cam wore, it clicked into place in my head - They were so familiar, and that's where I know them from! He's one of my favorite characters in any show ever!!

    I found Judy blue flare jeans NWT at GW for $8. Sold in 2 days for $70 offer sent to me. They retail for around $80. Judy Blue only makes a certain amount of each style and sell out quickly so discontinued styles can sell for retail price.

    Newbie to the bins and reselling. (Still trying to learn before I list things - almost ready to jump in!! ). Friend is coming over in a week or so to help me with eBay. I went to the bins sat and found Judy Blue jeans and a Knox Rose boho kimono in xl/xxl among other things. Would not have known that kimonos were so popular if I didn’t watch your channel. I always find a nice cashmere sweater!!! lol Question - I found 2-3 items from Umgee and the laundry tags say the color will bleed. That makes me nervous!!! Have you had any issues with Umgee?? Thanks!!

  • @JMSquaredVintage

    @JMSquaredVintage

    2 ай бұрын

    First and foremost, welcome to the game! The one thing I can tell you is that you will CONSTANTLY be learning. There's always more to learn about fabrics, designers, trends, etc. etc. etc. There's never a day I go thrifting and don't learn something new. The Kimonos are amazing, but for other Knox Rose pieces, make sure to source low - they won't resell all that high. Judy blue, though - killer find! Hmm - on the Umgee pieces, I'm assuming that means that it's a deep dye and may not be SUPER colorfast (like, have you ever worn brand new dark jeans and white shoes or socks? - that indigo will always rub off a little the first wear). What I'd do is, JUST IN CASE, wash them separately, and wash them on as cold a cycle as you can (I'd do that with most Umgee pieces anyway- most pieces I've found have been rayon or rayon blend, and rayon is SUPER prone to shrinkage - when you see rayon on a content label, think zero heat. While Tencel is similar, it's slightly less prone, but just to be safe, anything with a fiber like that, Wash cold and hang dry).

    I appreciate your videos and info. I’m wondering what your thoughts are about buying items for your store in a different season. Meaning you pick up some thing that is more classically let’s say a winter item in July. Do you buy all season items all throughout the year is my question.

  • @JMSquaredVintage

    @JMSquaredVintage

    2 ай бұрын

    First off - thank you so much for the kind words! So - I don't have much of a choice here in California, as we're SUPER heavy in summer clothes all the time, so I do source high-quality summer all year long, but in general (and in my case, this is more of a winter clothing thing than it is a summer clothing thing) If I see an unbelievable sweater in the middle of summer, I'm going to grab it, but in general, if it's more of a bread and butter piece, I'll leave it behind. For my personal situation, it's a storage issue. I just don't have the space to store a ton of bulky sweaters until winter, but i do know of plenty of people who source for all seasons, all year long, in both special pieces and bread-and-butter, and just store things until it's time to list as the seasons are changing. So - whether it's a good idea or not really depends on your own storage situation and tolerance for the clutter as they stack up through the off season.

    The sticker on the Mink Pink dress...resellers like to tell people it is a dry cleaners tag. (they have no reason to put a permanent sticker on some's property)..it's not! I bought a final sale clearance item, and they put that on it Very strong adhesive used to mark clothing in a discrete, yet permanent way. I can see where that would benefit rent the runway too. You did score a lot of wonderful pieces this time, but seems to me that you usually do. Maybe not as stunning as that grand finale piece though.

  • @JMSquaredVintage

    @JMSquaredVintage

    Interesting! I've seen markers used to mark tags on final sale, and tags being cut out, but a permanent sticker is a new one, for sure - I can see it happening though! Another idea being thrown around is from laundry services - like, people who send out their laundry to be cleaned (regular laundry - not dry cleaning) - I can see that as well - I'd be pretty bummed if they were putting the stickers smack dab in the middle of the labels of my clothes though - at least put them on the back or more discretely along the edge... I am definitely fortunate with my local bins location - but this week was pretty amazing...and honestly, that gown..I swear the camera does not do it justice.
