If you want to hear Tim’s really low voice, check out Misty Mountains with Peter Hollens featuring Tim Foust. Tim has a 5 octave range. For his high range vocals, check out Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay.

In my opinion HF has 2 of the best voices in the industry- on opposite ends of the spectrum. Austin and his Tenor, Tim and his Bass! Hard to find any better!
Tim and Avi both have extremely deep voices.
Avi Kaplan (the bearded guy with the beanie) was a guest performer in this video. He used to be with Pentatonix. You saw him in the 'Hallelujah' video.
That teaser song at the end is Champaign Taste on a Beer Budget, written by Tim Foust. Showcases their sense of humor and fun.
This song is done in a country reggae beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. On the "Sing Off Show" that Home Free won in 2013 Tim goes even lower on this song "Ring Of Fire" & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam Rupp once again was stellar in his vocal percussion. The song you saw at the end was written by Tim Foust & is called "Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget". It really shows their funny side.

@@carrieblair1115 Nope It was Tim watch Avi putting on the cowboy hat and then watch the full end and look at Tims right hand he almost always does that when he goes low and if not watch them sing it on the Sing Off
Not only does Tim hit the note, he sustains it.
Homefree has been singing together since 2000, when the group started. The sing off was 2012, that’s when they took off.

I first saw them on Sing Off, and I have seen them three or four times, which says a lot since I hate being in crowds and they always have a crowd. Greg, you may still be able to find the performance videos from Sing Off on KZread. Check them out if you haven't yet!
I love the bass sing off between Avi and Tim at the end. Tim won that with the last note.

Greg, fans of Home Free are called Home Frye's so welcome to the rabbit hole
Look for the song "Misty Mountains" with Peter Hollins and Tim Foust. Tim goes into dragon mode with his deep voice.
I'm so glad you discovered Home Free! Please react to Avi Kaplan's Change On the Rise. He has a solo career now after leaving Pentatonix and is absolutely amazing! I really think you will dig his music.

A Johnny Cash song - very deep song! Love Home Free🍃❤️🍃🔥🔥🔥 - HF is magical!
Greg,it's their God given talent and they make the most of it,never taking it for granted
I was waiting for your reaction when Tim hits that final low note and you did not disappoint 😊 I've watched experienced vocal coaches react to Home Free and at the end they're just like the rest of us, sitting there saying 'How do they do that???' I guess a lot of talent and 20 years of practice eventually pays off. Really hope you'll react to one of Adam Rupps drum solos, that will blow you away.
"How do they do this", very simple answer,,,,,,,,,,,,,, they are AMAZINGLY talented individually,,, but as a group outstanding 👏 👌 🔥🔥🔥
Greg, Home Free has soul also. Check out When a man loves a woman. As mentioned also check out Adam Rupp's drum solo. He is known as the human drum kit. Love your reactions man, keep at it.
Everyone will say to check out Adam Rupp's beat box solos and they would be right, but if you want to be truly blown away, watch 9 to 5 live beat box breakdown. It's a fan cam so not great quality, but the talent of all of them LIVE!!! And when Avi went low, I was "just wait, we're not done yet!". Lol! Great reaction!

Yes, please react to the live 9 to 5. It is great :)
The low note was Tim. Tim showed both Avi & Geff how to get low notes. They are great friends.
The confidence to have bass from you most direct competition. Props to Tim and Avi for giving their fans exactly what they want to see. Sing the same song.
Tim has blown at least 23 subwoofers with just his voice. His lowest note is one that most men can't reach. Adam has taught all of them some beatboxing. Tim was a substitute teacher, Rob was a bartender, Austin was doing theater shows on a cruise ship. I'm not sure about Chance except he was in another group. Adam is one of the founders of the group with his brother who went out on his own
These guys are GREAT. Check out "In the Blood" for seriously wonderful lyrics and sound, and then some of their FUN stuff, too.

Hey new Home Fry.. now you understand the magic of Home Free and why their fan Base Understand!
This is a great collab between HF and Avi. You may remember seeing Avi in your PTX reactions. He was the bass until he left the group in 2017 due to personal reasons and to get going with his solo career, which is amazing btw.
Andy Rupp is the beatbboxer and he is a world champion beatboxer. I love how Avi from Pentatonix took his beanie off and put a cowboy hat on in respect for Tim's low note. Avi is amazing and both Tim and Avi have incredible range. I know this is my reaction to your viewing a year ago, but hope you keep watching Home Free and check out Pentatonix. Both groups won their season of The Sing Off.
With these acapella groups, it’s simple.....if you don’t see any instruments, that’s ‘cause there ain’t any! With Home Free, the only “instruments” you hear are coming from their mouths! Sometimes they do have collaborations with other groups that have instruments, but you’ll see the instruments, they don’t hide them.
Check out their cover of Blue Ain't Your Color.
How do they do it? Immense talent, incredible vocal range, and years of practice.

Two fantastic bass singers in one song - that's just great. And Adam's vocal percussion is top notch. Only the live version at Sing Off 2013 is better, where Tim goes even deeper. The song at the end is Champagne Taste (On a Beer Budget), also a top song - but I haven't heard a bad song from the Home Free guys yet. Great reaction!
I need Tim and Avi in the back of my trunk! 😉🔉🔊🔊 ~Pentaholic from Louisiana 🐊
New subscriber here for more Home Free. They have a huge catalog. Welcome to the A capella world. They got me through quarantine...... it was tough, but Home Free was there. If you want something that will bring your emotions out you will find it. Something hilarious _ try the Butt's Medley, Country Fried Pop Medley and Guilty Pleasure Hilariously Derailed. Patriotic _ God Bless The USA featuring Lee Greenwood and the singing sergeants. Tim Foust has his own channel and Austin Brown and Adam Chance

Same here. New sub cause I've been a home fry since 2013.
Their beatboxer, Adam Rupp, is just THAT flipping talented. Listen to their version of “Man of Constant Sorrow,” and your life will be changed
These guys are the most popular accapella group I've ever heard!! Austin Brown, the lead singer, can hit every note known! His gift is amazing!!! These guys have loads of songs!! You'll enjoy everything they do!! Try reacting to Austin singing "Unchained Melody"!!! Tim's bass voice is astronomical also!! Adam's talent with all of the beat-boxing sounds are beyond anything I've ever seen!! All of these guys are full of talent!! As a retired professional singer, I will praise these guys always!!!
I lost it with that deep voice!!! 😂🤣🤣 They have crazy talent!!
You should listen to their version of All About The Bass (really funny) that song after the video is Champagne Taste (On a Beer Budget)
Great Song, BUT You know what the greatest part of the reaction? YOUR SMILE! Love it! Don't forget to listen to the Adam Rupp BeatBox 'drum solo'! Greetings from Cyndy in Louisiana, USA!
great reaction.. that song you asked about is home free original champagne taste on a beer budget. Welcome to the HOME FRIES!
I really enjoyed watching your reaction to Avi and the instruments. I can listen to Home Free all day. I had the pleasure of seeing them live and they are amazing!
Hey Greg! Love your reactions man. Here's one that you gotta listen to Home Free: Drum Solo [SPM ST15]. This is one of Adam's best. I know you will be impressed. Have a good one!
On this one Home Free had a guest singer...Avi Kaplan in the beanie...another phenomenal bass singer like long-haired Tim Foust of Home Free. The thing about both of them is...neither of them just sings bass...they've both got RANGE capability also, as you can HEAR several times in this song. ;)
Loved your reaction! Thanks Greg! 💙🍟
More than three years ago this was the first video I saw/heard from Home Free. I got there because I was listening to Pentatonix at the time and Avi was my favorite. Immediately there was something that drew me to Home Free. From then on I followed them and after I think 3 videos I was a real Home Fry. I hardly follow PTX anymore. Avi still does, because Avi Kaplan and Home Free let me feel music and not just hear it. Their great harmonies, the unbelievably good beatboxing/vocal percussion and of course that incredible deep bass that makes the ground vibrate and your speakers explode.
Loving watching your reaction to Home Free!! Been watching them since they were on the Sing Off! Amazing group!!
You need to watch Adam Rupp (from Home Free) drum solo…he is unreal with his mouth doing the drums and also beatboxing!! When Tim Foust hit that low note it sent chills all over…geez. Amazing arrangement! Great reaction! I love Home Free😊
I love the reaction. It is joy and amazement. All things old are new again!
Adam (beatboxer)and Chris Rupp are brothers... and they started Home Free many years ago. The other singers came and went... until Tim and Rob. Then they got Austin on that cruise. Chris Rupp went solo and Adam Chance joined. They kinda all knew each other.... from the Sing Off and meeting on cruises... etc. Thank goodness they have stayed together. The music they make is a joy to listen to. And their videos... silly or serious... are such an amazing feat of music, singing, filming and editing! You go guys!
Loved it noone can harmonies like these guys
God given talent.... and they found each other!!!!!
Avi Kaplan (who was with Pentatonix) joined them. Tim Foust hit that note. Check out Adam Rupp drum solo. It will show you what this man can do with his voice!!
I've been watching your reactions to Home Frees videos and I'm learning love all over again.. thank you for this! Hope you continue to enjoy!
You have GOT to listen to Adam's "drum" solo!!! Impossible not to be amazed!!!!!
How??? Artistry and Talent!!!
Great song...really love your stuff and now subbed! (Btw...the best answer to your question, "how can they do this?" is ...their vocal cords are genetically constructed as nearly perfectly as we can imagine.
More Home Free please - I love your reaction videos.
If I choke myself trying to do it LOL 😂🤣😂Thank You, I really needed that laugh today, although, please don't choke!
Check out the one they did with the oak ridge boys Elvira.. or you need to do when a man loves a woman.
They do it with TALENT!
That was great dude! Your reactions were perfect. It's not every day you get to see 2 of the best basses in acapella bring it. Enjoy the journey. HF is amazing.
How do they do this... MAD SKILLS ! and some amazing vocal ranges.
Home Free won a show called The Sing Off in 2014, and a group named Pentatonix won it the year before, 2013. Pentatonix was the gateway for other acapella groups like Home Free to move into more mainstream music pathways. Home Free is and always will be one of my favourite acapella groups, but I love Pentatonix just as much, if for nothing other than paving the ay for groups like Home Free to do their thing. Not sure if you have done any Pentatonix reactions yet, but if not, please do check out their stuff, especially such gems as their Daft Punk medley, their cover of Bohemian Rhapsody, their gorgeous version of Amazing Grace and the Prayer, and some of their more fun ones like Sing!, 90's Dance Medley and many more. Love the channel, keep doing what you do 💕
Your reactions are brilliant love you to do more Queen. You have a smile like Eddie Murphy. Great job 👏
Your reaction to this is absolutely priceless! Love how you appreciate what they did in this video, it's been one of my favorites for years, and showcases 2 amazing bass singers, as well as the phenomenal beat boxer :)
They do it with talent, skills, passion & years and years of hard work. And we get the benefit because together or solo they are awesome 😍
Oh my goodness I am loving watching you love this song!!!
Greg, you are too much! I’m sitting here wiping my eyes from listening and watching you do your thing on your show! Thanks for the good time tonight! When Tim went so low on ring of fire, I thought you were going to fall off your chair! Very entertaining show…thank you!

@Vlogging with Greg “How Great Thou Art” Please don’t miss that one. ‼️
Greg, they practice over and over until they get the original sound they want to achieve and do it over and over until they actually get the sound effects and the voice and breath control they desire as a unit. Remember it is not all about one or the other....they sing as a unit at all times....that's why they sound so wonderful to you and me and thousands of fans.
Everyone gets that reaction to Avi and he can sing 2 tones at the same time and has a huge range and Tim is right there in skill. You should start listening to Post Modern Jukebox start with Creep and you will fall for that voice.
How do they do it? A total gift from the gods of all universes!
They do this with a hell of a lot of work. The timing must be absolutely perfect. A lot of hard work.
New sub here. I’ve really enjoyed your reactions to these acapella groups. It’s pure talent, pure sound. I recommend “I Swear” for humor and “When a Man Loves a Woman” for a jaw drop. You’re just touching the tip of the iceberg. Enjoy!!

Absolutely adore your reactions. They are so genuine and joyful.
In case you didn't know Avi Kaplan, is a good friend of Home Free. Him and Tim Foust can bust them low notes!! Check out Forever and Ever!!
I love how excited you get watching Home Free! I've been watching them for 4 years & STILL get excited & can watch their videos hundreds of times! The next song was a Home Free original "Champaign Taste on a Beer Budget". It's funny & an old one before 2016 when Chris Rupp (co founder with his beat boxer brother, Adam Rupp) was still with them. He left for a solo career & other endeavors & was replaced with Adam Chance (just called "Chance" since they already had another Adam)!😊
New sub. LOL I’m here for the Home Free
Home Free does every song great!
Avi Kaplan (the guy in the hat) is from Pentatonics. He now has an amazing solo career. Worth checking out. All the really low tones were Avi in this song.
Lol both Avi Kaplin and Tim Foust have channels of their own . With solos originial and covers. Should check them out see their vast range as basses
You have been Home Fried! Listen to ALL their songs - you'll love them!
No one knows how they do this. You'll just have to go to a live concert to find out
I am a new sub. I truly enjoy see younger people appreciate acapella music . The song you asked about is call champagne taste on a beer budget, written by Tim Foust the bass singer.
The song on the trailer at the end is written by Tim Foust (the bass singer and the guy in the overalls) is called "Champagne taste on a beer budget". I would also recommend that you check out the "Butt's Medley", and "All about the bass". You just can't go wrong. HOWEVER do not listen to "Mayday" until you get to know all the names of the members and get very familiar with what each member brings to the sound. This group was started in 2000 and won the tv show "The Sing Off" in 2012. You can find videos the will show all of their songs from the show. Well worth the time to watch (and we would like to watch it with you) Enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole home fry recruit!!
Loved the reaction
Love watching you react to Home Free!😊
God given talent is how they do it.
Love Johnny cash singing this song!
The bass singer in the skull cap is Avi Kaplan who started with the Pentatonicx before he left for a solo and colab career. He was the bass you commented on in Hallelujah. Home Free is outstanding!
Welcome to the world of subharmonics! Those super low bass notes take a special kind of voice. Both Avi from PTX (dude in the beanie) and Tim (the guy who actually hit that note in this song) are a rare breed. The bass from Voiceplay, Geoff, also has those notes, but only through insane skill & practice as he’s a natural baritone.
Look up their live performances on the sing off. They won the competition. They really took off after that!
It's the best instrument the God given human voice
Oh my lord! You made me snort laugh with this reaction.. thanks I needed that.
oh and do an Adam Rupp drum solo
