SS Red was the first pokefair i ever got to 5/5 way back before grid expansions were a thing, when they announced they would do them i was excited to see what he'd get and now i feel like i wasted those candies. I would have preferred Red got a 2/5 3/5 expansions, those types of grid expansions almost always are much better than the 4/5 5/5 grids

for me my first 5/5 limited sync pair is Sygna suit Blue. I rlly happy with this update since i still used him as my second pokemon. I rlly love used this for supporting my champ bede and serena

Same, well almost Leaf was my 1st but back then less tech units to invest candies in lol. At the very least impervious would've been nice so he doesn't get any stat debuffs, and its the same energy as stats quo 4. About as disappointing as Leaf's 5/5 grid when that happened.

Lucky enough to have stumbled into 5/5 on my fave pokémon before grid expansions happened. Glad to have Blastoise maxed out without having to consider opportunity cost.

It really depends what you’re doing with him. I have a Rain Grid, a Full Tank Grid, an offense Grid, and you could now do separate buffing grids even (I always try to leave a slot open for a custom grid in case I need it). Triage tank, fist bump, pep rally, trainer move MP refresh, and wise entry are always good picks. X defense all MPR, grand/fierce entry, and any of the rain nodes are all good but situational. He’s a jack of all trades unit (in a good way) but leans more towards defensive buffs. Even water pulse is potentially useful on non-hydro canon teams because if you spam it you’ll eventually confuse.

Ehhh... not really, I feel no need to change my grid, impervious would've at the very least been good instead of stats quo 4. No real buffs, and propulsion 9 is fine... but would've been better on a move instead of his tm you only use once or twice, or if balancing is an issue then propulsion 8 on heatwave and blast burn.

I got SS Red on his first banner before sync grids were introduced I got him 5/5 on hard pity and when they released news about grids i got excited about him becoming more meta only to be disappointed with lack of power ups and now they did it again which is disrespectful.

Yeah same, well Leaf 1st because back then less special tech units to invest candies in. Though yeah, impervious at the very least could've been nice, same energy as stats quo 4, and then means no debuffs to any stat, bare minimum that would've been nice. Propulsion 9 should've been on heat wave or blast burn, I don't think it'd be too over powered if it was since he has been surpassed by other fire units since, or maybe 8 to "balance" him out, then yeah brain teaser, especially if they made it closer than Haymaker without having to go through nodes for Flare Blitz.

well hell yea, Leaf actually rlly great at tht time i remember i crazily happy back at tht time for get her in first summon. But now she’s no longer tht great bcs her frenzy plant sometimes missed and if we used all those trio then it’s speed actually kinda terrible since those three strongest move actually waste 4 energy bar so i think better never ever used those 3 at same team better used speedy pokemon bcs leaf and blue pretty slow. If u ever play at first anni then u shoulda know back at first anni those three top tier but now Leaf and Red actually pretty useless due to more strong move in the future while we all know Red sacrifise defense for power up. Leaf pretty weak now and she need accompany by SS morty and SS Lyra if u want a stronger Leaf. I wish Leaf got huge debuff bcs she’s crazily useless now but maybe debuff can bring back her glory just like old time

@@florcheditsfx She's still super good, just don't use her as an attacker. I never use frenzy plant, toxic razor leaf, debuffs all defenses and attacks, refresh and enhanced potions, then refresh on her TM. I use her, Red, and Blue together, and they still do solid, but yeah of the 3 Red needed the most help, and didn't get it. Blastoise also makes up for the speed with the TM, which now also adds speed thanks to a sync node, Red maxes his speed in his own TM, and I make up for Leaf's lack of speed with lucky skill fast track 2. Don't disagree she also deserved more, she was also a disappointment when she got her grid expansion, but... was better than this with Red, because of noxious hit 9, but still isn't great. Use her as a wall/assassin, purely for defense, heals, sync move speed up, and the super debuffs. Doubled up with Celebi who is an attacker and does this too, along with the trapping and flinching ridiculous combo, then boosted damage from grassy terrain frenzy plant will hit hard now that their spc defense is -6. Along with Celebi having dire hit all +.

well yea i think you’re right. Used her as a supporter. Her sync grid upgrade actually kinda useless she need more debuff but i think if we combine her with SS Lyra i think she’s a bit more useful. Well for new player i think they won’t understand why we happy get her back at 1 anniversary bcs they never felt wht we experienced before we get them. There are no sync pair as great as them before 1 anni

now that I have pikachu and articuno, charizard is really bad comparatively...not able to boost itself in one turn, weak sync move due to mega evolve, bad multiplier... they should have given charizard better boost

What do you mean due to mega evolve? Mega evolve is a saving grace as it boosts Charizard's stats, and it's had since launch, how is that a negative? Also still better than Leon, and sure maybe was passed by Blaziken, Victini, now we got Moltres for fire types, but still useable. Not saying it isn't unfortunate, he deserved better grid additions, like impervious, brain teaser, propulsion 9 on blast burn and heatwave instead of a TM you're only using once or twice. Sure not as good as Pikachu or Articuno but that's also apples and oranges comparing Pokemon of different types, unless you planned on running all 3 together? Which is a huge mistake in general all being attackers with not so great defenses (well Articuno is decent especially with that protect, but I mean I'd still run Snorlax as the main defense if you want an all Red team, if that's your complaint).

@@Blaze4ification to begin with, i'm talking about the base power of the sync move, if you take a look, all pokemon with the ability to mega evolve have a lower base power. Yes, it gives you a stat boost, but the power and multiplier is bad. Most of the time in MM you only need one support ex sync and a good striker nuke to clear the stage. This is Red we are talking about, of coz we all want the best for our boy. Just like you mentioned, it deserves better boost and that's all I'm talking about. Dunno why you would say i'd run those three Reds in the same team lol.

@@MrAlfredkwok That's not always true, Sceptile has a mega evolution with a power of 300, while something like Hex Maniac only has 240 power, or Camerupt that can get higher than that, Swampert, Lopunny, Latias, granted they're techs. What do you mean MM? Champion Stadium Master Mode? Too many other games use MM as acronyms, and most people would use CS, especially as a Zelda fan Majoras Mask, no offense, just I was confused for a while trying to figure out what game mode had MM for initials, not Champion Stadium not Legendary Guantlet WHAT DOES IT MEEEEAN lol. That being said, I still use Red faithfully, he still can offtype really well too in Champion Stadium, even with the point boost added. Harder on some regions sure, like Sinnoh and Hoenn, Alola electric Champion I couldn't beat because Blue Blastoise is weak to electric. Why I said unless you meant running a full Red team, sure it isn't as good as Pikachu or Articuno, but also comparing apples and oranges, also why I used that before, on a team with Leaf Venusaur and Blue Blastoise he still does really good off type... but yeah not as good as Pikachu, and Articuno just released no idea... but clearly going places because it is crazy good lol. All I'm saying is, yeah I know, you I and everyone else we want the best for Red, but he's also still able to hold his own somewhat even with better fire types out there, not to under sell him, he's an old reliable... that being said yes we should all rush to inquiries and feedback to voice our opinion of the boy deserves better lol. One last thing, with this addition of 2nd roles, I think that's going to be the awakening he needs. Articuno is a striker/tech because Red himself falls in those lines, same with Moltres being a tech support, Leaf is a very supportive unit even when using a tech like Venusaur or Moltres, while Blue is a tank, he likes to hit hard with strikers like Pidgeot, but that doesn't stop his Blastoise from hitting hard too (even though I use him as a wall unit), while Zapdos is a support/striker. I think the rest of their Pokemon will fall in line with this eventually, Charizard and Pikachu especially will get tech and striker respectively, Snorlax maaaybe a striker being a tanky Pokemon (not sure if it is a tank or wall I still don't have it too try out myself), and their sync will be RIDICULOUS when that happens if it happens. Thus also solving his low power level on sync issue. That being said, I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed, impervious to replace stats quo 4, bare minimum I've gone to feedback and support for, and they didn't do it, brainteaser would've been nice, and less sun boosts especially since personally I don't use him on sun teams. Feedback and support is going to get an earful from me and everyone else for this probably.

Red is... about as disappointing as when Leaf got her 5/5 grid expansion, possibly more. Nothing is worth noting, like one of the new nodes at 5/5 maaaybe, but that I can't remember what that node is... well isn't helping its case of being of value... oh the propulsion on his TM, yeah no, would've been better to have propulsion chances increased for his attacks, I mean you use his TM then you're treating him like Lugia and that's not good especially for a weaker unit. Along with it doesn't refresh as frequently if at all, AND... you're weakening Red with those defense debuffs, which could've been solved with impervious had it been added. Costs same energy as stats quo 4, and is a guarantee over a what 30% chance? He could've and should've been so much better. Brainteaser and in a place that's closer than haymaker also would've been nice, because as is I'm neither changing my grid, nor can I reach haymaker without risking giving up the nodes I do need like stats quo 4. I mean he still holds up sure, but he has been passed by other fire units like Victini, Volcanion, and Blaziken, now Moltres to name a few, so a few other nodes would've been nice at the very least impervious. Blue is a bit better, just for that spc defense going up by 2 at the start, would've been better if it'd been added to its x defense imo, then it's raising both defenses at the same time, only other complaint is maaaybe an auto heal attached to one of its tms, but that's not a big deal, especially since I use him with SS Red and Leaf anyways and Leaf gives everyone auto heals with her TM. No real complaints for Blue, solid upgrades.

SS red got done dirty. Needs brain teaser or atk buff nodes. also a bunch of his nodes are randomly 4-5 sync points for no reason... stupid as fuck.

Why is this relevant especially when Leaf isn't here, already got a 5/5 grid expansion... and it sucked, was the worst 5/5 grid upgrade to a unit, well... ok not entirely, this Red upgrade is pretty bare bones and an insult to a legend of a character, I at least changed 1 node on Leaf, this one I feel nothing.
