@@pancakesbf2704 not as much in diamond I go in and see around one toxic person every 10 games But when im in plat i see a toxic person either on my team or the opponents every 2 games Plat is just the worst especially in 1s Don't try to defend it

When I made it to Diamond, there was an instant shift in mentality. Everyone was a lot more chill, a lot less toxic, and never took themselves too seriously. Additionally, I am convinced that Bronze and Silver ranked players have the most fun. I have one friend who is a Bronze and has been for some time. He just loves doing anything and gets hyped when he hits the ball. He's never toxic and has fun whether we win or lose.

As someone who is diamond atm, i completely agree, gold was full of arseholes and so was plat, i had some of my most frustrating games in plat, diamond, whether its duos or solos has been really chill and i feel like im steadily ranking up without getting tilted

So far, I’ve actually spent the majority of my in game time in diamond rank. I only started playing a couple months before free to play, so maybe the difficulty of climbing through ranks has changed over time. I got placed into gold 2 right out of my initial place,ent matches after buying the game, quickly ranked up to platinum after a couple weeks, then spent somewhere between 1-2 months in platinum, and finally now plateaued in diamond 2, where I’ve been for a while now. I don’t get much time to play these days, but if I ever manage to play more than 1 day in a week I start to see myself division up and creep towards that rank up, then I won’t play for a week or more and go back down next time I play. All I’ll say about diamond, this is the home of the most aggressive, ball chasing, always double committing players I’ve seen yet. 90% of my games are spent on my half of the field watching both of my teammates boost relentlessly after the ball within 2 car lengths of each other for the entire match. (I’m a higher rank in 2s)

Yeah. that confused my friend and I. He had to turn off chat because he would waste half the game typing in a rage over their dickish comments. But yeah, Platinum was the worst against teammates. We'd win so many times because somebody on the other team would kick and scream at their teammates. Odds are that they'd have the lowest point score on the field too.

Plats think they've learned everything they need to know and that they are the best players alive while diamonds might actually be champ level players who can't get over the fact that their teammate just missed a flip reset double tap so at the end of the day most plats and diamonds have good mechanics with very bad rotation and positioning which is why the most stuck people are in plat and diamond

This was 100% spot on man. I feel this explanation to a tee. I have only been playing a few months. Decided to focus 2v2 this season, just realized that focusing on one or the other is not needed haha. I am in gold, working on building a friend list of nice people. Because it makes the climb so much easier when all it was was a loss to a possible smurf or late starter to the season. Im one of the oldies that play. Stsrted because of my son. I enjoy every aspect of RL and am impressed by the intricacies of the hit box and the interactions between objects in game. The last two days I was in silver, and complaining in a discord chat that Im a god and dont deserve silver lmao!!!!! I took a step back, focused on playing slow, and I know you know what that means. Your videos told me I suck and I listened. Its been eye opening what can be accomplished at 10mph vice wiffing past the ball at 100 haha. Thanks for the content. I hope to be diamond to enjoy that happy space, and now realize, im not a Diamond player yet.

Being stuck in champ for way too long, I can confirm it really took the fun for me, it's insane how full of themselves so many players are. I turned to 1s for a while, but even there are champs acting like the plat you showed at the beginning, who seem to only play the game to push their ego. I started playing 2s with a plat friend who also was done with his toxic randoms and low and behold, not only did we have a blast, we also somehow managed to win more games than with random toxic mates at my rank. Sadly, playing with a lowered ranked mates only hurts my MMR, I already considered to start a new account only to play with him and possibly carry through to champ again.

Just gotta git good at hitting the ball consistently and rotating and positioning yourself right, the crazy mechanics can make the game more fun but they aren't necessary to rank up

Rotation and game sense is all it takes. I jeeted out of plat 1 in 3 months and am now diamond 1 and yet idk how to air dribble, idk how to dribble period, idk how to speed flip. I see my opponents doing these all the time, yet in plat and low diamond, all u have to do is be patient and anticipate what they are gonna do then punish them. They know how to do crazy stuff but it's super paragraphed 😂

Ikr I overglorified all the higher ranks into thinking they will be amazing but honestly the lower ranks are so much better with people who don't take the game seriously and just wanna have fun. I don't see the point in try harding a video game so much and getting angry when, unless you're gonna make it to esports, it is a massive waste of time if you're not gonna enjoy it a lot because at the end of the day a video game is meant to be fun.

When I first went online I went to casual and people asked me my rank and I said something like "45" cos I didnt know what ranks were and could only see my level lol. Now I'm just a demo rat

Plat was one of my favorite times but not my most favorite silver one and the times i was starting out were my favorite cause everything was chaotic and everyone was decently low to an extent that they smashed into eachother constantly without blowing eachother up and was the most funny time of my life.

Wayton i really enjoy your videos and have been watching them for some time now. I understand you probably get these comments alot but i have practiced your techniques and tutorials on how to perform better as rocket league is me and my wife's daily passion. How would i get 1 on 1 coaching and training from a skilled player like yourself or would you recommend something different. I have been playing for around 300 hours or so according to Xbox and the stats page. I really would like to perform better and expand my understanding of the games more complex fundamentals. yesterday I ranked up to diamond and suddenly the teammates I got became equal to my skill level instead of way above so they couldnt flame me anymore and my opponents were very chill and even complimented me and my teammates shots! Bro 3:16 is one of the biggest straight facts I've ever heard about this game. I'm diamond and I have my gold friends always come up to me and say," Yo, I got so good since last time I played with you. I can ceiling shot musty now!" Bro, that's cool but can you do anything with it? I go into a 1v1 with them and ceiling shot musty their cheeks and they say I'm hacking😂 truly one of the best feelings in this game. Was watching this on my phone, got to the end of the video and the KZread crashed right after “because they all suck” and I’ve never felt more impacted in my life.

it's basically an up hill battle to get above both plat and gold with getting teammates that kinda act like their in silver.

The hardest mechanic I tried to do in gold was what I thought was an air dribble but was really a ceiling shot lmao, I didn't know how to air roll back then as well so my air dribbles were shit

for me so far in champ (as i never soloq), the matches are pretty rarely toxic, apart from me saying "salee tykkäät jäätelöst" and the opponents get tilted for a free win. (it's "i bet you like ice cream" in finnish btw), but the early forfeits are mostly by me doing something incredibly dumb that it's a antural instinct to just press forfeit and think about my life choices for approx 1sec and keep playing, and honestly, champ is the most fun i've ever had in rl so far.

I’m so glad I only spent half a season in plat and gold combined thanks to bakkesmod and switching from switch to pc like seriously it’s so difficult to even flip cancel on switch big respect to all the switch players that are diamond and higher

I got placed in champ this season (was diamond 2 before. Somehow everybody jumped up like two ranks the new season). But I have to say champ is the chillest rank so far. A lot less quick chat. People know left goes. They dont spam I got it in the middle of the play and they even say gg most of the time even if we lost

I'm stuck in plat cause it's so unbalanced and at this point I can't learn anything since I get ball chasers or "freestylers" who scream if I try to play normally and not give them the ball, it's hard to communicate since only like 1% of plats are squally good teamates

The worst specific ranks by far though is when you get to 3 in any rank. (G3, P3, D3) that’s when you get a ton of toxicity from people trying to rank up to the next level and you get a ton of smurfs who are helping their friends rank up to the next level. D3 specifically is the absolute worst rank in the game. Play a Smurf every other game.

About the champ rank, i was playing 2v2 high plat yesterday and this one game i was paired with a champ player. Every. Single. Mistake that I made they would spam "Wow!" Or some other quick chat. I understand if they would get somewhat upset since I shouldnt even be that high currently with my skill, but wow.

I actually enjoy being in Diamond. Like stated, take the game serious enough to have fun games, but the hissyfits are less common, especially compared to platinum, like damn. Although when someone is having one, it's a BIG one

when i watched this video i was gold 3 so i saw that wayton said my rank was tier F so i didnt like that, and i was thinking if i get out of gold i'll be plat and that will make worst so i kept trying and trying and now i am a diamond. So thank you wayton u made go from a normal gold player to rocket ship to diamond.

I’m platinum and I 100% agree!!! Every single one of my teammates have ZERO rotations and either ball chase or just sit in net 24/7 and when ever they do go for the ball they miss!!! So I 100% agree!!!
