It’s a brand new game with better gameplay mechanics & gun play lol it ain’t no fucking expansion pack

I swear SBMM effects the broken spawn system, its like they spawn enemies right behind you to make sure you die and lower your KD. The game also makes sure if you're too good itll just put little timmies on your team that go 0-12 or 3-15 that can't play objective because they're noobs that are still lvl 5 against full teams of max level. The game actually plays good but holy hell does it punish you for being good

IT's not SBMM screwing spawns, it's spawns being horrible and character movement speed vs map size that make SBMM feel more horrible. They do the maps design first to full and then they handle all the gameplay. SO the Map looks X but plays Y because different people do different jobs and they don't work together to make sure how the map looks actually corresponds to how it should play. Thus you end up with horrible spawn points because whoever designed the map has no idea what the gameplay needs to be like. Also using OLD MAPS for new gameplay doesn't work because the design is from a time where the gameplay was different so the Map could be great for the time it was made and simply not fit for the gameplay of today. This happens so frequently. Something simple like Sprint speed can massively alter how you play a map, something like being able to jump creates a whole new level for the Map. That's why Map design is such a big issue for CoD, you have to design maps that fit the gameplay instead of fitting the gameplay into any Map designed "at random". People all over the "comunity" will tell you CoD Ghosts maps were too big, and theres 2 or 3 that were because they had multiple levels, but in general how fast you could move in CoD Ghosts ( i know weird right, talking about move speed in a camper game (it's not a camper game, people are just seriously dumb but it's the cod comunity what do i expect)) makes sense for having bigger maps. If you make characters too agile in small maps then it becomes super hard to hit anyone and it's why you have slide canceling and bunny hopping 24/7 and then you won't hit jack shit because you really can't. How do you fix it? Not by fixing maps, we know that's not how they do things even tho that's how they should do it, so what they actually do is increase AIM ASSIST to make sure your aim is sticking so you can hit shots. So as you can see just from talking about spawns i can go the entire map design and gameplay aspect so it's not just the spawns it's the entire game.

@@Angel05433they need a dedicated team to that handles just about everything and enough time to do it if we are to get a proper game that flows well. Removing sbmm will alleviate issues but the maps being out of place will kinda always be there. They need communication and they have to learn to make better maps.

The worst one is when you're just a casual player who managed to get a streak of 5-6 wins in gunfight and you get matched with pro players in literally every game mode now.

@@Denelixmine always says 18-22 latency. It’s lying. It’s telling me what I have but not what the game is giving me. You can visually see the change after each death sometimes. When it wants you to lose you will start seeing you die before you see the person that mag dumped on you to get the kill.

@@chriswilliams9069 what are you sayingg???? Maybe check your own latency for packet loss? I get packet loss on atlanta servers (where i get 8 ping) and i still land all my shots. As a person who coded mods and made an anticheat for games and services cods bullets are completely client sided. If you have 600 ping and shoot someone you will kill them because you sent “i hit *insert player* packet” (i tested it, it works you can even see it on kill cams of laggy players). Obviously Activision has it more complicated than that to stop cheaters from instant killing everyone across the map, etc. i have never not once had a “hit reg” issue unless, you are experiencing high packet loss which you cannot send a “i shot” packet. I think this take is a very far stretch especially for beta servers. If there’s anything you have for questions i am willing to inform you.

@@Denelix what I’m describe is a slight over exaggeration. Of course I see the other play. My time to reacts is virtually non existent when the game wants me to fail. I don’t have packet loss. When I do, I’m aware of it. I do have 3 accounts though. Mine, my 11yo’s and my 8yo’s. Their accounts don’t play like mine. Not even close. They run smooth as butter most of the time. The 11yo’s have been getting difficult but he has also considerably improve over the past few months. My 8yo’s account is a different story. Spawns are always good, aim assist is sticky and hit boxes are huge. His ping is always good and he often has the upper hand in the fight. He can have hard games as well but you never feel crazy throttled like mine. My games aren’t always that way either. Only when it really wants to work against me. Usually directly after I have 1-2 really good matches. Also, I’ll add that 24/7 really messes with the SBMM system. If you play only that game mode it thinks you are way better than you are. Your damage per minute is much higher in that mode and I’m constantly rushing and shooting. If I play that for a long period of time. Like the entire season. then they’ve taken 24/7 shipment away. When I start playing random lobbies again it will be difficult for 5-15 matches. Then the game breaks. I’ll get my 8yo’s lobbies for a while, until it readjusts. All 3 account play drastically different. All 3 also have ruffly the same KD. They also, at time have all the same type of players in the lobbies. The 8yo get the same movement gods that I get in my games, even seen a lot of the same names on both accounts. The difference is he gets all the advantages the game can give him and I get crippled.

Yo bro, I'm 110% with you word for word. After mw2 2023, I quit COD. It's not fun, I can sweat with the best of them and easily be top 3 in the lobby but what's the point in sweating every single match. The reward does not come close to outweighing the cost. Even if you like to sweat every round smelling like cornnuts and cheese, you then have the game shooting you up to 100ping or throwing your aim off slightly to even the battlefield. It's mentally draining. New age gamers play like their grandma is held captive and her release rides on the current match I'm in. Or they're getting paid 100k per round they play. Then the company moves on to the next sweaty game a year later without changing much. It's all pointless and boring now. The goal is to drain as much money from naive gamers as possible. If you say "get better" youre definitely apart of the problem. So your argument is automatically invalid and embarrassing since you don't know what's going on.

I agree 100%. SBMM has literally ALWAYS been in COD since COD4:MW but *it was Predominantly Team Balancing*. It made sure the two strongest players wouldn’t get put on the same team, that was all. And it did its job and everyone loved it. Sometimes you’d get dunked on, sometimes you’d be doing the dunking but every lobby had a good *MIXTURE* of players to populate it. A couple of sweats, a few average players and a few noobs. Everyone got to play and learn and do their thing; experiment and what not. This garbage now just populates every lobby with *ALL SWEATS* and it’s very tedious. A challenge once in a while? Perfect. All the time? Hell no. Or it’ll do this weird thing where it puts you against a STACKED team and leaves you with nothing but potatoes when playing solo.. I do good and now I have to carry people that clearly aren’t supposed to be in this lobby??? Make it make sense. SSBM is getting A LOT of media attention right now from very high places so this might finally be the year they nix this shit… Hopefully.. (probably not)

im glad someone else experienced the one-sided team balancing, because I always find when i'm up against a team of sweats, my team seems to be ALL low skill players with no kills and no playing of objective. Every once in a while, I'll be on the sweat team for a change, and i'll be up against another entirely horrible team with maybe 1 competitive player. If the lobby is half and half high skill/low skill players, why are the teams not split evenly? It's amazing that the *slightest* adjustment could make the game TEN times more playable for everyone as a whole

I’m glad I’m not the only one tripping about SBMM. I thought the beta supposed to be a chill/fun testing gameplay not tryna tryout for the esport event 😭😭

My experience of the beta, first game was dominated on rust on a fresh account. I went 42 - 3 and then the next 10 games where HELL and I never played it again after that.

SBMM is the absolute worst in call of duty. If anything I'm back on Xenoverse 2 and I'm gonna stay there.

I haven't played cod in almost a year. hopped onto the beta and literally the first match was ridiculous. sweats and cheaters everywhere. people aiming through walls. pre aiming around corners in specific spots. finding me when i have ghost. and everyone using the striker. i got to witness my first kill camception since the OG MW3. saw my kill cam inside a kill cam inside a kill cam. nearly impossible to play.

Everything you said is facts. I've gone back and forth today between casual and CDL championship lobbies. They are two completely different games. When XDefiant gets released, I'm going to play both games and see how much of a difference there is in time played between the two games.

i remember last year when they released the mw2 trello, they accidentally made it editable by anyone and within minutes it was filled with REMOVE SBMM everywhere.

Yeah, I'm gonna be honest I started doing it in mw2 and after dropping my k/d from 2.3 to 1.15 its actually not terrible. I don't do it to drop nukes, just so I don't have to sweat every match and can get good connection. I don't want bot lobbies I just don't want ranked with less benefits and more bs. I kinda wish everyone would reverse boost, maybe then they'd just remove it all together

Never seen a video from you before, but I'm glad you popped up. You're funny as hell bro lol. Maybe with the departure of Bobby Kotick SBMM can finally get addressed. So true on the KD ratio part, I remember in BO1 making a new account with a buddy and seeing who had the highest KD ratio once we hit 50. You could end up around an 8-10 KD (not even KDA). I'd be lucky nowadays to do that and get over a 2 KD it's unreal. One game of dumping on kids then I'm playing Optic.

We could be brothers the way we both talk and joke around 😂 The sbmmm dev joke had Rolf.

I didn't mind it much on the mw3 beta. Sure, there were lobbies where everyone had 25+kills and half the team had 30 kills on rust, but I enjoyed the gameplay. Going back to mw2 during the haunting event it's fucking torture. At the beginning I was getting 40 kills and not caring, which then put me into a super sweaty lobby in which I was FORCED TO DO WELL TO GET THE SOULS, AND KEEP ON PLAYING ON THOSE LOBBIES. I may have to get over 20 kills to get the 8 or 12 souls , and then on top of that I have to run into the souls and get out of cover. The problem often comes the next match where I'm trying to get the kill them and since the match will be even sweatier I won't even be able to pick the souls. Now I'm just trying to get the souls and start reverse boosting right after getting the max amount of souls per match, just so I don't get pegged by sbmm.

Finally since 2017 I found a KZreadr that don’t give a fuck and swear and actually have some humor, also being always based and straight, no bs

It's crazy back in the days of mw2 classic i was meh first month or so then i got my groove. I jump into wz in 2019 took a second to get my start up but I got it Then I jump on to mw3 and thank I'm starting to get good enough to be called sweaty, all to be thrown into what feels like an elite ranked game to get crushed and I hate that . Win 2 then loose the next 3 ? How is that fare?

It’s even funnier when you actually hear how excited the casual Timmy No Thumbs get about each CoD year in and year out. I have a couple IRL friends who are middle of the road, dirt casual CoD players who think that their experience is a 1:1 comparison to those of us who are playing in the top 5% skill brackets. I’ve had to tell them that if they TRULY think that then they haven’t played a single match in the competitive playlist. It’s a different world for us and it gets taxing after a while. I understand I can’t play every game against 6 dads who just got off of a 12 hour shift and I wouldn’t want to. There’s no fun in taking massive dumps on people who aren’t as good as me or the people I play with for hours on end, but that doesn’t mean I want to play against the mega sweats every game either AND I also have my connection sabotaged in the attempt to match me with them.

I haven’t played the beta and I’m also not buying it but sbmm was always one of the worst things about cod

I bought MW 2019 after skipping out on every cod since BO2. That was my first mistake. My second one was buying MW 2022 thinking it would be better. I won’t make the same mistake with the garbage that is MW 2023.

Skill based Matchmaking = save your 70 dollars for a good game

I noticed once I get in a 5 kill streak I’ll get t enemy’s spawning behind me. Or I’ll be the only good player on a team of noobs. Really considering moving over to xdefiant

This is exactly why I'll be on Xdefiant. It may not be as polished, may not have little things. It may even have bugs. But I'll atleast not be being suffocated by the matchmaking every game. I won't have to turn my game off whenever I have a good match because I'm nervous I've ruined the rest of my play session because I did too well. I literally turn COD off when I have a good game because I know my fun is over for the night.

I think how the algorithm works is its takes more then just your accuracy, how much you shoot, reload, slide, and jump, as well as your score/m and kd. I feel like it also tracks your accuracy and overall skill per gun type. as in mw2019 and mw2 i only snipped and only used regular weapons when tryjng to get Demarcus or Orion. This beta has completely made it almost impossible to hit my usual easy flicks and quick scopes but for some reason in the beta i find that il go to flick and my cursor just stops ever so conveniently beside them unless iv aimed for the head. almost all if not most of my kills using snipers had to be direct headshot’s in order to actually get a hit. This was so prevalent i went and downloaded the beta on my ps5 because i was playing on pc and plugged in a mouse and keyboard. and its the same thing but switch to a controller and the aim assist carry’s my aim to the person as well as getting the aim resist stopping me from aiming on them at all, so then i switch back and start using regular weapons and out if nowhere my aim is immaculate. im hitting every shot untill im about to get an sae then for some reason all the people i shot 5-6 times for my streak, now need a minimum of ten bullets to the upper chest to land a kill. with the mcw which from what i saw had an average of 5-6 shots to kill, thats an average of 27 damage per bullet in the chest. and if i killed someone with 5 bullets to the chest then there shouldnt be a reason why it would take about 10 bullets to get the same affect. that about a 40% damage decrease thats 270 damage if each bullet landed. Even if i didnt hit all ten and only hit 8 thats 216 damage so why then are people killing me with the same gun for 4-6 bullets only. not once in The top right did i ever see that i got shot more then 4-6 times by one person after dying doesnt matter the gun if its a battle rifle an ar or smg was always an average of 4 shots to die. that means if someone with the striker from far range has killed me in 4 shots before i could kill them in ten with the mcw thats like 37 damage at long range with an smg. so i tried some personal testing and ran a vm on my computer and made a new activision account and downloaded the beta and instantly for i would say a out the first 5-10 matches were probably the most fun Ive had in call of duty in about 10 years. it was almost impossible to miss like my mouse had some type of aim assist. i was going on 15 kill streaks up untill about that tenth game then i noticed i almost couldnt hit anything all my shots were landing beside them but previously the match before i was playing so accurate i felt like faze kitty and the next game i went and used a stock mcw but for some reason i was killing people in 4-6 shots. and it stayed like that all game untill the next game when i couldnt aim at the person and its taking about 10 shots to kill someone, when the previous game with the exact same setup i was getting kills for about 4-6 shots why is that. So the next game i used a mix of both ar and sniper and couldnt get more then 10 kills on rust when previously i was dropping 20-30 a game. I then switched to the striker smg and again i had amazing aim people died quick and i had no aim resist so i went back to my regular account and tried the striker and it was the same exact thing up untill the next game when i saw the same active damage nerfs happening nobody was dying everybody was a bullet sponge. it just wasnt fun but the first game was fun. So in conclusion what i think is going on is to stop meta classes and help shittier players play with better ones not only is the sbmm messing with your actual aim in real time its also nerfing the damage of your weapon depending in your skill with that weapon. so if you are a sniper good luck hitting feeds unless your cod partner or a big streamer because the way i see it and from what primitive tests i could do it seems that the better you are with something the more the game is going to retroactively nerf what you do so i will be refunding my preorder on November 10th before i even put any play time into the full release as id rather spend my time giving money to developers who dont actively nerf you to make you feel more incentivized to by bundles for a weapon i like because that bundle gets special buffs that using the regular gun with the same attachments and tuning just doesnt. Dont believe me go into mw2 and buy any bundle pretty much any bundle and put the same attachments on that gun and tune it the same then test your recoil, damage and accuracy aka hip and ads bullet spread and you will see what i mean. This layer of sbmm has to 100% be made to push bundles and blueprints. why? Because if you just use base guns then out if nowhere it just sucks, but you still want to use that gun your more likely to find a good looking bundle for it with an attachment set that you like. and notice you end up shredding with it better then you would with the base gun of the same attachments. then when the active nerfing sbmm kicks in and you no longer shred with that gun after a set amount of games. youre gonna just move to a different gun and the cycle continues. i think id rather deal with the hackers in the original modern warfare 3 then to actively fight the game to just play normally, obviously this is all speculation but with what Ive done in my power to test and compare. it really seems like they implemented an active nerfing system into the game for sbmm and to help push bundles

I think SBMM (to a certain extend, not to the extend that its now) and Team balancing are fine but what we really dislike here is the EOMM, it ruins your connection and makes the games predictable (win 1, lose 4 and repeat), it just feels unorganic. I'm moving to other games for now, might look into cod again on Treyarchs next game, they have not disappointed me so far unlike Infinity Turd and Sludgebummer.

The most f*****-up part is that this is actually the best cod in years. It's just that everything happening behind-the-scenes is destroying the experience and if you think things will be different with the Treyarch game you are sorely mistaken. The only thing that can potentially save this game is Microsoft coming in and forcing a change to the sbmm system. But I highly doubt that will happen because they have 69 billion reasons not to do anything

You shit around 2 or 3 games, miss all your shots and move around like a kid drooling, playing on his moms phone, I promise you the next few games will have absolute lobotomite lobbies. I am 120% sure most youtubers do this if they don't stream. I don't like it either but that's just the way it's gotta be. We can't get cod to pull the plug on sbmm, it just makes too much money in the long run, so we might as well learn to live with it instead of crying into the void.

Ngl the SBMM, movement, and spawns are ruining it for me. I'm glad that I haven't bought the game. I can only play a few matches and then I have to get off.

Saying that people who like SBMM suck is the biggest projection I've seen when all you want to do is pubstomp all day rather then improve by going up against people similar to your skill level. Such a hope (replace "H" with "C")

I only played the highrise playlist and my games became so hard i couldn't tell the difference between enemy players and cheaters. I'm on controller. Every other player is always on mouse and keyboard in the lobby screen. I saw that i needed to use a different gun to unlock an attachment on a gun i actually wanted to use, so i switched to that level 1 gun and couldn't really do anything at all. I also heard xdefiant will have no sbmm.

The answer is a solid NO! I swear dude, as an OG who started with CoD4 back in the day, I really feel the pain of all who made the mistake to keep playing CoD from MW2019 & after. SBMM in the past few games has only one goal: Keep the casual noobs with their 💩 .5 KDs happy, while disgracing all of us, the OGs. I haven't touched a CoD since BO4, which is the last good solid MP experience & I've quit the franchise for good since MW2019 came out. Good thing I've always been a gamer with a huge variety of games, so f'cking CoD isn't a loss for me to not play anymore. Less brain problems too! I hard agree with all your points! F'ck Activi$ion & all of their bs tactics.

The reason it's so heavy in the beta is because the level cap for the beta is 30, so the game will try pairing you close to that if you perform well in the game or two.

My beta KD might be worse than my KD in the original MW3 when I first started playing in 2012

I remember back in black ops 2, sucking ass at the game. Getting straight up murdered, but seeing those cool kills made you want to practice to improve. I grinded months to get good with the knife to get my diamond. Now, I’m afraid of doing well because next game I’m facing people who are hopping around like they are coked up. It doesn’t feel satisfying to get killed anymore because you aren’t learning anything, the spectacle feels lost.

They really can't talk about sbmm. It's more than likely a NDA or something similar. Activision has a patent on their SBMM that can be found through google. They will put you in easy lobbies the more often you buy in game items. Your chances of hitting a shot is affected by your SBMM. Lower tier players can shoot at you and "magic" bullets hit you despite never being on target. Higher tier players will get a larger random bullet spread.

It is so refreshing to hear someone not have to apologize or tiptoe around the fact that the game is more enjoyable when you are better than your opponents. Why do/did people enjoy nukes or high kill gameplays? Because they are exciting. If everyone is equal then you don’t get nukes or high kill gameplays , which isn’t exciting. So many fail to realize that decisions have consequences. SBMM almost always comes with the consequence of people losing the incentive to play more and get better. This is the complete opposite of how the games used to be. When I started playing , I was bad but wanted to get better because I knew that as my skill improved my games would get easier on average. Now if you get better , your games get harder. Why would anyone play the game more if this is the case ? why would anyone want to get better ? A bunch of money hungry - everyone gets a trophy idiots are in charge of the SBMM decisions 🤦🏾‍♂️

Haven't played a newer modern COD since 2019's MW. Downloaded the beta and was very rusty but first three matches I was slightly positive KD not playing as seriously. Fourth match I went 40-16 playing a hardpoint match (primarily playing the objective) on Favela after getting adjusted and warmed up. Knew right there and then that the SBMM would throw me into a match with players playing like money was on the line and sure enough, it happened. Proceeded to get dunked on by people flying all over the map with god tier aim and meta weapons/setups. I developed a headache trying to play in these lobbies. Some of those lobbies were pitting me against KBM users even though I was on my Xbox. This went on for like 6 or 7 matches and then I ended up in not as intense lobbies before calling it a night.

Mw19 is the worst game ever because it introduced us to this bs SBMM with lobbies disbanding and that is a fact. Even if it was in bo2 for example at least the goddamn lobbies didn't disband.

I agree, I can't even enjoy a game on mw3 since I'm a casual player but I get put with full lobbies of level 55's and it's so sweaty.

It's the VERY inconsistent gunfights, which is probably because of my ping I guess idk, the aim resist which I've only ever experienced in the new MW games, and the constant COD world league matches I'm put in. It honestly bores me because I know what every match is going to be, there's no variety in COD anymore.

I feel like these days there are just generally more sweats playing than ever before. Back then most people played on a console hooked to a TV with 30-60FPS at best, some people had headsets on, but I knew a lot of my friends who played with speakers while using that single earpiece mic. These days a lot of players have hardware that's capable of reaching high refresh rates, they have surround sound headsets, and watch a bunch of videos about how to improve in the game.

I think the biggest issue is there is too many playlist so it separates the playerbase too much.

As a ranked play player, I dealt with this a lot in Vanguard and MWll, I’d ping 90 and the entire enemy team would be around 20. It makes a massive difference and is literally unfair gunfights. You’re right, this should be talked about significantly more

SBMM in pubs is like needing a membership to shop at Walmart. Then they tell you they already charged you $69.99, and you say "i don't want this" and then they say "Want what?" Then some old lady blindsides you with her cart, runs to her car and speeds away.

SBMM is the reason why I cancelled my pre-order. The one in MW2 was barely bearable, but this one in the beta was way worse. The people who argue against those in disfavour of SBMM always say things along the lines of, "yeah you just dont want to play against players of your skill level and you only want frag hard on noobs". But one thing that they always fail to grasp is that SBMM not only makes the enemy team you're up against stacked with good players, it also gives you a team filled with "less good" players. I have lost count of the number of times I've carried the team in objective scores (not just kills) only to lose the game. The game is inherently not fun when the odds are stacked against you right from the get go. Why can't there be a matchmaking system that puts a fair, equal balance of good and "less good" players on both teams?
