No one in the league has ever had that ability. He also does much the same when the opponent decides to pass to a cutter in the lane!

​@@robertnelson1743Wilt in 1960 was doing the same things as Wemby in 2024. Thats a dumb comment, the league had 8 teams with only one other 7 footer. Wilt, couldnt dribble or shoot, plus Wilt was shorter, less agile and slower. 💯

Do you realize you've placed Wemby as a rookie in the same class as one of the greatest players of all time? So how dumb is the narrative that we are seeing the beginnings of the best player of all time if he stays healthy?

I think we need to realize that teams will learn how to play around or fade him. In other words, teams will adapt too. The real danger for teams is what you mentioned: players that are supporting roles and available to score. I guess this is what salary caps are for.

Adjustments for Wemby wont matter unless the NBa allows the use of step ladders. Wemby is always open vertically.💯
