Tom, there are just a few of us who see Gallagher’s value. He is relentless and his intensity is second to none. The problem he’s had is that Pochettino has exposed him by giving him a creator/attacking midfielder role when he is clearly a DM. By having Connor and Caicedo apart, Pochettino has ruined their season and credibility. Enzo, who is supposed to be the conduit in midfield, has been really slow and poor. Anyway, I am part of the few who support Gallagher

Looking from the outside they will need better development capacities for younger players. At least from a German perspective, if a young player goes to Chelsea it’s usually bad for his career. Look at Havertz or Werner. Rüdiger came as an experienced CB from Roma, so it was fine.

It's sad that the question is posed to the only player who is actually playing for the badge.

They clearly aren’t putting the effort in otherwise we wouldn’t be in this situation and to fire back at Rio questioning why Gallagher is answering that question; 1. He’s been our captain longer than our actual captains and 2. We don’t have any older/experienced players, it’s just Thiago Silva and he don’t speak English. Just for once I’d like for someone in the squad to speak the truth and none of this media training bs

Ajax 95 (and 2019), Utd class of 92, Monaco 2017, France 2018, Germany 2010. All big successful young teams, and in all those teams the majority of players have gone on to be stars or have brilliant careers at the top level. It is not an issue in youth, as always, it's an issue in attitude and application. And Arsenal have a very similar squad in age profile.

Big difference having the youngest squad in Europe (or at least thereabout) and next to no experienced players in their best 11 and the prem experienced players Spurs have tho. They have players like Son, Maddison, Bissouma, Richarlison etc who have been in the prem. They also have players like Davies and Højbjerg in the dressing room. Spurs have done great, but Chelsea lack leadership far more than them.

Let's consider the 16 first team regulars bought under Boehly. By my estimation, only Palmer, Gusto and Petrovic can be considered successes. The jury is still out on Enzo, Nkunku, Caicedo, Jackson and Disasi and the rest have been failures thus far.

I think all the team need to watch some EFL games. The shear effort every match is astounding. I think at best our players are at 60-75% of this.

Tbf was only last week they beat Everton 6-0 who usually are solid at the back, they were unbeaten in 7 games until losing to us in the FA cup on Saturday which was a close game, they've only lost 3 games in the last 14, City, Liverpool and Arsenal the 3 title challengers, Chelsea fans need to chill, they've had a good last two months

What people forget is that its not that Chelsea were bad but rather Arsenal was excellent at their best and sometimes thats all it is a team on the day being exceptionally good and executing the plan to the point. Just give credit to Arsenal as we would if it was City or Liverpool ....

Man I’m very sad about this performance but he answered that difficult question perfectly. Look I can never fault Conor in terms of his effort week in week out I blame recruitment for buying players like Badiashile, the 2 Goalkeepers, and spending so much on unproven talent.

Gallagher, Cucurella, Gilchrist and Petrovic were the only ones that can come out of that mauling feeling like they at least tried. Neither of the centre backs took charge of anything, wingers didn’t track back enough, Enzo and Caicedo anonymous, and Jackson, for all the good stuff he does do, has so much immaturity. People can laugh at how much money has been spent and theorize on where Chelsea should be in the league, but a billion on unpolished, currently mid-table level players is just going to leave the team in mid-table 🤷‍♂️

It was quite literally men against boys. Arsenal were in the same boat a few years back with everyone wanting Arteta out. Not sure any manger can get consistancy out of this lot as there is no spine the side. Chelsea played like a side that were 3 nil up and cruising; asking for trouble against what is a pretty ruthless Arsenal side. We were fannying around with the ball, giving it away very amateur. The squad needs to either mature quickly, or sell and buy experience. Not sure we can afford to sack Poch as he will need to be paid out. Owners need to decide quickly, set a plan and let everyone know the thought process. The sad thing is that most of the chelsea players would he bought by top clubs, but they don't yet make a team collectively

Poch is not a good fit for Chelsea. He doesn't play players to their strengths, mostly playing them out of position. He's not firm. Madueke got rewarded with a start in the next game after laughing sheepishly with the opposition during the last semi final loss, despite having alternatives. This is not a manager fit for Chelsea.

As Arsenal fan, I've wished for a long time formus to give Chelsea a drubbing like they used to give us. But this felt hollow, this isn't the Chelsea I remember. The blame lies at the owners doorstep. He thought he could play being a club owner likes it's a video game. I think I'd take the Glazers over this numpty, atleast they seem to be finally putting together a board room capable of changing things. I don't see a good future for Chelsea football club.

I genuinely like Gallagher as a player. I think he is underrated and deserves more respect. For starters, I do not understand the central defender pairing today. That was a joke. Jackson is not a striker. When he heads the ball, it reminds me of someone heading a nerf ball or a mini beachball, but never in my life have I witnessed a player handing the ball instead of heading it [unless it was blatant cheating] He actually looked scared that it would hurt him. I do believe we have some very talented players, but our team does not function as a team, and long ago I lost hope in the 'trust the process' jargon. Please Joe, put your boots back on; you'd be a big improvement for Chelsea.

I like Connor Gallagher, but he needs to get out of that club, he is way too young to be captain of a big team. At his age he should just be focussing on his game and being influenced by senior pros.
