I Finally Listen to Man Of The Year! - Dance Gavin Dance

Музыка

After many comments suggesting I give this song I try I thought it was only fair to listen and give it a ago. Even checked out a live version at the end to see what the fuss was all about.

Glad you really dug this one, Man of the Year is one of their best songs imo. Gotta recommend Philosopher King and Here Comes the Winner, two more bangers that really show off the whole bands skill.

@@MetalHeavyLuis well tree city sessions is a live stream concert they put on a couple months ago and compiled an album out of the concert itself. So the recorded audio is all the band performing live but obviously some more live fine tuning was done that in your average live gig. But man of the year tree city sessions 2 live music video. Really shows these guys in action with decent quality

Great vid man. If you're keen to hear more from them I still think you'll dig "Philosopher King". Also: sorry man whoever recommended the live version should've specified the Tree City Sessions 2 version (2021) - they filmed it on a bridge at night and it had fantastic production values so it makes for a wicked experience.

Thanks man I definitely will give that a listen aswell. And funny story! I actually did watch that one straight after this one and it was really good and cinematography speaking was great! Didnt show any of that footage cos i thought i should go with the actual live, no studio interference, no post production, just raw sound and i was very impressed with the vocals there aswell. New found respect definitely thoroughly enjoyed recording this video 🙌🏻🤘🏻

Listen to Royal Coda - We slowly lose hope for things to come. The singer Kurt Travis was in Dance Gavin Dance for 2 albums. The guitarist is Will from DGD. 2nd guitarist Sergio Medina from Sianvar / Stolas (touring bass for DGD recently) And on drums Joe Arrington from A Lot Like Birds. Check them out ❤

Tilian's voice is a bit like Marmite. You either love it or hate it. This is personally my favourite song ever and his voice got better since the previous album with We Own The Night on it, but I understand that it's not for everybody.

when i was younger around the time these guys came out (they had a different singer back then) i wasnt a fan of the singing like Tilian's. One of the first bands i got into that singer would get real high is A Skylit Drive. i remember the first time i heard them (cant remember what song) i asked my friend "who's this chick singing?" He replied "its not a chick. its a guy" Michael Jagmin is his name. Maybe check them out sometime. i know you'll love the band. Oh and i dont know if anyone has mentioned this to ya but DGD has like every album theyve released in instrumental versions 👍🏼
