Passing the Real Estate exams is when you study hard, if you can’t study or you don’t have time for your studies I’d advise you get yourself a help like Mrs Brenda

This has some very useful content. As a person who has passed the exam in the past, and as a person who is currently taking the class in person, you have a lot of gems that I would like to point out. An in-class setting is a game changer. I also should say why I'm retaking the class. It is for the same state, I got discouraged after signing up and allowed my license to expire. There are ways, "hanging" my license in a referral company or taking the continuing education course, I could have kept my license active, that I neglected to do because I was hard on myself. Originally I took a 6 week night class in person pre-pandemic. Currently I'm taking a 3 week day class on zoom. I cannot tell you how much more content you can consume when you have a teacher who is or has been in the industry, and who teaches you. Secondly you are correct, they teach you how things are worded on the exam. The book we are offered, has some resemblance to the structure of how things are written however, their knowledge of how things are written on the actual exam, and also the anecdotes of previous students revisiting the class offers a well balanced guide to exam prep. Classes also offer a comprehensive test out exam for the course that is modeled to emulate the structure, wording, and balance that lacks in quickly found tools online. That is not to discount the fact, that with the right grit you may be able to find great resources, however I find that in aid to having someone in the industry these tools are easier to be found. On KZread @PrepAgent has a lot of great material that you can use to study for the exam regardless of location. He helps you with the exam minus the specific state portion which you can refer to in your current market with a school. This tool alone helped me pass my exam the first time around. I find that the tip about cramming isn't the best, but again if it is the only option you have, its the only option you have. What I will say at the very least is that please avoid cramming the night before. You will give yourself undue stress, you want your mind fresh and ready to go the next morning. When you go into this, just know this, you know more than you think you know. So extra studying and cramming won't do much but present you with diminishing returns. Give yourself ample time to study. Pace yourself based on your own learning style and time allocation. Also a tutor as she mentioned is great tool to utilize. Another good tip in this video is to not be too hard on yourself. A large number of students fail the first time around, and take a few times to pass. On my first attempt I passed, however I am an outlier. I owe it to my preparation, and that in no way predicts my current examination efforts. So preparation is key. Another gem my teach used to teach herself, and to prepare her for teaching the course is another teach in California who teaches through a book that page is @NewDirectionSchool from the overview of things discussed, and the aptitude of my professor I can surmise that this teacher is proficient, however I do not have long invested time to give a more accurate assessment. Above another KZread channel was mentioned, that helped her so with that, look though the resources provided, find ones that resonate, mix and match, use them all or find a path that works for you. Another thing I did for the exam, they give you scrap paper and a calculator at the exam. What I did, is use that paper to "dump" or write out all I could remember. All the acronyms, real estate math tools like the "wheel," and any definitions I could remember. Then referred to it like a cheat sheet. All of your belongings when you arrive will be put in a locker so the only thing you can bring with you is your ID's which I believe they keep with them, and what you have in your brain. This is the only form of "cramming" I recommend. When going through the test, you can come back to previous topics. So anything that takes time to answer, skip it and go to the easier questions you can answer quickly. Finish all of those and come back to the questions that are more difficult, then repeat, until you mill down a majority of the question. You are tested in the exam. This is the best way to make use of your time. I recommend staying for the whole time of the exam. Here in New Jersey our exam is 4 hours. Make sure you know where the exam location is. Pick one at a time that is convenient, and then do a test drive to that location around the time that you would be traveling. This way you are able to feel more comfortable knowing where to go, and this reduces your stress. If you can visit more than once, all the better. Make sure you have all the legal documents prepped before you go, and prepare for success. Eat a good breakfast you will need the energy, and realize that you can do this. Mindset is paramount. Your first guess is usually the right one, and if you can avoid going back and forth on an answer you'll save yourself from self doubt. You've got this! Process of elimination is a good tool when you are unsure, and when you can eliminate 50% of the answers to a question you have less to worry about when you make your decision. The wording on the test is tricky and sometimes extra stuff or fluff is thrown in to confuse you. The best thing to do is to read the question thoroughly and at slower sometimes you can get snagged. Anyways this is a lengthy comment, but I want to say that a lot of this video was useful, and to those who are looking to take the exam just breath, you've got this.
