I've been running Main DPS Faruzan for the better part of a year now. Her kit and cooldowns line up so well to make a character that is so satisfying to play. I especially love using her that way in co-op where I don't have to swap off of her. And to top it off, she actually does a decently competent amount of damage on her own compared to a lot of the "support as DPS" characters.

It's refreshing to see content where someone is experimenting during the video instead of just showing polished end results. Great vid, thanks for sharing. I love Faruzan and have been curious about her viability as an on-field DPS.

Pretty much agree with your take on spiral abyss being a timed challenge. Especially when a lot of the enemies have long invurnerability phase, i mean come on, most characters have like 1,5 to 2 seconds worth of i frame from burst animation, and like 2 dashes in a row

I feel that the (land) local legends would be great as a rougelike level boss and could make some good end game content would do it for faming xp/mats/gold

the weekly boss part is so relatable, it literally took me 9 weeks to get triple drops ONCE from the narwhal

The controversy (and fun) of Faruzan is that she becomes "DPS-material" earlier, than a support. It is well agreed that her peak support potential is her C6, but at the same time, she can play DPS/crowd control role with her C1 or Sacrificial bow much earlier. Being an anemo user, she is also capable of buffing herself, much like Ganyu. The only real problem with her is that her E have very, very strange targeting. If you tried to blow the barrels or crates with her E, you may have seen it. And it also applies for combat situations, sometimes her E just don't do any damage at all.

Ty very much for the video! I love ranged charged attack characters i m infact a tighnari and ganyu main since d1 and don t know why i didn t try this untill now. I cleared with 36 stars the abyss easily at first try and i t s crazy because i have her auto attack talents still at lvl 1. Also i have Jean C4 and i LOVED faruzan furina Jean fischl. Guys don t do my mistake give this team a try faruzan c6 Is so fun and strong It s crazy. Ty again soluna without you i surely would have missed this team forever and now Is One of my favorites

It should be pretty easy to play around with teammates too. For on field Faruzan I wouldnt want to lose Furina at least, but Bennett and Fish are options such that she should have lots of team options to DPS her (on field or otherwise)

Just dont forget theres a lot of flexibility for her build options when you have her C6! 4pc MH with Furina is by no means necessary, just a fun use case for her

I just got my C6 Faruzan from pulling Xianyun and Nahida and I was debating on getting Xiao now bc I also have Furina, but F that after completing my Gaming build Faruzan is getting her upgrade😂

Nice. Since I don't have her C6 and no Ganyu she is my only option for a sniper bow on field. Thank you!

Feel free to let me know how it works once you get her built! Im really not sure if doing this same style of build will be as good as it is without a lot of ER. But honestly I think even just using Fav bow instead of a DPS bow may make it work without C6

For the skill cooldown you can use skill burst the two charge attacks and you would have skill again

Faruzan DPS FTW, I am also very glad you didn't cut the parts of you fighting the local legends out, it was genuinely funny and exciting to watch you struggle a bit before you eventually overcame him. Funnily enough I also have a DPS faruzan built and it was all thanks to another "meme" build I had on my Zonglie: I mained mono geo since ittos release and while Bennett and zonglie were pretty close in that team zonglie freeing me from circle impact was enough for me to get him + the cool meatballs ult he has. So I decided that I would build him on 4 ToM in hopes I get 100k meatballs with guros buffs alone which I did even though it was overall less team DPS because Itto lost buff uptime. All that was fun and good till Furina C1 came out and well.... It's just better than zonglie there sadly, thankfully though last banner I got Faruzan C6 and managed to just switch the ToM zonglie pieces to her. With a fav bow (65% rate 130% Cdmg) she is comfortable hitting 100k burst in my xiao team with Cloud retainer and Furina and ofc casual 40-50 pulses Tldr: building a DPS ToM on Zonglie who got Benched was worth it for Faruzan DPS at the end

Faruzan has been avoiding me like the plauge ive been stuck at c4 for ages 😭 i got 4 early wanderers before getting her up to c3, got a random one from standard, and didnt get a single one from the Xianyun banner i am once again praying for a bette 4* system

Benito you can use energy recharge, life and healing bonus; I saw they used this way with furina

My Faruzan shaves off half of anything I fight with her E, it's very fun

You could have gone double pyro to get extra atk% to boost Faruzans damage. Tenacity Xangling to give extra atk with Guoba skill.

Yeah thats true, theres plenty of additional options I couldve done in the flex slot. I tend to not consider XL as an option other than if I need her pyro application to enable something else though haha

Been using dps Faruzan for the past few weeks after I got her c6 lol. Not particularly on purpose. I wanted her c6 for dps Lynette, but I also need c6 Lynette to actually main dps her, which made me use Faruzan more onfield. She's actually pretty fun because of the short cd on her skill! Hopefully Lynette comes back on Arlecchino's banner so I can try her c6. I technically have XIao, but I'm determined to bench him for Lynette with Xianyun ;)

Here i am again Sorry but this Is relevant so i found out the following: for the peoples that would play faruzan carry with dendro, play faruzan furina fischl and baizou. Testing It i noticed something, fischl Is normally un unreliable source of hyperbloom because of oz targeting BUT in this case faruzan' s charged shot suck up seed that means that Oz's small aoe Attacks are actually capable of both dealing damage to the enemy and proc seeds for hyperbloom

Everyone saying c6 Faruzan is purely support but also say that she has energy issues. Well, Faruzan at c6 was probably intended to be a main dps. On field Faruzan also helps her energy issues alot. Just like c6 Xianyun, most of thier cons encourages on field play. And c6 Xianyun is a main dps. Rather than anemo shred, she does team wide healing. I am currently building a Faruzan, Furina, Fishl, and Xianyun team. Bennett and circle impact would just make make it a massive hassle since you'll want to charge and strafe around to stay alive and not get interrupted. I'd use Xianyun instead for faster fanfare stacks, tankier team, anemo resonance, and more anemo particles for Faruzan burst spam. It just all works perfectly.

C6 Xianyun isn’t at all necessary to DPS her. I made a video about that. But yeah, they definitely intended Faruzan to be a competent DPS in general, but decided it was too strong to offer without C6 I guess. Any good teams utilize the “main” dps to have interactions with the other teammates such that they can deal with many more situations imo. This is why Faruzan with Fischl/Furina was able to get through Wenut. Obviously Faruzan contributed way less dmg against Wenut directly due to its anemo resistance, but Faruzan was still relevant to use to get dmg by swirling electro and triggering Fischl A4 more. Which is to say Faruzan still indirectly caused extra dmg to happen, so even in a worst case scenario for anemo dps, I managed to clear. If you are talking about the Rocky fights for the last showcase, I had to dodge not to die lol. There was no timer so that was the priority. I ultimately left the Rocky arc in because it was fun, not that it was the best showcase of the team

Faruzan becomes more of a main dps at c1 since it gives two charges, for example. If you do swirl to boost electro and hydro during wenut, you just made Faruzan into another Kazuha... that's not main dps. Anemo resistance yeah but if you are *trying* to showcase main dps... She gotta be the main dps! Breh. Fighting Rocky was a perfect chance to showcase onfield faruzan; no anemo resistance and he is tanky to show dmg output. But like you said Faruzan doesnt snapshot and you kept getting hit, running around, letting all your sub dps die.. etc.. Overall.. very poor showcase. Yes, I didn't put the video on the side as background noise. Yes, I paid alot of detail. Y'know why? People are always building characters the same way when they are wasting thier actual true potential. That's why when you see the recommended artifacts in game it's always pure support Faruzan. They blindly follow builds and don't get that thier c6 some other character can be played/utilized way differently.

@@Solunerra Simple, just by being a bow unit that wants you to cycle through their bursts, skills and charged shots as fast as possible without focusing too much on the other is easily more interactive than Ganyu. As an example, Lyney's might be slower compared to Tighnari or Faruzan, but his burst nor his skill should never be ignored making him closer to Tighnari for his potential to quickswap. Compared to Ganyu where her best teams are just two charged shots while standing there.

Yeah i feel the same i m a top 1% ganyu in akasha and i main her still since her first banner but in 3.8 i Lost my 50 50 to tighnari and his quickswap gameplay and his team rotation make him so much fun to use also i feel like faruzan c6 tighnari and liney are less punishing than ganyu c0 because when you do damage in her melt team you need to be really precise with the timings or you miss a lot of her damage. Surely that Is vali for c0 ganyu but when you re playing c6 It s different and a lot more fun imo. P.s. i really think that ganyu C6 and C2 might be swapped because C6 is borderline useless without the second charge of the skill and in the meantime will make ganyu so much fun and a lot more affordable

Honkai Impact instead of HSR? I don’t plan to, sorry, I can only stand playing so many gachas lol. I occasionally stream and post my thoughts about HSR (I streamed sparkle summons a few days ago and tested a bunch of stuff there) on my discord server, but I’ve never the motivation or ideas to make content on HSR past that
