Suggestion for engine experiments: how many turboprop engines does it take to power a 747?

An aircraft used by strategic military groups should have 4 engines instead of 2, so I'd just build one of the older models. If someone wants a 747 with GE90's, then they really need to get a 777 Oh wait this is Boeing we're talking about. Run!

6:28 the 747-200 in this scene is actually powered by 4x Pratt and Whitney JT9D engines, not the General Electric CF6.

In conclusion, the 747-200 can operate with 2 GE90 engines and this concept of Swiss001 should come to reality, then the Queen of The Skies will probably make a comeback. Boeing, please make this concept of the 747 into reality.

Try making it a Tri Jet like the Lockheed Tristar L-1011, the DC-10 and MD-11. I got this inspiration from Infinite Flight which had a 747 Trijet in a maintence bay.

in fairness the most powerful GE90 gives 15% more power still and would get you closer to that 270k figure, at 230k

747 but it has 777 engines

5:09 taking off without flaps is a challenge for 747 those ge90 engines are very powerful for 747 if you deployed flaps you would have flaps overspeeding

It's the only viable alternative but also it'd be a pain to service. A two-engine config on a 747 would essentially turn into a glider with as little as a single engine failure.
