I DRIVE TO SAUDI ARABIA TO SEE THE DAKAR RALLY 2024 WITH MY HILUX! |EP1|
I had to share what's going on with me in real times. I have changed continent a few months ago. I left my beloved Africa for the Middle East. The next part of the solo expedition is to drive from the UAE to Iraq and then let's see what happens. I still have sooo much to share about my overland experience throughout Africa with you. And about this overland journey across the Middle East too. But I had to share this real times crazy adventure here in Saudi Arabia because yep....ladies and gentlemen, I drove to see the unique DAKAR! I drove more than 2,000 kilometers from Oman to reach the village of Shaybatah where the stage 5 of the Dakar Rally 2024 is happening. What an experience! I won't say much about it, hope you will have fun watching the DAKAR through my eyes and stay tuned for a few other episodes to come... because yep, it's NOT over yet. The next two days, I'm driving 2,000 kilometers more to attend the final in Yanbu. In the meantime, ENJOY the Dakar!

Whaaaaat??? 😳. ... You're in the Middle East ?!?!?!?!🫢 (😂😂😂) So what is the problem with those roads? Is it that the sand is constantly blowing across them? Unless you speeded up the video (?) you drive a lot quicker than you drove in Africa. And all the time at the start of the video you sound so very super-excited! 🤪 (Poor Felix!... Poor French medical guys! 😂😂😂) Ah Charline. It is really good hear you so excited and happy☺️ Oh but Rafiki was looking very heroic on top of the sand dune as the sun went down 🦸🏻♂️👏👏👏 I am surprised the French medical guys slept on camp beds in the open air ... not even a pitched tent! 🤷🏻♂️ 😲What an exciting place to wake up !!! And so very exciting when the racers appeared 🤩 (Has this experience tempted you again to get a motorbike?! You could fit the motorbike rack on Rafiki's tailgate 👍) The competitors camp was so fascinating... and so massive! The bike towing the car was crazy!!! Charline, I know you are passionate about Toyota, but did you see any Mitsubishis? 😉

Love this video so much. And you are so excited! I respect the bikes, quads and buggies, but for me it’s the conventional 4X4, the cars (love the Rothmans Porsches and the 2CV) and the awesome trucks!❤ The way they launch over the dunes! Wow! What navigation device did you use across the desert?

Yes it’s absolutely spectacular!!! I definitely recommend to drive to the Dakar and to witness this fantastic racing experience! I’m not fancy with the navigation system haha I use Google maps😂
