    I think it’s important to see bikes ridden in the bad weather and the bad roads as well. If they perform well there, then you know they are good. But don’t get me wrong, I would love to be invited to a nice warm country to review a bike but my channel is not quite there yet. Many more subscribers required. The joys of not being an attractive female. 😂. Just joking. Hopefully one day. 👍

    Hello from Australia. I bought one of the CFMOTO 800MT's that were used as track-official bikes at the MotoGP with 300kms on it. I got it in January and I've popped 6000kms so far. I love it - it's comfortable, fast, handles incredibly well and despite my constant scrutiny, I can't fault the build quality. My 2014 Triumph Bonneville just doesn't get a look in any more.

    Hello again mate from Australia. Mate I really felt for you and the weather, your a real magnet , when last saw you it was raining. Good on you for doing the job and staying positive. Me, I like the entry level model as an all-rounder, the weight is a heft, it is an impressive machine, but I am if those who is not keen on tall and heavy, nor do I need the power. I had a chance on a 450 Himmie, out in the environment I ride in , back roads dirt, forest and trails, nothing to over the top, camping, did it in the weather you just experienced, as a new bike to me, we gelled if you like, so its a matter of horses for courses, so now I have to save me pennies, I am told I should try the 450 M T from CF Moto, so we will see. Once again mate well done, as a long suffering moto vloger, its not all beer and skittles, cheers.

    Picked up my CF 21:21 700MT yesterday, tried the 800 and it was just too tall and chunky for me and what I needed.Tried the Voge 525 and that was just a little too buzzy for me and again my needs. Tried the Benelli 702 and that surprised me and took me into the 700 range however appearance wise it looked rough around the edges. 2 clinchers for me is the silencer down low so as not to intrude on the pannier space and the other a centre stand which for some strange reason the 700MT does not have 🤬

I don’t think they will sell many here until they’re sit around, become non current models, and then offered at a deep discount. Nice review. Nice bike, no doubt. What strikes me, however, is the remark at 12:50, about the u-turn. You seem to make the capability of making a u-turn to be a function of body height? Sorry, wasn't the essence of u-turns that you do not touch the ground. How then would height matter?

  • @GillyBikes

    @GillyBikes

    2 күн бұрын

    For test purposes yes the idea is not to touch the floor. But in reality performing a tight u-turn with a heavy bike can often cause people to drop their bikes. I’ve seen it happen quite a few times. Being small is definitely an issue for this. If you happen to lose balance and go to put your feet down to steady the bike, it’s much more difficult to do on tip toes it’s very easy to lose it and end up laying it down. If you’re taller and flat footing a bike with both feet you are less likely to drop it.

    @@GillyBikes Frankly, am I daft? What you describe, is an apparent lack of technique, which makes you paddle through the turn. Obviously, the inseam-challenged may face a problem, or two. But making a proper u-turn is exactly what those people should learn to make their lives easier. At 6'7", I never have a need to paddle my way through a u-turn. Side note: isn't riding circles and eights part of standard motorcycle instruction world wide? Why then are so few people capable of doing so?

I now know from a very short ride if the seating position is one that I would suffer with or not. If the seat, legs, foot placement and back are in a good position I know. The same way I know a sports bike I can ride for about 30 minutes without getting wrist ache and back ache. I now exactly what riding position suits me. However I will say we are all different shapes and sizes so what I find comfortable may not be for someone else. I’m at an age now were I find the riding position of adventure bikes just suits me.

    Like all bikes it will depend on how well they have been serviced & looked after by their owners ,as to what mechanical & cosmetic condition they after 3 years ownership & use . A heavy bike can be a good thing , it will be more planted on the road , especially in strong winds & motorways . Also it can mean the frame is made out of proper strong steel & not light alloy which can crack easily & also go oval where the steering head bearings are seated on lighter alloy frames . I suspect that the only reason people may not buy them is more due to their misconceived snobby pretentiousness , & their need to be seen to be riding a big brand name like their equally snooty pretentious peers .
