I do have one that's been steadily worsening over the years, though when you live in Japan, you don't have much choice to get over it when flying home. In a strange way, the Cessna did actually help, as one of the key fears is the turbulence and honestly, I've never endured such a turbulent flight. "BON JOVI STYLE" "I don't know what he's on about" I know exactly what's he's on about. Natsuki is referring to a talkbox, an electronic sound effects pedal that can be used with electric guitars and also electric keyboards. It uses a rubber tube (similar to the water hose he's holding) to combine mouthed words/noises with the sound of the instrument. This effect was used in Bon Jovi songs such as "Living On A Prayer" and "It's My Life".

I'd say fear of turbulence is just kind of a lack of knowledge how planes operate, what they can withstand and how normal turbulence is.. I've had severe turbulence a few times, it was fun. The way I started learning about planes and how they are constructed and handle was when as a joke i started watching plane crash videos before my flights lol, after a while, you start to learn what to really worry about and what is completely normal

Natsuki is a rare combination of chaotic and wholesome energy.

Somebody's probably mentioned it already, but Natsuki's imitating a talkbox, a device that lets you modulate sound waves with the shape of your mouth by putting a plastic tube inside it. The tube runs to a device connected to your keyboard/guitar and an amplifier, and the result is that your instrument sounds like it's talking. The tube he's holding looks exactly like a talkbox tube -- same size, probably same material, just opaque instead of clear. It's used for the voice-like guitar riff in Livin on a Prayer, hence Bon Jovi.

A vocoder is entirely electronic - it takes one input from your instrument and another input from your voice (via a microphone) and returns output that makes your voice sound like that instrument. A talkbox has a mechanical component - your mouth. It uses the physical shape of the inside of your mouth to make the instrument sound like your voice.

Where did he get the idea that a cessna is dangeous lol. They are a dream to fly a child could do it. I've literally been instructed to deliberately power-on stall that airplane and failed to do it (it just kept flying at a high angle). As long as the weather is nice, and it looks nice, they're in no danger.

The cinematography alone is so far beyond the average KZread channel's standards, it's ridiculous how good your videos are getting. It's been a wild journey to watch you and your channel grow from the video of you playing that flip the table game to this is mind blowing man. Proud to be along for the ride keep at it my friend.

I have so much respect for Natsuki. He runs his own business and is just a genuinlely nice guy who only wanted to make a foriegner feel welcome in Japan. If there's any reason to visit Japan it would be for a chance to bump into him ^^

30:45 What Natsuki's doing actually makes sense. In the intro of Livin' on a Prayer from Bon Jovi, the weird vocal effect is done through an effect called a Talkbox. To operate a Talkbox, you need to basically sing into a plastic hose-like tube, which Natsuki is mimmicking at this timestamp.

I'm not even done watching this yet but the whole opening sequence with Natsuki was just amazing. The cinematography, tone, the lights... And then contrast that with Natsuki's just zany over the top response... Chef's kiss.

The production quality on this video is insane. You should be very proud of how far you've come, Chris, this is beautiful. Natsuki's intro is legitimate art, and does a great job of showing the human, every day side of a guy that we mostly get to see the funny, silly side of. I love travelling to Japan, and you do a great job of highlighting the beauty of the country and its people. Thank you guys for all your hard work and amazing content.

Good to see Norm was on the journey with you. He is always such a good camera man and is always conscientious of multiple cameras, views and shots. Glad to see he was able to join you yet again, though I wonder if he will ever be a guest on Journey Across Japan rather than the camera man? Anyhow, glad to see you handled the flight very well, honestly those planes are fun to fly in. I hope you didn't inhale to many sulfuric fumes, I love how the tables turned and scared Joey like that, he looked like he was going to mess himself. And yes, I am only halfway through the episode XP.

I just wanna mention how badass the camera men we're and not to mention how good the writing script\video effects are. Honestly, I just really enjoy this series and everyone whose involved in the production - The Cast themselves are some of the greatest parts, your all just to funny.

As a student pilot I can make you sure, Cessna is one of the most safe planes in the world... maybe. For now, I had experience only with Cessna(≧▽≦)

I can't wait to watch Chris and Joey act like absolute bellends on this journey with Natsuki providing comedic value.

For example, my little brother is named Michael but we've called him Mikey since he was three. If ever my mom said his full name, it was because he was in trouble. He has his friends call him Mike and as you said, if anyone uses his full name, it's to be comedically stern and formal.

The part with Natsuki's salon was amazingly cinematic. The losing of the pants and the Bon Jovi bath had me genuinely laughing, Natsuki's such a character. Love him.

It was a nice homage to when Joey said the same line during the first series.

It's like watching a BBC Documentary, a Comedy Show and an Adventure Vlog all at the same time!. Absolutely love the amount of effort you guys put into this. A treat for the senses. The opening Natsuki scene was like viewing a friggen movie. Top notch!.

This honestly made me laugh out loud, the comedic moments and beautiful production quality is a gem on youtube. I know I'm late to these videos, but with the past and current climate on uncertain travel restrictions, it feels like I'm travelling vicariously through you guys.

That was a totally beautiful and refreshing video. You guys had fun and really deserved the break from the city. I loved the fly over the beautiful Sakurajima. You two were really brave in the Cessna. Someday, someone will find Natsuki's pants :) Keep up the awesome content. Rock on !!

Finally! I was wondering when you guys will feature Yakushima Island~ It's in the TOP of my list of places I want to visit in Japan because of its ancient forest. It's truly beautiful. And I was really excited when the anpanman challenge of "Catch your own food" popped-up, I knew right away you guys were gonna go Fishing. The angler in me hopes to see you guys go fishing again. As for Natsuki's pirate pants, it will one day be discovered by historians and be part of the heritage treasures of Yakushima Island.

Chris your journey across Japan, with all three of you is a pure joy to watch and me as an aviation geek have to say, it's such a fun, to see you both being a bit scared - maybe nice to know, if you catch a sunny (bumpy) day with some "cloudy clouds" (cumulus) try glider flying!

hey Chris, what the guy was doing on the wing, he was checking how much gas he had in the Wing tanks (that's where most of the gas is put in). I have flown a twin engines Piper I had about 40 hours of cross-country flight training from Massachusetts, to PA, NJ, and VA. I used to live in NH but worked in Massachusetts for a small computer repair company back in early 1982-3, they sold CDC disk drives and printers that worked on Wang Labs mini computers and DEC PDP11 & VAX computers. our boss used to rent a plane to fly us to the place with the hardware (it was heavy, a 90 MB HD was 230#) it was cheaper to rent a small plane for 24 hours than to fly two people on a commercial flight & then rent a car, plus ship the Drive via truck it to the place.

Aren't fueltank indicators also really unreliable because they require the airplane to not be bumping up and down to give an accurate reading?

@@pr0v0cative4pple yes he is that is my 7 yr old boy Sulu! I saw George Takei at a star trek convention and told him & showed him that I named my Siamese Tuxedo after him he just loved it. Sulu is saying "Oh Myyyy" in that shot, LOL!!!

@@martijn9568 All I know is the Tanks on small plains you need to know how much fuel is in each wing to be balanced (equal amounts), it changes the Aerodynamics of the plane if it's unbalanced.
