There's a plate you can buy and it just makes the holes on the top smaller so nothing will ever fall into them or the fan

I bought the dust filters but I only installed the plastic pieces to cover the disc tray, usb, storage and power ports but other then that I don’t recommend you using the dust filters on you’re console while playing. Unless you have you’re console stored in a dusty are and is not in use or function then use the dust filters but when playing take them off

can you have the bottom fan on without the colors on? because i already have a seperate LED strip at the bottom of my series X

Yes they do!!!! Smart question, MORE of you should be asking this. It’s BASIC COMMON SENSE!! If you’re adding these screen vents onto your console geuss what?? You’re now DECREASING the amount of COOL air flow and making it HARDER for your console to work and stay cool. PUTTING THESE VENTS ON CAUSE YOUR XBOX TO RUN HARDER BECAUSE YOUR MAKING THE COOLING VENTS SMALLER WITH THESE STUPID PROTECTIVE SCREENS. God these companies make a KILLING SELLING THESE BS ACCESSORIES YOUR CONSOLES DONE NEED! The console MANUFACTURER already DESIGNED THE CORRECT WAY!

P.s. in the United States opening your console does NOT void your warranty as of 2020. However if you need to send your Xbox in for repair remove this LED kit.

dust filters only on intake fans never on exhaust you will block air and cause more dust to get trapped in the system.

Consider getting yourself a skyhook for overhead views which are needed sometimes when doing a disassembly. Otherwise excellent video. I will be doing a similar video with a hard wired LED in the top and bottom of the Series X.

Bro not sure what your talking about but removing that sticker doesn’t void warranty Microsoft made it easy to take back off so you can open and clean console!

The only thing that slightly “enhanced” it is the dust cover.

Never add dust filter on the top of the Xbox as that’s the exhaust fan. The back is fine, but 90% of the air intake comes in from the bottom of the Xbox. Yes, that’s open and nearly impossible to seal, but I’m sure someone will make a filter in the future.

@@Lalelulilo101 PC’s don’t have air filters on a Exhaust fans… only intakes. And Consoles are designed to NOT have any sort of Filter. Filters Make airflow worse on a Single fan console Which is designed in a certain way to maximise Air for cooling with zero Issues. Blocking that air Can make the system run hot or overheat. Especially if you block the exhaust fan. This person is Correct with what they are saying. You just don’t understand what YOUR talking about

@@ARXInfinite First of all, if PCs have them on intake fans, and by his meaning that those filters STOP airflow then that would make PCs overheat as the airflow would not GET INTO the PC. So maybe you should understand how airflow works. Secondly I have a dust filter on mine by Mcbezel, I've had it on since day 1 and I am currently in a very hot heatwave.. guess what? 8 hours of playtime 0 heat issues. So unless you have one and experience with them on a console don't say anything.

@@Lalelulilo101 your just proving that you have no idea what your talking about. Pc uses Standard Airflow config. Series X for example uses a Custom Configuration So air is exhausted In a wide path. Obstructing this Designed path will cause issues.

Hi ,I just started playing video games 10 yrs , two reason for my return is Xbox cloud game pass and SNOWRUNNER, finally find a game that I'm into , unfortunately I don't have actual console, I play thru the the cloud and on my Huawei MediaPad T5 , and I need the big screen experience ,so I watched videos and was told the Google Chromecast with game pass side loaded is perfect, well it is even worse, So I bought a 70$ Chromecast with Google tv ,, I really can't afford a console now forsure ,, Àny chance u know a way I can mo mirror without the delay from controller to gameplay, ,?or any ideas ? Playing on the Chromecast the picture freezes up 5 seconds after but the gameplay continues ,you can hear the sounds , still hear the engine revs with. Every squeeze of the throttle trigger, so just the picture freezes..any ideas?

This is such a gimmick for flashy lights... And you reduce air flow 🤦‍♂️

You can actually get this really cool extra top fan with a dust filter it just clips on top of the Xbox series X has led lights around it the filter would help from dust a little bit but the holes are not to small witch is a good thing I think and the extra fan had 3 speed mods there kinda louder on the highest speed on the lowest you don't even notice it and the LED lights can change a bunch of colours or if you hold it in it can change colours every few seconds

@@BR-jc6rs it's literally made of the Xbox series X and it doesn't spin the fan backwards it literally spins the same way as the normal Xbox fan dose I've did research and it won't do any harm

@@BR-jc6rs I read that it was safe from Microsoft site it recommends using a top cooling fan system if you plan to use your console for hours at a time I'm thinking about getting the g-story brand cooling fan it even shows you the temperature and turns on and off when not needed

Actually bought and removed those same vents. Horrible reviews, over heats xbox and just not the best to block them whatsoever.
