Scat usually flies right down, perfectly vertical. So your intuition was correct! 😄
Did anyone notice around 8:40 ish when Noel points the camera at himself and the overhead PSU’s (passenger service units- reading lights, air vents etc) are visible …. The oxygen mask doors are TAPED SHUT! Unbelievably dangerous practices there. Rather than repairing a loose door that’s prone to opening on landing… they have taped them shut. In a decompression this could be fatal.

Actually, SCAT air is ok. I flew with it from Astana to Almaty this year and everything was fine. It departed and landed on time. The seats weren't great, but not that different from other cheap flights. Kazahstan is an interesting place to visit - huge distances, good standards of hotels and restaurants, reasonable prices and many things to see - especially in the south, where the mountains reminded me of the alps. Worked in Almaty for a year about 15 years ago, used to fly through FRA to get there: two flights a week on LH, Sunday and Wednesday. Arrived one Monday early morning but my bag didn't - never saw it again. LH gave me a Business Class amenity kit and EUR25 compensation, and my employer had to pay for a whole load of clothes to get me through the two-week trip. Happy days!
"That seats collapsed, that seat's collapsed, that seat seats collapsed, that ones collapsed, that ones collapsed, this ones broken, the arm rest is collapsed, up front, the two drunk pilots have had few too many and they've collapsed" lol.
@therealbettyswollocks
Жыл бұрын
Funnily enough, when I flew on SCAT twice, both times my seats were broken. The second flight was particularly bad as the seat back was literally hanging onto the base for dear life. On take off I had to physically sit forward as the back reclined of its own accord, and on landing I had to push back with all my strength as it was determined to plant my face into the seat in front, especially when the pilot planted it firmly and slammed the brakes on in Almaty.

I know the feeling. Way back in the eighties I travelled on a plane, from U.K to Italy. Cannot remember the model, but I have never seen anything like it. You had to bend down to get into your seat. Three tier seating, and your legs where almost into your chest. I think it was three hours to where I was going, and had to suffer this all the way.
No one in that airline naming meeting knew what SCAT meant? No one looked it up on the internet to check if there were any unfortunate meanings? I hope their diligence is better in safety than it was in naming…. On another note, flying scat sounds like another way to say ‘shxx storm’ lol
