Welcome back all,
In this weeks video I give my Mk4 Fiesta van some much needed love and replacement parts. These parts were advised on the MOT last year, however up until this video, I hadn't replaced any of them! Thanks to the help of AUTODOC I changed both lower suspension arms, links and the track rod ends. I also replace many other parts in this video to get my van roadworthy again and therefore fly through its annual MOT!
I must admit the feeling of driving my Mk4 Fiesta van again, is great! I've missed this little beast and it's great to be blasting around in one of my favourite vehicles in my fleet. Next up for the van is a slight bit of bodywork!

Absolutely. I even go as far as I throw nothing away without stripping it for nuts, bolts, screws etc. some say I’m a hoarder (my mrs), I say I have the nuts for any situation 😅
A few nice little job sorted mate, keeps it right 👌 not a thing wrong with those rear tyres, like you said..nothing to worry about 👍
Great video as always Mitch! Love your enthusiasm and love for this old Fiesta van!🙂 But I'm glad you're using the foam knee pad as u wanna keep your knees good m8!
Hard work pays off Mitch. Good lad
I enjoy watching your videos bro, keep up the good work respect from up north 👊
Love the older cars and vans a joy to work at

You only get around 7mm on a new tyre so to be advising purely on wear with 5mm is dodgy practice in my view
Good work Mitch, Yeah same here with the nuts and bolts I have a tin of them in the shed too haha 👍 Strange advisory for those rear tyres literally nothing wrong with them
Great little van that pal.
Great to see the the Van get a refresh, I always enjoy myself is putting new tyres on. " FORD" 💯❗❗❗
Lovely old job Mitch
You are the nicest guy 😊
one trick i do, the night before, get the black aerosol out + paint the bare bits on the new parts, look much better in a months time nah, that bottom arm oddity would kill me... if my apprentice left a wiper arm vertical with no blade on, i would kick his arse right across the workshop floor, it's so easy to crack a screen if it drops, seen it a few times now... keep it up young man [your tester was taking the piss with the tyres, using your car to balance up his figures perhaps?]
Love this content. Nothing wrong with those tyres, Mitch. Guessing you're going to source some Ford dealership branded plates...?
Wouldn’t be using that mot place again myself after that… dealer plates would look the beans on this
MOT guy must have been high 😂
Offside front lower arm was definitely needed for sure, near side defo maybe too cause of the bush? The track rod ends and defo links were a little unnecessary but at least you’re through (tyres shouldn’t even be advised lol)
Great stuff, thats a strange on on the tyre advisory right enough, van looking good, best wishes.
Great job there, Mitch, love the vid mate ;)
Zetec s it on exterior. Would look the beens !!
Nice van lose the tow bar !!
Nice 1 bro thats a crackin van
Nice video dude 😉😎
I think I saw you yesterday morning on the A414 about 5.45am I was in my escort van
Nice one Mitch
Good stuff, you never seem to grease any bolts or threads,,, cmon. Give the next guy that fixes it a chance
total agree with the tyres, I was a tester also... but your hand break looks high ? or it could how the camera picked it up, good vid again thanks
Nice mate , , Love these type videos,
Are those engines good on fuel?
Taking the piss with they tyre advisory. I'd appeal this as it's clearly wrong.
Great video, thanks. Agree only use nyloc nuts once. Iv'e got one or two tins of nuts and bolts as well.
In N.S.W we have a yearly registration inspection for light vehicles over 5 years and my 1997 Toyota Hilux has had two fails both to do with the exhaust system l obviously have pre inspection work on it and that pesky number plate light well since the number plate is attached to a metal plate which bolts to the aluminium tray and it was an absolutely terrible job l have done on the Hilux ute something to do with aluminium and steel but l fitted an LED number plate light also the front end maybe original the only work l have done on the front end is replace the disc brake pads but getting back to the Ford Fiesta we bought one brand new and it turned out to be an absolute piles of crap and even my wife said she would never ever buy one or any European or British car and l will never buy any European or British car l will stick with the reliable Japanese brands and we also own a Suzuki Baleno as for comparing tbe Ford Fiesta to my Toyota Hilux the Hilux is 50 times better than that awful Ford Fiesta was because the air conditioning works l can drive it over speed bumps gutters pot holes without putting dents in tbe front wheels and it has done 437000 kilometres on the ultra reliable 22R engine and 5 years ago l paid aud $1500 much cheaper than the awful Ford Fiesta which was 10 times more and we put up with the dreadful Ford Fiesta for 10 years and sold it to a wrecker for aud $500 because it was due for its rego check and it developed an oil leak and l couldn't find it so happy to see that pile of junk Ford Fiesta go honestly it was absolute worst car we have ever bought and we owned a Ford Festiva and it was a very good car until it got stolen we got it back and my brilliant 1997 Toyota Hilux is worth now aud $5000 to aud $6000 which has appeared over 150% because this is Australia were older Toyotas and Lexuses appreciated
as a engineer for 42 years never use a nyloc nut or even a split pin twice...................golden rule
