Technically a blackhole has nothing to do with speed, but kenjaku having anti-gravity should at least translate into him having a poor man's infinity, which he only defensively once, like that should be the 2nd strongest defence in the verse and he only used it once

Shit like this why no one respects the writing of JJK. Death is only shocking if people know or care about the person who died. It really doesn’t take that long to establish a character but Gege simply REFUSES. The only expectation he’s subverting is that characters matter outside of how they progress a series of events. Shit’s infuriating because there’s so much potential.

At least in my head cannon I think Yuki's insistence on asking people about their type is just her way of being kind of irreverent in the face of how horrible life is for most sorcerers. Like it's just something she says to lighten the mood when they're in the middle of fuckshit city. I think Todo took it to heart though and actually believes what he said about how one's kinks are revelatory of one's inner character. Either that or he's just copying his mentor for the sake of idolizing the only person he found interesting between his birth and the third grade lmao.

Gege constant underuse/mishandling of characters is sad and makes me worried for the future of JJK. Spoilers: But he still hasn’t gone all out.

Edit: I'm talking about 4:42 An actual black hole of that size would destroy the entire planet. Most higher end feats are at best highballed to be city level with the Volcano cursed spirit's best attack being a few city blocks that didn't even destroy buildings completely. Gege as an author probably doesn't have a firm understanding of physics and we can see inconsistencies throughout the series such as Maki avoiding an already fired bullet once it's a few inches from her head but then later on she's clearly stated to be supersonic in speed after she got more powerful yet she keeps up with relatively strong characters towards the current point in the manga despite being super to hypersonic in speed with the bullet feat from early on. The blackhole feat is an insane outlier in the series and so would misinterpreting Gojo's and Kashimo's abilities. To me it's more of a pseudo-blackhole, not a literal one.

Oh the reason for that was because Tegen gave Yuki crappy advice. Originally Yuki plan on using her DE but Tegen told her not to use it and opted to use Tegen's barrier technique instead which ended up not working because Kenjaku's DE is open domain.

@@bruhsquared3827 I guess she was still banking on Tengen's barrier coming in handy that or Tengen's barrier would have gotten in the way. Either way Gege was set on screwing Yuki over. Honestly had Yuta stood in place for Choso for protecting Tengen. All they have to worry about would be the fight with Sukuna and they'd have Yuki there as backup which would have better the odds tho don't know how the Sendai Colony part would have played out without Yuta there.

Yuki was waisted to the point that this is just outrageous. She barely got any screentime, no backstory, no insight, no real interaction with any character aside Geto and Choso, literally nothing and just straight up DIES. Kenjaku’s "strategy" to escape just makes it even more anticlimactic because it doesn’t feel like that at all because of how random throwable it was. It just feels cheap, he literally somehow had conveniently a cursed technique that counter it and it was used only at that very moment and never again. It’s not even like with Yuki we weren’t supposed to expect at least more from her because she’s literally a special grade and had one of the most interesting philosophies and dynamics we’ve seen so far, and yet she literally dies to the worst asspul possible.

Gege wasted so many characters. The Kyoto students got 0 development, Yuki and Kashimo got treated like trash, Gojo got off screened, and Maki is still alive with her bullshit plot armour.

So, she's gonna be the JJKverse's Hashirama's Cells, but with souls instead? Talking of which, why tf was she one who knew about souls? Her techinique has nothing to do with souls, there is Mahito and Yaga who are aware of the shape of a soul because of how their CT work, Yuji and Hana who can interact with it bc they are/were vessels, Toji and Maki who have been implied to be able to see it, even if they cant interact with it, bc of their Heavenly Restriction (You need to understand the soul to fully use the Soul-Split Katana, Toji did it, Im assuming Maki can too)... And then there is Yuki, whose techinique has nothing to do with it, but was the one studying it. Is it because she was a star-plasma *vessel* ? Is that everything that is needed to see the soul? Just be a potential vessel, doesnt even need to actually fuse with something else like Yuji did? Or can some people just randomly be born seeinf souls and thats what makes them "plasma vessels"? Could Rikko understand the shape of the soul? We dont know cuz they all dead :/

By telling someone, you can make it more powerful because of the cursed energy it gives off and the fear you give them, I believe. I may be wrong. You're right that like... it's already so strong that like, what's that going to do? But, I feel like that'd be true of a good few things. Furthermore, it's not too uncommon that someone might let you know what's going to happen, so that you panic, rather than dealing with it. Fake punches, obvious cavalry charges, it's not FULLY unreasonable that she told him. I don't think she saved him, I think he would have done his thing either way. He's too calm and too wise. I do think, however, the implication that Kenjaku somehow got out of a black hole is utter shite. How? How on Earth? Would he not be instantly dead due to the gravity crushing him? Stuck inside? And so on? To me it doesn't make any sense. I feel like Yuki's black hole is unironically a one shot kill for like, ANYTHING. Also, Yuji is a nerd! He is a good school boy and stuff. He learns well and is easy to teach. I think you're being a bit harsh....

I think you're underselling how bullshit Anti-gravity is. We didn't know either Yuki or Kenjaku's Innate Techniques before the time of the fight within Tengen's barrier. What that means is that Kenjaku's Innate Technique could have been established to be literally anything that would just so happen to be the counter to Yuki's Cursed Technique. So for instance, if Kenjaku had used RCT to freeze Choso's Supernova instead, establishing that he has Superheat or something, then Yuki would likely have been established to have something like a fire Cursed Technique. Then when she kills herself by making herself hotter than the sun, Kenjaku would just use RCT to counterbalance the heat with cold. She was checkmated by the plot from the start because this was always going to be the outcome no matter what her Cursed Technique was.

Not at all, Gojo or Sukuna winning that fight was perfect for their character. If Gojo had won he would've stopped being arrogant and looking down on everyone. Since he experienced a near-death encounter again like his fight against Toji. Sukuna winning made sense for his character since he wanted to beat Gojo without his infinity because of the humiliation he experienced from Gojo during their first encounter. We don't know Gojo's maximum technique so if he used it he might've won. And the reason people like Sukuna winning is because he beat someone with the best defensive ability in the verse, nobody else could kill him except Sukuna.

Kenjaku just so happened to have the only technique in the entire show that could let him survive a Black Hole and gravity, which is hilarious, and won, only to the get bush camped and blitzed. If Gege really wanted to kill Kenjaku off he should have delayed the Yuki fight to during the games and have Yuki kill Kenjaku and herself, so at least Kenjaku doesn't get killed in such a lame way.
