I did it! I finished the first section of the 24,000 piece puzzle! Let m know what you think and if you have any questions for the next video in this series. I know the focus got a little funky on some of the time lapses, so I'll definitely be fixing that for next time 🧩

I am a 73-year-old retiree who loves to watch you put together your puzzles. And I have found some of your tips very useful. I also have a tip to share: when I have pieces that don’t hold together to move sections around I use a metal pancake turner to scoop up a section and move it. That seems to work well for me. FISH!

I have a beautiful scene of the Brooklyn Bridge against the New York City Skyline at night from Eurographics, it is 1000 pieces, I was so excited when I bought it. The edging & the first 2/3 of the puzzle were difficult but doable and still fun. then the last 3rd was just the sky at night with varying shades of black & grey & on top of that all the pieces are identical, I lost total interest after a while because it was taking so long to fit a single piece. My Husband & I started it July 14, 2020, as a date night for our wedding anniversary during quarantine & it remains unfinished to this date (May 31, 2021) with about 10% left & no real desire to finish. What is worse is that I bought two other almost identical puzzles from Eurographics of Chicago & Seattle skylines AT NIGHT and I now totally regret it. Maybe someday New York will be complete but I doubt the other two will even make it out of the box.

I know this project was a year ago, but somehow it just came across my youtube. My sweet mother was truly the puzzle lover in our family. As she aged she lost a lot of her sight to macular degeneration and could no longer work on puzzles. But she would continue to buy them so that when my husband and I and our twins would go to visit her (which was 5 out of 7 nights usually), we could have puzzles to put together. My son and I were the ones who enjoyed it the most. My mom passed away in August 2021, but I have all of the puzzles that she kept for us now. My kids are 20 years old and we still like to puzzle together and remember how much happiness it brought my mom to watch us. This project you took on was truly remarkable! I am enjoying the videos and you did an amazing job explaining everything. I've subscribed and look forward to keeping up with new puzzle adventures.

This is honestly so impressive! I’m most in awe of your patience with sorting. I normally start sorting but then I’m itching to start putting pieces together so I kind of abandon the initial sorting before I fully finish it. I like how you wanted to start with the Fish but then said “actually no, the hot air balloons”, and then “actually no the sky” and then “actually no the animals”. Very relatable haha. Take a much needed break and then I look forward to seeing you do the other sections!

This is absolutely amazing! I admire your dedication to organizing and constantly sorting pieces. I literally had my mouth open and kept saying "wow!" out loud. It looks like that extra piece that doesn't fit this section might go to the galaxy portion of the other side of the puzzle. I love how your sister is just as excited about this as we are! Thanks for the stats and updates! I can't wait to see more! I love the tape idea!!! The FISH was my favorite part!

I recently watched a video of an opera singer reacting to a music video. Her excitement when describing the techniques and abilities of the group was infectious. She clearly was gifted with her music knowledge and she was able to describe the techniques in everyday words. She appreciated their skill, despite the style being nothing like her own. She praised and clapped and gasped. It was just a joy to be able to see someone be so excited for others. We need people like that in our corner But. We should also think like that about ourselves, see our abilities and talents as valuable. Be excited enough that others catch the joy. That’s why I love watching Karen. Her joy of the process and excitement of the progress. Her passion for a hobby that is little understood for the pleasure it brings. Thank you Karen for yet another awesome video. Take care of yourself though, this is a marathon not a sprint. We will be in the stadium enjoying your progress on screen until waiting for you to cross that finish line.

I literally watched this twice back to back. I love her. Been recommending her to all my friends. I love how she talks strategy with her puzzles, I have definitely used her sorting strategies on puzzles I've done. Love that she just films her time laps and just lets the music play in the background so satisfying. Especially when she zooms in and shows her just clicking pieces in one after another. I can't wait to see more.

So many FISH! I just finished the whole dang video. What an awesome job! It was really fun and relaxing to watch your time lapse close ups of you putting in the different pieces. This puzzle is really fun to just look at. It's so funny that you ended up with a random extra piece. It will be amazing if you end up needing it for one of the other sections, but what would the odds of that be. I also really loved your method for putting it all up. So smart and economical. I don't have any requests for the next one, if it's like this one it'll be just as fun.

I love to see your videos, I'm assembling a 3000 piece puzzle and watching your videos. In my puzzle, there is no FISH, just a huge map of the Earth from 1570. I started getting into puzzles a year ago, and I started it because of you and now I am in love. My first puzzle was a 1000 piece but I never finished it, it was too hard for me, but now a year later I'm sitting here above a 3000 piece one, so I would definitely say that you got better over the years and that's why you finished so much faster than 10 years ago! :)

This was so so good. The edit was absolutely stellar! I've seen other people tackle huge puzzles on youtube, but they're generally not youtubers, so it's just the one camera time lapse setup, which is still great and thoughtful cause we get to see the puzzle being put together, but Karen's format is a whole new level of satisfying. I'm looking forward to the next FISHy installments :D
