Some driving tips in Sri Lanka: If some upcoming vehicle blinks their headlights for you in these wild roads, it means there are elephants ahead of you. If they do it on normal roads, it means there are traffic police ahead you! 😂

Very friendly elephants ! As far as I know they would never hurt, if u let them be. But if a calf is hurt or if some one does some funny stuff, they would charge. In konkan, in Maharastra bengal tigers are spotted, in Junagadh in Gujarat, there's lion sanctuary. In Mudumalai jungles in Tamil Nadu there are elephants. Man n animals are comfortable with each other n no one croses their own boundaries.. Nice capture n beautiful surroundings..

Disclaimer !!! To any tourist who excited to do this in future !.If you just passing by it's ok. but if you are intentionally want to drive close to them, "Do dumb shit at your own risk". Do you know how many people die in a year by elephant attacks in Sri Lanka ?.They are cute and all but their moods can shift to calm to aggressive in seconds. when they get angry you can't run with them.

Nice to see you dodging the road Marshalls 😁. By the way the brown unmilled rice is normally called paddy or rice paddy. The outer Hull is then removed through milling and then you get the edible rice.

A little caution: when ascending hilly roads, keep your distance with the vehicle in front. Incase if it brakes or halts while changing gear you might be in danger.

Regarding rice milling machines they use there which are small scale, aren't very dangerous. Unless you try to jump into one chances of getting injured by one is very low. biggest Danger actually prolonged exposure to dust made by milling process.

@@Steve-Owens PS, on the's he's behind you. Where's there's one elephant, there may be more than one. You might be concentrating on the one you've seen, not the others. Same for the mothers and babies. They are protective. I went to the elephant sanctuary near where you are. GF was given a bottle to feed one of the babies. Blimmin' heck. They youngsters are fast. You need to be on the right side of the barrier. 200Kg of baby elephant, with no brakes, coming at you at speed....
