I don't go anywhere without my Tour DX. I recently dropped down to 14lbs and I like my 14lbs even more than my 15lb. Crazy how some balls just matchup with people and some don't.

Luis, my Tour Dynam-x is drilled 60x4½x30, so very similar to yours. And I too track over the thumb some. Not exactly sure why. But the control with that ball is great.

Mine is 60x4x40 & also tracks through the thumb hole. I have loved my TDX on a variety of shots. Really shines on sport, yet no slouch on house either.

PSA in the thumb makes the ball the MOST Asymmetrical possible, not Symmetrical. It RAISES the RG of the PSA, which is already the high RG, this creates the highest Diff possible, and increases the INT diff (aka Asymmetry)

If I drill a ball and don’t like it, I don’t have a choice but to find a surface for it so I can use it and keep it in the bag.. I definitely can not afford to continue to buy new balls and just hope I match up with something.. I do a lot of research before I purchase a ball and hopefully I like it.. I can maybe only buy a new ball every 5 months so yea I have to make what I buy work..

Great videos as always. Question for you what is your current league arsenal and it’s currently different than your tournament arsenal? How often do you change balls for league and tournaments and what specifically and why at least for you?

Yay Lou, you are becoming a Full Roller with the TOUR DYNAM-X! Welcome to the club. 😛 TOUR DYNAM-X did look really good straight up the lane, or in from the far right. I would keep it in the bag for special occasions when you need to go right at them. There have been balls that looked like they had great potential for me, but my first layout on them was incorrect. That incorrect layout taught me what the ball really wanted so I got a second one and put a different layout on it and it was killer. This has happened several times for me. But there have also been balls that I tried all kinds of layouts on and they still sucked. Those balls went straight to the dumpster.

I matched up really well with the Tour Dynam-X. It’s a great complement to my purple Hammer. The Revenant was the ball that I just couldn’t figure out. Adjusted surface and it was a little better, but still not good.

Your description of the Absolute Power was how the Eternity Pi was for me. When I hit the Pi with surface it was a little too uncontrollable even on the fresh, but when it got lane shined it got too far down lane and didn’t pick up off the spot hard enough to recover.

I hit my Pi with 4000grit and I think I actually like the reaction of it more than the factory finish. It made it a tad cleaner through the fronts but picked up when it saw friction. So it retained some energy going through the pins.

@@DJMcRae08 well I think part of my problem is the layout. The layout is shit. It’s pin down which makes it want to pick up even sooner that it already does, which just kills all the energy that the ball has. I didn’t know much about layouts when I picked that up so it’s sort of my own fault but I haven’t heard too many other people like it either and they have more fitting layouts than me. To each their own I guess 😂😂

@@DJMcRae08 hmmm interesting. I thought layouts worked differently for everyone based off of their PAP.

If I haven't matched up with a ball, it's usually because I haven't practiced with it enough. The 2 that I have gotten this past year that that are like that with me are the Duo and Mtoiv Black Venom. Yes, I have strung strikes with both, but I have not figured out how to use them to be consistent for me. Strikes or splits.

I didn't match up with the VEBO at all, and I was so frustrated one night after league that I ended up throwing it in the dumpster. Maybe it was the layout, maybe it was the lanes I bowl on most of the time I don't know. But, shortly after, I drilled up the Attention Star with the same layout and surface prep and that ball has been absolute money! There's a ball out there for everyone, but the VEBO definitely wasn't it for me. I highly doubt that'll give it a second chance and drill another one.

Man that TDX is hated by me. Same issue. It’s decent straight but as soon as it lane shines it’s dead. Hate the TDX. I still practice with it though to see if I can make small tweaks to get it to do what I want.

Shelf it after various surface changes. May work/ play with the balls over the summer.

Love my Tour Dynamix! You have IQ/U, so on short patterns, this ball can be your second go to. On house, I wait to the lanes dry out then use this ball. It is Niche, but a great tool in the tool bag.

I have the tour dynamics x for house shot low rev low speed and I have some trouble getting it to be consistent. Maybe need to rethink drilling layout or Indian needs to throw it better. Been working on timing a lot lately and getting it consistent and then look at it again

I found with the Absolute Power that if I really got around it it didn't look good at all but if I stayed behind it, it was a tank.

The Gem never worked for me. I changed the surface several times and even had it plugged and re-drilled and still no luck. The DNA was another ball I couldn’t match up with. It was always over/under no matter the surface.

Love my Tour Dynamix. Hoping to use it this weekend on a Chromium pattern.

Definitely try balls at multiple houses before you dismiss one entirely. I do most of my bowling at a very high-friction house, which means balls with friction-sensitive covers simply aren't in play. I've got a Phaze 5 that looks awful there because of the R2S cover, but it's a fantastic look when I go to houses that have less friction and allow the ball to do what it's meant to do.

I must have missed the original absolute power review but it’s kind of surprising you didn’t like it. I heard so many good things about it being a fairly versatile ball. I don’t have one never really had a need for it but it’s just interesting to see how some balls are so good for some but so bad for others. Love the content brother keep it up!

I have been debating for a while on the tour dynamics I bowl in a house shot that doesn’t have a lot of oil so I still here a lot of people that love it but I believe it is a very underrated ball but I’m looking for a big ball solid I would love to have the absolute power well keep giving up this great content and as always be blessed today and every day

Like most people, I do my best to limit the amount of balls I buy. Because of this, I do extensive research before making a purchase. However, if there's a ball that I simply don't match up with, I'll normally donate it to the local youth leagues. No reason for it to collect dust when someone else could enjoy it.

Hyped solid is a ball that i just cant get to work. If i play straight with it overhooks. Move left doesnt do anything.

What do you want for the Absolute power?

You need some balls where you can close your angles down, tour dynamix looked really good. I'm wondering if you were on a short sport pattern throwing urethane if this ball would work with carry down. If you need ideas for content, why not do another vid on a short pattern, throw some urethane, then get into this and see what it does.

Who else was expecting a dark code?

The Absolute Power has a super weak cover, it's nothing like the Harsh Reality. Imo the best time to use the power is when there's carry down to contend with.

Good Night and Good Riddance

My tour dynamix was money for the first 3 months. Now I can not get it to come back to life. It was always very oil adverse. It was never good from inside angles. It likes to play straight.

Makes me wonder: Is there even such a thing as an objectively bad bowling ball anymore? I think most manufacturers know what they're doing ever since the infamous tragedy of the Big Shim. I mean the Big Shim was OBJECTIVELY gawd awful because it was uncontrollable and inconsistent no matter who threw it no matter how it was punched up. That ball worked for NO ONE. The term DOA gets thrown out a lot when it comes to bowling balls these days but the Big Shim was TRULY DOA. I almost want to do a retrospective video about the tragedy of the Big Shim. Don't think it's like that with anything that has come out since. I mean this isn't the mid 2000s where if you bought a particle ball you were pretty much scammed. Even though I did love my Ebonite XXXCel which was particle...but back in those days I was decisively speed dominant so it worked for me. The technology with most bowling balls allows almost every piece out there to score high in any environment if you got the right surface and if it's punched up properly to match how you throw it. Everything else is straight execution and decision making.
