I Finally Have Rabbits Again
It has taken a very long time but I finally found some good pedigree rabbits and I now have rabbits again. I need some help naming them for the pedigree so please leave a comment below letting me know what you think they should be named.

Thank you for watching. Glad you got something useful out of the video.
I am excited that your rabbitry is finally full again! Mine is too! I am excited to conserve the heritage breed rabbits as well. I went with pedigreed Americana and Creme d’Argents. I love the idea of sticking with “outer space” names for your Silver Foxes, lol! Can’t wait to start breeding this fall as I am sure you are too.

I am definitely ready to start breeding again. And congrats on filling your rabbitry as well. You should do a video and show them all off. :)
Hey Chris! So glad to see you have rabbits again! This video made my morning for sure. I think Coal could be a cool name for one of the bucks. I had a silver fox doe last year, hands down best doe I've ever had.

Buck 1: Orion Buck 2: Pluto Buck 3: Venus (Keeping that celestial/star theme going 😉)
Chris, happy to see your back in the Rabbitry business. I have a small Rabbitry, as a beginner, with one buck and two doe. All Silver Fox. One of my does is young and is all blue. Excited about that. I’m going to need another buck. If you have one to sell, since I live just south of you in Kansas, OK, I’d like to work with you on a purchase and would enjoy meeting you. I’m in Joplin a lot since a couple of my doctors are there. Let me know what you think.
Here's to hoping for a new rabbit series!

Thank you so much for watching the videos. Hope you get the info you need.
A friend has hutches like yours & has a dangling hook at the top of the cage to hold the door open. It's a soft S or Z shape & made of flat strip steel so the rabbit absolutely cannot snag or impale itself. Don't know what they are called, but they hold the door up, freeing both your hands. Very nice accessory. Congratulations on your new rabbits & your excitement is contagious. Thanks for the video, Mr. Chris, and all the help you are to us. May God bless your day.

I have seen those. I usually just clip the door to the top of the cage with the clasp i use to keep it closed. But those would be more handy indeed.
Enjoyed meeting you at Quailcon!! We are your neighbors from TN. Here are some name suggestions: Buck (1) Sterling Buck (2) Ozark Doe Indigo

Good luck with the Silver Fox. I always had problems getting the girls to breed. But the buck knew what to do! They were always friendly though. Now have a New Zealand Red buck and mostly barnyard mix does and all is well. They live in tractors and are very healthy.

I love the Blue Silver Fox. We have one that's ready for breeding soon. Looking forward to seeing if we get more Blues. We have Silver Fox and Black and Blue New Zealands. I like both breeds. Good luck they all look great.

I enjoyed your video, thank you so much. I live on the other side of Missouri SEMO area. I raise everything you raise. Quail, NZ rabbits, Californian they are the meat and potatoes and SF Rabbits they are just a hobby. I find SF is a little harder to raise, maybe it’s just my breed, I’ll be waiting on some more info on the breed. I would like to find some with papers.

So, would you call those Jumbo Celadon fur quail? 😁🤣 Buck #1 looks like an Orion, Buck #2 looks like a Ganymede (one of Jupiter's moons) The un-named doe looks like a Nebula.
The Blue doe could be called Azula. Azul means blue in spanish. Jamaica chiming in. So happy you have rabbit again. Stay well.

I'd love to buy some silver fox from you? Is that an option? I'm in KC MO. Could make a vacation out of it and hit Branson too!
My does names are Heidi and Uschi. My bucks name is Doodle 🤣. My does are silver fox too, but I always need the "car trick" to mate them. However, they are GREAT moms. Uschi nurses several times a day, thus her babies are growing faster then Heidi´s. You have picked the right kind of rabbits!

Hi Chris! Can you do a video on why you chose Silver Fox? I'll be getting rabbits in a season or two and still can't narrow down which breed I want. I want a gentle meat breed but also want a decent (if not prime) fur at butchering age.

Hey Chris, congratulations on the new rabbits ✊🏾 Question: What size pen does one need for grow outs once they’ve the kits been weaned?
@Slightlyrednecked
Жыл бұрын
It depends on how many you have and how fast they are growing. I have standard 30 by 36 cages and use them for my grow outs up to 8 weeks. If they are growing out slower, I break them up in to groups of 4 or 5 at the most and it works just fine.

been a while since I've gotten to watch you so I don't think its fair for my name suggestions to be a priority but a female could be Mary Poppins and a male Pillsbury dough boy .......... male johnny hopper, poper ..... thinking family friendly but hopeful adultly childish names as to their job descriptions. buns, as in buns maker. on another note... I can't remember you talking about it and I might have missed talking about it but have you seen the cage wire nest box that hangs under the cage and the rabbit goes down into it like a burrow? I've seen it and seemed to work for the people.
